oh maannn, you were in NOBROW???? *follows* I have such love for that magazine. Someday all the issues will be mine. ALL OF THEM! :D
I was! And yes. They are awesome. Good goal!
Hi! I was looking through your blogspot and I saw your post on your brother getting you Tintin matches from China? I was wondering where he got them because I'm a huge Tintin fan and I live in China and I want to have them too lol. sorry if this was a little creepy
Hi! Yes. these guys:
I had to ask him and then wait around 13 hrs because he's in Taiwan now! Here's what he said:
"It's somewhere in/near Beihai (3rd tone) park in Beijing but I don't remember exactly where. It's down one of the many backstreets and if you see a store that looks like the only product it sells are old coke bottles (seriously, it just had bunch of pictures of old coke bottles in the windows), then you are close."
I don't know what "3rd tone" refers to, but maybe you do! Good luck!
Yesterday Jimmy Giegerich and I decided to make "video game fan art day" happen, and these are some of the quick little drawings that resulted on my part. Here are Frog from Chrono Trigger (always in my team) including a little one of him croaking, Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and of course: Solid Snake. Check out Jimmy's great Ganondorf and also Sam Bosma's rad Chrono!

I opened a store on Society 6! In addition to art prints, you'll also find a few iphone cases and a t-shirt featuring my moths. Go on and check it out! Is there anything I've done that you'd really like to see for sale? Feel free to let me know!
Thanks guys.

"So what is the news besides the blues?"
It's cold in my house. But I'm enjoying a new scarf. But I ate a dissatisfying brownie. Trade-offs.
Nobrow 6, The Double is available for preorder! The big reveal feels pretty good.
My piece entails an unwelcome invasion into a private bucolic garden. I was psyched to be included in this dauntingly great lineup of artistic talent. The book features work by Luke Pearson, Chuck Groenink, John Martz, Tom Gauld, Niv Bavarsky, Nick Iluzada and tons more, and has a good chunk of comics in this issue as well. Thanks very much to Alex Spiro for extending an invitation my way.
Get your hands on it!
here are a couple details if you'd like to take a look:
It's official! I've flip flopped a lot, but Tumblr is now the new home for my illustration blog. Just the fact that I feel more inclined to update this baby tells me that this is probably the way to go. It's good timing because I've been feeling really excited about working lately, getting new things started, keeping a proper sketchbook, and being overall less precious about my art. Not everything needs to be perfect, but it's worth it to just put things down, and draw and draw and draw. And after all perfection is subjective. That's going to be my outlook for this year, and I'm hoping that fun new work will result, so keep checking back!

I cannot adequately express how wonderful these gems are. Jimmy's brain is just a gem mine! HAM-MURDER!?? I'm going to retire.
Soooo I think I just drew my next year’s worth of tattoos that I’m getting.
