The Batman (2004) Was Way Better Than Batman: The Animated Series. It Was Missing Some Villians, Sure.

The Batman (2004) was way better than Batman: The Animated Series. It was missing some villians, sure. But on the whole, it made up for it by having some absolutely great antagonists. I mostly just watched seasons 1-2, but that was enough for me. Tom Kenny as Penguin, Kevin Michael Richardson as Joker, Robert Englund as The Riddler, Clancy Brown as Mister Freeze, Dan Castellaneta as The Ventriloquist, the voice cast was honestly pretty good. I remember most of the villians, because they were creative and weird. The show was a little dark, but it was weird dark, not boring dark. There is a slight difference between those two things, after all.

And sure, the show could have benefited from Two-Face, The Mad Hatter, maybe even some Scarecrow moments. But we had Clayface as a substitute for Two-Face. And that substitution actually worked pretty well. Ethan Bennett, the good cop corrupted by Joker and turned into Clayface...it actually works pretty well. And I mean... it's no Richard Moll Two-Face, but it's still probably the most impactful Clayface for me. It's the Clayface I probably saw first as a kid.

And while the show missed some of the Btas villians, they managed to add some fun villains of their own. Ragdoll is a real standout. I saw him in just one episode, but Jeff Bennett did such a good job! I was transfixed. So the show had some real highlights. I still think The Brave and The Bold tops everything else, but The Batman (2004) was probably my second favourite. Beyond a small handful of episodes, I seem to strongly dislike Batman the animated series. So these other two really stick out in my memory.

a digital art piece of the lead cenobite (pinhead) from hellraiser. The piece is a headshot of the priest from a still from hellaiser 4: Bloodline.

The piece is high contrast, making the priest skin look blue while the shading on one of the eyes (the left viewing) seems red. He gives a solemn look.

The rendering is like that of a painting, but when you actually look at the piece it seems that the brush strokes are sporadic and uncontrolled. They are very random and splotchy. When you look at it closely, the piece almost undulates, but looking at it from a farther away perspective shows the image of the priest.

this technique and style is common in my works, mainly because im not bothered to smooth out my stokes and i like seeing them. It gives a painted feeling to the piece despite it being a digital piece. I am also lazy. The colours are a blue-ish purple with contrasts of dark blue and red.

its been a while since i did hellraiser stuff. hello.

This happens a lot in the fast food industry… like why and I having a screaming match with a 45 year old man… all I asked was for clarification on his order….

I get called up to handle the assholes that come through because yelling at men is my favorite pastime

at work someone was yelling at me over the phone over literally nothing so my coworker said put them on speaker and yelled back at them for me and in that moment ive never felt more admiration for a woman

I head cannon those are the ones who named the 3 younger boys… I know a grandma would name a baby Bubba. You can’t convince me otherwise

The way I imagine it, Nubbins was Grandpa’s favourite, Chop Top is Drayton’s favourite, Bubba was Grandma’s favourite.
