"More" (Detail)
The Bacchanal by August Heinrich Riedel (German 1799–1883)
I like to read in a bed, And on a beach. I like to read On a lumpy sofa, And in a bus, Whilst eating a peach!
I like to read on a fence, And in a cave. I like to read In a sail boat, And in the Sears Tower! See the lake's wave, wave, wave!
Do you have a favourite spot, or maybe two?
Now, I know we are all bibliophiles, and that we will read absolutely anywhere, but if you are anything like me, then you certainly have favourite places to curl up with a book.
Mine are very similar - my bed, and the bed in my library. It’s technically a spare bedroom, but it has all of my books lining it’s walls, so we call it The Library.
So, let me know yours! I’ll create a masterpost in a week or so…
Puckish, pranking, playful, proud... The flute is the most youthful of musical instruments.
Go out today and be like a child. Children are experts in authenticity. Stomp your feet in a puddle after it rains and make a mud pie. Sing. Climb a tree. Share your lunchbox with another. Make friends. In other words, play play play! That is the secret to a long life.
Tell someone you love them. Don't wait! Go! Do it now! Today! You are love, and love shares its lunch.
Peace to you all.
