ANALYSIS: Hiccstrid's first time 🔞

A few days ago, I said in the @agent-carterstark post my opinion about Hiccstrid’s first time and ask if you wanted to know my full opinion. I didn’t expect that many answers so here I am!

We all know how things went with Hiccup and Astrid until they reach the 6 moons period of betrothal, in this period neither of them has any thought about taking the next step in their sexual life because, please, they’ve just beginning to know what is having a couple.

Past the betrothed barrier, the only moment they found that alone that they can just think in each other is in S5 E07 “Dawn of Destruction” when they go to search for the plant to make Hiccup’s oil. Being just the two together one night without no one bothering them, and knowing they are engaged unleashes the passion they have inside.

But they have a problem, they realize that they don’t have any way to avoid pregnancy, so they can’t do the full act, just explore each other’s body in all ways possible.

After this wonderful night, they decide to investigate how is the recipe for moon tea. Thinking of it they found that there are just two possibilities: Ask Gothi (no, no one can know it) and read it in Fishlegs’ botanic’s book (right answer). They just have to get to read the book without Fishlegs presence.

But this is something they let stay because, or they are on a mission or there are people in the Edge, so they can reach the book carefully without anyone knowing.

S5 E08 “The Wings of War Part 1”: They are on Defenders of the Wing Island

S5 E09 “The Wings of War Part 2”: Hiccup is on Storehouse Island and Astrid is on the Edge fighting against flyers.

S5 E10 “No Dragon Left Behind”: They are on Slitherwing’s Island.

S5 E11 “Snuffnut”: They are all on the Edge

S5 E12 “Searching for Oswald… And Chicken”: Hiccup is on Vanaheim but Astrid is on the Edge with the rest of the gang.

S5 E13 “Sins of the Past”: Hiccup is with Dagur and Fishlegs, but Astrid is on the Edge with the twins, so she can’t get the book (we all know twins can’t be alone without vigilance).

The moment comes in S6 E04 “Loyal Order of Ingerman” when Fishleg escapes and Astrid follows him and the next day Gobber brings to the edge a patrol of kids that the twins are gonna teach, then Snotlout goes with them too. Hiccup realized that is the only opportunity he has to get the recipe, so he does it: go to Fishlegs’ hut, copy the recipe and get the herbs while he and Astrid are out and Snotlout and the twins are with Fishlegs’ nephews and niece. That night, Hiccup shows Astrid the tea, she starts to drink it every day and they decide to wait a few weeks.

While they are waiting, Dagur and Mala reach the edge in S6 E06 “My Amore Wing”. We all know what happens after their argument, they get reconciled and the episode ends with them admiring the sunset.

My mind goes to the next conclusion: that night, at dinner, they show each other so much more in love than ever and are the first to go to “sleep”. Dagur and Mala, who were dining with them, look at each other and say to the gang don’t bother them that night.

Hiccup and Astrid go to his hut together. They talk about all of the day events, apologies to each other again and confess each other’s relationship fears or likes, one thing leads the other and they realize Astrid has been drinking the moon tea enough time to be effective, so they end having their first time.

Since that moment, everyone can see a huge change in their relationship in the way they act with each other, especially in front of people. That’s the huge proof of their acts.

They seem more in love, more worried about the other than about themselves. You can see touch each other so much more. This is due to the confidence they gain taking the next step in their relationship.

Of course, they change a lot when they’re alone and it can be compared in a few moments:

Watching the sunset (I know this is before doing it but you get the point)

They are less shy and more amorous on their dates

They kiss with their bodies closer to each other

So here it is my own headcanon!!! I hope you like it and you are free to tell me if you agree or disagree with me, if you wanna add something or whatever you want. While I was writing it I thought that it could be a great one-shot, but it’s something that I’m not gonna do it now because I haven’t write any fanfic before and I don’t have time at that moment, but who knows? Maybe one day. Whatever, I just hope you enjoy it and forgive me if there’s any writing mistake 😊
