Waiting for season 8 be like:
I still don't understand why people say I'm obsessed with Rick and Morty. Just because I rewatched it over 10 times, am planning on reviewing every single episode, have a blog with over 1000 posts mainly about it, wrote over 40 fanfics about the main characters, and overanalyze everything about it does NOT mean I'm obsessed. HAHAH DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT! YOU'RE OBESSESSED! NO I'M NOT PROJECTING LEAVE ME ALONE!
wifey🩷
barbie wire is sooo underrated, give my wife some love pls
The thing I hate a lot in this fandom is probably, when people, discussing other ships, think about sexual tension, longing, yearning, any kind of this... yet hankcon seems to them more like some old couple that stays at home all the time and rots and does nothing as something boring without a spark and fire in it.
The ship that IS a literal fire, softness, passion, care, longing, yearning and many other things throughout the whole damn game.
everyone eating some corn flakes and there's Rick eating a rainbow tooth rotting sugar filled alien cereal
and look at Morty, he's so adorable his little face I can't, they are both so cute Rick is always looks so cute eating
😭😭😭 he has his own blue bowl and all
look at him, grown ass man btw, sulking like a seven year old
it might be crazy what i'm about to say but if he looked at me that way, sitting in this exact position, i would came on sight.
hankcon shippers are in the trenches every god damn day😑
I can't how the cutest pairing pisses such people off just by the fact of its existence. This person apparently didn't get the reaction they wanted.
I can't stop laughing. Firstly, I see a pattern too. Secondly, the most ridiculous thing about this fandom is quoting David Cage's words. Not to mention, that everything they wrote makes no sense.
If this is a rage bait, it is even more ridiculous.
Rick pushing people away to protect them is genuinely heartbreaking. Anyone he loves either ends up dying, leaving him, or get put in danger because of him.
I believe he sees himself as a virus. Infecting anyone who gets too close. He hates that he cares about anyone. He wants to be like Rick Prime, he wants to not care about anyone to be by himself doing whatever he wants not being stopped by stupid things like "morality" and "emotions" apart of why he hates Rick Prime is because he's everything Rick wants to be, but can never bw. That also attributes to his self loathing, if you want to be like your worst enemy, the persin that killed your wife and ruined your life, what does that make you? Why does he wants to like someone he hates? That makes his a horrible person doesn't it?
Then in season 2 episode 10 "The Wedding Squanchers" he finally decides to openly show his love and support for Birdperson's marriage, showing that hes nothing like Rick Prime. Then What does he get as a reward for being vulnerable? For showing just how different he was for not being Rick Prime? Tammy shooting Birdperson right in front of him. He loved Unity and what happens? Unity left him, pushing Rick so far that he attemped. He loved Daphane and what happens then? Daphne leaving him when she had no use for him anymore. He loves Morty and what happens to Morty on a daily basis? He's constantly put in danger because of Rick. He loved Diane and what does he get? Seeing Diane blow up in front of him.
Thats why he's awful to Morty. He thinks that he needs to push Morty away to keep him safe. So he constantly insults Morty, hoping that he would eventually start believing what he's saying, hoping that he won't love Morty, hoping that Morty will distance himself so he won't get too close and end up getting hurt, but Morty stays and Rick is stuck. He wants to keep Morty safe, so he pushes him away but he also needs Morty and wants him to stay. But in his mind, people around him get hurt. That's why Healthy Rick was nice to Morty despite not caring about him. And why Toxic Rick treated Morty horribly despite caring about him. He's mean to him because he loves him, because he's terrified of losing him. Being harsh towards someone you love is a paradox, Ricks relationship with Morty is a paradox. He wants Morty to leave but needs Morty to stay.
Thats why he considers him caring about Morty irrational. It's inherently a paradox. He wants Morty to go and stay at the same time. He wants Morty to go to keep him safe. But he also loves Morty and just wants him to stay by him. It doesn't make sense for him to want two completely opposite things. To give such mixed messages. There were so many times where Morty wants to leave but Rick convinced him to stay. He wants Morty to leave so Morty will stay safe. But he genuinely could not imagine (nor does he want to) being without Morty. Morty is such an inherent part of him now. Morty leaving would take a part of Rick with him.
He hates caring about Morty. He doesn't want to. He wants Morty to leave. But he doesn't. He wants to hate Morty. But he doesn’t. He wants to be like Rick Prime, not caring about anything at all. But he's not. Because he cares about people, and he hates himself for it.
