I mean hundreds of people might have said it already but Tis' the damn season from Evermore hits so hard when you realise so many women can't grow to their full potential in their hometowns but a big city can be so brutual that it breaks your heart and soul. But you still carry on because you are ambitious and want to do something for yourself. When you come back home you miss the things that you left behind, you try to find happiness in things like past relationships and your childhood bed because they are comparatively better than sleeping hungry and broke. But the reality is you have grown up too much and now you don't have a place that FEELS like home anymore.

My "road not taken" was emotionally abusive but living and being alone in a city like Mumbai broke me so much it looked "real good" for a while. I have always wanted to live in New York but living in Mumbai made me aware of how nightmarish life can be when you have no money. But i still want to do it, live in a New York or in a Mumbai. Because I will never grow in my hometown as much as I want to.

As a woman you will always struggle. And it's unfair that you HAVE to struggle in the first place. But your choice has consequences. The problem is systemic.

After re-watching every X-Men film as an adult I have realised that my fav superhero films are those where the superhero and the supervillain frenemy have so much chemistry that the studios have to convince us that they are straight by randomly making them kiss gals they don't have much chemistry with (à la Sharon Carter and Moira McTaggert) like sure we believe you not like every time Magneto reformed he had flashbacks of Charles telling him he's worthy or Steve let Bucky beat him to death cuz they were bros.
