I am half tempted to make a Ćol'kotusan (conlang) master post and try to actually publically post all the grammar rules and stuff for it
Would anybody be interested?
remember everyone if you google [subject] wiki and the top result is from fandom, literally scroll down like, at all. if an independent wiki exists it will almost be the second result, and it will almost always be better than the fandom wiki. a shocking number of people seem to be unaware of this technique
Too serious!!!
I've been playing a lot of Pokemon (GO!, FireRed, and Ruby specifically), so I decided that, in honor of Pokemon day, it would be fun to imagine my ocs as gym leaders or champions!
Yessei: Dark type gym leader, Elite 4
L. 50 Houndoom
L. 50 Weavile
L. 50 Kingambit
L. 50 Scrafty
L. 55 Mandibuzz
L. 65 Hydreigon
If you can't tell, I think Yessei's team would frustrate an entire generation of players lol.
Something about Yessei's arc just screams dark-type, despite how positive she can be about it.
Stardust (Kalinua): Steel-type gym leader, 5th gym
L. 30 Magneton
L. 30 Metang
L. 30 Skarmory
L. 35 Gholdengo
Just to make this team a bit of a nuisance, I feel like Kalinua's Magneton has the ability Sturdy, preventing you from knocking it out in one hit.
Kalinua's military background just radiates steel-type.
Hota: Psychic-type gym leader, 3rd gym
L. 20 Gothita
L. 20 Solosis
L. 25 Hatenna
Since Hota's gym is the third gym, it shouldn't be too hard. One dark-type kinda sweeps this whole team: you could sweep with a larvitar, lol.
C'mon, Hota literally is psychic.
Iziser: Fairy-type gym leader, 4th gym
L. 25 Togetic
L. 25 Azumarill
L. 30 Dachsbun
Not a super hard gym, either. Any steel-type sweps here.
Fairy type seems the most appropriate. After all, it is the new king of Pokemon types, lol. That being said, I like the idea that Izi would hate that he loves these Pokemon so much, lol. He would be good friends with all of them.

I'm almost done with Part One (I think!) I should finish it tomorrow. There are about 10,000 words so far, and I need to write the final coronation scene with plot twist #1!! Izi is the Hero of Cognition!
Also, as soon as I finish that, I'll give it to some of my friends for "alpha" reading, since I'm ready for a first draft of something to get torn to shreds to help keep me motivated.
In the eventual future, I hope to flesh out Zispoel and Ytos as languages enough so that I can create "meme" translations of the novel itself into Zispoel and Ytos. A sort-of "meta-translation," if you will.
I finished Part 3 today! Like all the others, I'm sure it's a hot mess that doesn't quite fit together, but it's a first draft and that makes me proud of it.
I've reached about ~57k words, and that's actually the most I've ever written on a single thing, which I'm also proud of.
Today was literally just filler scenes. Mind-bendingly drivelous filler scenes. Well, they weren't just incoherent babbling from me, Somehow, I have to plan out Part Four tomorrow, but I have a big drive tomorrow, too, so I may take a day away from writing. I dunno, yet. Stay tuned.

If you would like to be added to one of my taglists, please see this post or DM me!
A tag game from @authorcoledipalo (that I totally didn’t forget about, sorry!)
The rules: Post nine lines of dialogue, and then tag nine people. (I will tag less because 9 is too many.)
1. “You two [Izi and Hota] are cute,” Tagif chuckled, sitting on the extra bed, undoing her gauntlets.
2. “Hang on, let me get my foreign relations advisor on the phone with you.” I waved for Tagif who leaned in while I held the phone out.
3. “That was the last [syringe]. I shattered the other two.”
4. “You already took away our only chances at saving our world. Why come back to rub it in our faces?”
5. “Goddammit!” She stomped her foot, throwing her fists down. “Do you think I wanted to do that? I’m here to get her back, too.”
6. “No. Mistake is too light a word. Try murder?”
7. “It doesn’t kill magic, it just makes it unusable. Happy?”
8. “She already brainwashed everyone,” I hissed, “what more does she want.”
9. “All I want to do now is help you. All I want to do is retake Ir Nouzonif and stick it in President Sluwfa’s face.”

the man who owns and runs the thai restaurant in my town knows me by name. he is one of the kindest and most thoughtful men i know. i started ordering from his place back in january, which was when i got my fibromyalgia diagnosis. back then i was using a walker, had limited mobility in my entire body but especially my hands, and was very visibly in pain. i always ordered the same thing: yellow curry with no meat, potatoes and carrots only (i have texture and other dietary issues). he always made it a point to make sure i could get out the door and carry the food safely. he had his workers package the food so that it was easier for me to open. as i kept coming back and i told him a little bit about my health status, he would always encourage me to keep going. he told me about how the spices he used were good for inflammation and began to edit the recipe just for me so that spices that were even better for fighting inflammation were used. he’d give me extra portions and despite the fact that i would tip every time, i realized later that he never charged my card for them. as time went on and my condition began to get better, especially with the help of a physical therapist, he would make encouraging remarks and tell me how happy he was for me. the day i came in without my walker, he practically jumped for joy, and despite my insistence, he gave me my meal for free that day. i continue to make progress with my conditions and i continue to go to the thai place. this man who does not know me personally and who i hardly know anything about is one of my favorite people. it’s interactions with humans like these that make loving life easier. and his curry really does help my chronic condition. it’s comfort food taken to the next level.
Love my grandparents.... on the phone just now my papa was dead serious like “i just think it’s so terrible to kick your child out for being gay . This is a union family and the ONLY thing i’d ever kick any of you out for is crossing a picket line.” okay working class hero!
