In Another Universe Hiccup Really Is The Best Bread Making Viking Berk Has Ever Seen.

Do you think the reason Hiccup is so good at listening and understanding others is because he never got that growing up.

Like Stoick and Valka put their expectations and views on him and never really listened to who he was both as a kid and an adult.

Maybe that’s why he has such an easy acceptance of the twins chaos, of Snotlout need to be important, Fishlegs anxiety, and Astrid’s anger issues and he works through it with them.

Because no one did that for him.

Idea: rather than project all his childhood insecurities on his children, Hiccup holds Zephyr (or Tiny 👀) for the first time and he cries for himself as well because he holds this newborn, his first, and he can't ever imagine casting this child out like he was once casted out for so long that acceptance from the enemy was enough for him.

I love dadcup and Zephyr they are my pookies, my sweetie pies.

I woke up in the middle of the night with hiccups

I have no idea how something like that happens but I’m blaming it on Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third!

Like I don’t think about him enough when I’m awake, now he’s waking me up in the middle of the night forcing me to think about him?

Hiccup is the type of person to never assume someone likes him back unless they tell him to his face… maybe multiple times, just to be safe.

Snotlout is the type of person to be so intensely delusional he confuses pure hatred for fondness.

This screws both of them over horribly.

ik im like 10 years late but i finally watched httyd and i haven’t drawn for myself in forever but this little kid got it out of me. can’t wait to watch the second one

I like to think that Hiccup would be more of an affectionate father because he somewhat wished that Stoick was. Hence the birth of this sketch. I also love the more domestic side of Hiccup and Astrid, and can’t resist drawing cute family moments lol.

Zephyr hates her father’s affection.

I’ve been reading the fic Defiance for a while and Adora’s new look in it gave me inspiration to draw. I LOVE winged people. So much. 400k words in and I don’t remember if they mention lighting scars but I gave it to her anyway.

Also they didn’t mention what type of bird wings she has so I gave Adora Elliptical wings! They are used for short fast bursts of flight and are good for quick maneuvers :)
