Little Witchy Things For Closeted Witches

Little Witchy Things For Closeted Witches

-Stir clockwise (no one would notice that) -Drink herbal teas (it’s totally normal) -Clean with special solutions (scented cleaner wouldn’t make anyone suspicious) -Draw sigils that disappear quickly (out of sight, out if mind) -Keep plants around (plants are nice decoration for houses) -Cook with herbs (nobody would question it, and they’ll love your food) -Wear crystal pendants (if it matches your outfit, it’ll pass as mundane) -Buy magickal yet normal things (wind chimes and dreamcatchers aren’t weird) -Drink special smoothies in the morning (once it’s a daily routine, people won’t care) -Take walks in nature (it’s normal and calming) -Draw sigils under clothing (no one would know unless they have x-ray vision) -Keep a stash of candles “for emergencies” (better safe than sorry) -Go out with friends once a week (when I say friends, I really mean your coven, and if you aren’t in a coven, pretend you’re with friends and do witchy stuff on your own) -Add a subtle magickal twist to family holidays (specific color themes, taking the opportunity to use all the extra energy floating around, decorate with enchanted objects, etc)

This list is getting pretty bad so I’m going to stop now… feel free to add on!

Elemental Circle Casting

Magical Spells & Exercises Masterpost

Instead of imagining a generic glowing line, this circle conjures the powers of the elements to assist in casting the circle.

Correctly banishing this circle is very important.

As with a very simple circle, you will use your finger or a tool to ‘draw’ the line, but at each cardinal point you will summon elemental powers.

Begin by facing east. Say,

“I conjure you, benevolent powers of fire. Stand to the east and watch over my circle. Empower it and protect it.”

As you say this, imagine a fiery red pentagram appears in the air before you.

Continue drawing the circle and turn to the south. Say,

“I conjure you, benevolent powers of earth. Sand to the south and watch over my circle. Empower it and protect it.”

Imagine an earthy green pentagram floating before you.

Continue drawing the circle, turn to the west, and say,

“I conjure you, benevolent powers of water. Stand to the west and watch over my circle. Empower it and protect it.” Imagine a watery blue pentagram hovering before you.

Continue the circle and turn towards the north. Say,

“I conjure you, benevolent powers of air. Stand to the north and watch over my circle. Empower it and protect it.” Imagine a pentagram the color of desert air hovering to the north.

Finish your circle by drawing the line back to the beginning eastern point. As soon as the circle connects with itself, it “clicks” and glows with great power.

When you are ready to banish the circle, begin in the north. Say,

“I banish you, powers of air. You came as a helper, now leave in peace.”

Repeat this for all the elements, going counter-clockwise.

When all the elements are banished, turn counter-clockwise once more and erase the circle with a simple banishing.

Why?

When pure elemental powers are called, they put all its derivative spirits in their place. It is like inviting the boss in to the office. If any little fiery spirits are acting up and planning on ruining your spell, when the elemental intelligence of fire arrives they will be set straight and become unable to harm your work. This means that the circle conjures benevolent powers in order to banish unwanted powers.

Smudging is the burning of certain herbs to create a cleansing smoke bath, which is used to purify people, spaces, and tools and objects. There are different ceremonies and rituals that can be done whilst smudging. Some people say a prayer, others chant, and others simply focus on the negative energy they want to sent away with the smoke.

There Are Pencils That Turn Into Plants When You’re Done Using Them.

There are pencils that turn into plants when you’re done using them.

image

The ‘Sprout Pencil’ is the first sustainable pencil in the world that can be planted after use.

image

“We have chosen the seeds for our pencils with great care, and they germinate quickly: i.e. within 1-3 weeks, depending on the seed variety. Most plants can be grown both indoors and outdoors.”

image

It’s made of natural materials: the body is cedar wood, and the “lead” is a mixture of clay and graphite.

image

Sprout pencils are available in 22 varieties, including sunflower, mint, lavender, sage, forget-me-not, cherry tomato, sweet pea, cilantro, and wild strawberry.

image

What to do

“When the Sprout Pencil has become too short to write with, it is ready to be planted. Follow the simple instructions below and see your Sprout pencil sprout.”

image

They are also available in the colored pencil variety, which makes me oh-so-happy!
