Second Lacka-oc finished!
(Transcription for any who find the image too blurry):
Born: November 27th, 1903
Salem, Massachusetts
Maeve Midwinter, the proprietor (and solitary worker) of a cosy little bookstore in downtown St. Louis. The epitome of a pristine and upstanding citizen, she carries herself with utmost pride. Serving her community like the very legal citizen she is.
Well... Aside from her random bursts of uncontrollable rage. But she will assure you it was just the amount of caffeine she had in her coffee that morning, "It's nothing, I assure you!". But besides that, Maeve has devoted her life to her books, the few things in life she finds worth her time. That, and the fact that she chooses to associate with what her mother would call the scum of the earth, supplying speakeasies with a portion of illegally made wine. Though perhaps being a supplier certainly has its... Perks. For example, getting to know the charming Australian bootlegger working for the infamous Marigold gang. Who she seems to have taken quite the liking to.
Among the pleasantness of her small bookshop on the corner, this gentlewoman enjoys listening to the ambience of her many records on her gramaphone. Coupled with the oh so calming turn of a book page when nobody is around. Loving all fashion with ruffles and jewels to them, she collects anything even remotely shiny she can get her little mitts on. As well as being an avid lover of dark humour, and strawberry flavoured macarons.
Very happy to have Maeve's character card done, I find her to be the more ostentatious of the three given her... wealthier upbringing.
As always, have a dazzling rest of your day/night! š
First actual art post- woo!
Messy traditional art as I try to finalize Aislingās design-
[[Mobile camera quality sucks :ā) ]]
Jack: I aināt drinkinā nothinā called āBloody Maryā
Aisling: Yeah. You first, Marius
Marius: What? Zat monstrosity?! No-
MƔire: A knight on a white horse, quite romantic. A creative spirit, riding to you, or you to him.
Maria/Malwina: Oh! The knight of cups! How romantic ā”
Aisling: *Was thinking of the crazy, eccentric violinist*
Only the calico with short hair is my OC, who for now is names Aisling Mayfield, the others belong to an amazing interactive Lackadaisy fanfic called Under the Devilās Moon created by @libras-interactives and the UTDM OCs designs I used the designs from @acesandocs
Literally in love with @lespepsippr's fanfic its my fav ever
i had to draw my sillies together.. i needed to..
The gang indulges in some unrestrained summer fun!
This has been a wip for gosh knows how long, but I managed to get it done. It started with just Maire but then everyone got to join in.
The gang mostly belongs to @libras-interactives Lottie belongs to @maryannsstrawberry i belive. So sorry for misattributing her to Libra. Who has custody of Little Lottie I'm still unsure of tho.
Individual pngs below (theyre suposed to be transparent, but i guess tumblr can just decide not to do that sometimes. free website and all that), as well as art thoughts.
Weāll go from left to right
Jack: I feel like if Jack is going to the beach he need some protection from the sun. So along with a early 1920s style mens swimsuit, heās also got a sun hat and a housecoat. I based it of a womans house coat as they look very light and breathable which probably helps with the heat while keeping him safe from sun. House coats were also generally not uncomon to wear on the beach. I also just like messing around with gender presentation in my art. Iām sure Marius approves.
Marius: Marius is sporting a mens bathing suit from the late 1920s. As he is very fashion forward I felt it fit him to wear something a bit more up to date. His fur pattern does make it look like he was wearing shorts and a t shirt and got sunburned lol. I based his fur on Evelineās and the photos of the cat he was based on. Maybe a gradient would make it look a bit less silly idk. Feel free to weigh in if you have any ideas.
Eveline: I know Eveline prefers clothing from the late 1900-1910s more but I really loved how she looked with her hair up. I based her bathing suit on a 1920s version but added a few flairs to give it a bit more of a retro vibe for the time.
The Lotties: I gave Lottie a bathing suit with a belt and a cap. As per the laws of the Lackadaisy-verse her ears are tucked safely into her cap. No ear holes here. I wanted to give her a beach bag but I couldn't find any type of purse specifically for that so sheās got a shopping bag instead. I felt she needed somewhere to keep little Lottie's beach toys and sun screen, speaking of: She is wearing a very normal child's bathing suit. Not much to say on it. I focused more on her posing than her fashion.
MÔire: the original name for this drawing when I was just planning on drawing her was bathing beauties⦠Anyway, she strikes me as someone who uses her time at the beach to relax and look good while doing it. Her swimsuit is based on something I saw on Pinterest. It had flowers painted on it which strikes me more as being ornamental. Shes also a pair of fashionable heals and a parasol.
And last but not least Malwina: Malvinaās bathing suit is technically from 1926, so maybe she is just way ahead of the trends. Her shoes are laced beach shoes. I feel like shed take the opertunity to enjoy the fresh air, and swim in the cooling water. Maybe check out some cute boys. I think shed enjoy having a day where she can just be a normal teenager.
Mc is probably around. Maybe off buying soda pops for everyone.

Hey there!
YUP,
after the embarrassingly LONG time of two months and 19 days after the opening of this silly Tumblr blog and the introduction of Margoās cute character on the Lackafandom scene, I FINALLY finished her character sheet for all of you sweet folk to witness my delusional fantasies of blood-streaked glamour and romance!
Why did this take me so much time? Simple. As usual, I canāt use Ibis Paint X, and draw digitally with my smol fingers on my equally smol and silly phone.
As such an inept as I am, the background of Marjorieās illustration is in fact NOT product of my dubious artistic skills: I downloaded it from a free stock of āaesthetic garden background, wallpapers and illustrationā I found on Trailsandfreedom.com .
No, I swear I am not being paid to advertise them or anything, I merely feel the urge to leave credits with my pesky moral code nagging at my conscience.
Here is the original picture, on which I then dared to add some filters to get the dull coloring I wanted.
Also, here is the original pencil sketch of Margoās, this time proudly produced by myself only:
Sheās supposed to be sporting some fancy Victorian-gothic style dress, hat and parasol to recall of Mordecaiās own elegant fashion sense. I didnāt add any gloves because at the beginning I wanted her to, like, sting herself with the rose to draw blood and symbolise the assassination business and all that jazz.
And, nada, thatās the end of my interminable poem of thought process! I hope this gave some proper insight on Margoās otherwise mysterious character, and it it managed to entice your curiosity about her, feel free to nag me in my asks!

Happy Pride month everyone š¤š¤š
This month may have been a bit rocky here and there, but I am happy to have such amazing friends near. I wanted to draw a pride month piece earlier in the month but well, here we are!
