“Set my *ss on Fire!” Productivity and Anti-Procrastination Spell (with Ginger)
Three orange candles
Yellow string
Fresh Ginger
I’m the worst procrastinator under the sun, so a productivity spell for me has to be powerful - hence the ginger :) lemon oil just won’t do the trick…
1) Use orange candles for energy and determination. String them together with a yellow string, envisioning your success and concentration. Additionally I like to write what I want on a piece of paper and tie it to the candles.
2) Make three knots, saying the words: My Wish, My Power, My Future.
3) Cut open your fresh ginger and run it over the top of the candles, thus rubbing in its essence. I say “Set my ass on fire!” to every candle (have I mentioned that I need my ass kicked… if you’re only a mild procrastinator, you might find a nicer phrase…).
4) Light the candles. Let the candles burn while you do your work.
5) Cut a few pieces off the ginger and pour boiling water over it to make ginger tea (if you don’t have any allergies). It’s refreshing and energizing. You can stir in honey, which represents industry and success, if you want to sweeten the tea (of course, stir clockwise).
6) Get off your ass and do it! :)
(esp if you're still in the broom closet) ❤️🦊

~*~ “Letting Go” Jar
Something to put your guilts, fears and hiccups into. Draws away their power, cleanses them, and protects you. Very soothing.
- empty jar - epsom salt - turquoise stones (could use black stones too) - lavender oil - problems written on scraps of paper – put the lid on tightly and shake –
Most spells like this say to bury the jar or hide it in your closet - but that’s the opposite of what you want to do with your problems. It’s sealed, put it on your shelf if you want and add to it/shake it whenever. Looking at it should remind you you’re so much bigger than those problems; you’ve let go of them.
workplace witchcraft - memory and awareness
lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m losing my mind at work, like forgetting tasks that my manager asked me to do, etc, and it’s been pretty overwhelming and draining on my self confidence (it’s even followed me into anxiety dreams where all I do is forget simple things at work!)
I decided to make a little spell jar to give my memory and awareness an extra boost!
rosemary - for mental clarity and performance
dandelion seeds - for effortlessness and lightness of heart
ginger powder - for healing and alertness
red pepper flakes - for intensity and energy
bit of chili powder - for an extra kick in my ass!
sealed with red wax, for strength, power, and confidence :)
If some of these look familiar, it’s because they’re shaped as common symbols on gravestones. Here they are explained:
Love eternity, sweet child - for departed children. Shaped as a butterfly, sometimes depicted on children’s graves.
My departed family is still with me - for ancestor work. Shaped like clasped hands, common on graves of family members and married couples.
My love is beside me - for departed loved ones and partners. Shaped like a hear for obvious reasons, but also with a circle, symbolizing eternity and reincarnation.
We value your sacrifice - for veterans and others who put their lives on the line for us. Shaped like oak leaves; oak trees are common in military cemeteries, as they symbolize steadfastness and bravery.
Nature spirits be honored - for the death of nature or nature spirits. Shaped like a dragonfly, to illustrate the departed soul.
You are still my loved child - for departed babies and miscarriages. Shaped as a lily, which represents innocence, purity, and a life cut short.
Forever my friend - for departed friends, shaped as an eagle to carry the message and keep the friendship strong.
May your soul forever be at peace - a general sigil for the dead, in the shape of a poppy, for restful sleep.
This was a very emotional project for me. Please use with respect. Do not delete caption.
