THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA 2004, dir. Joel Schumacher
Say sorry :(
I personally call him handsome
platonic third base: when you get to know someone well enough that they start making mortifyingly specific observations about you
thomas probably knew he was adopted growing up. i feel like it would be pretty hard to hide, and i don't think the hewitts would even really want to hide it? i feel like they'd come at it with the mindset of "it doesn't matter, yeah you're adopted but you're one of us, don't feel bad about it". and that would help thomas to an extent.
but i can't help but think about how that would add on to his loneliness. he'd have no idea if there were other people out in the world who looked like him, who thought like him. he'd never really know why he wasn't with his biological familyβdid they just not want him? did they take one look at his face and choose to abandon him? did they die? was he wanted?
thomas would have no way to get any real answers. i imagine luda mae doesn't know much about the circumstances surrounding his birth, other than the fact that he was thrown away behind the meat processing plant. thomas loves luda mae very muchβshe's his mother, after allβbut i feel like sometimes, he'd think about what his biological mom was like. where she is, why she had him. whether or not he was made out of love. he'd wonder if his mother ever thought about him, if she missed him. did they have the same eyes? or the same hair? the same skin condition? thomas would have no real way of knowing.
