Do you think they ever pieced together what happened or were they always like “wow that was a weird shared dream we both had” ?
It would honestly be an honor for it to be showcased in the next chapter! I’ve been loving Defiance and I’ve been reading it for around half a year haha.
The wings she has are very much used for song birds. Speaking out basically. And with what the wings are used for, I thought it fit for her story in the fic :)
I’ve been reading the fic Defiance for a while and Adora’s new look in it gave me inspiration to draw. I LOVE winged people. So much. 400k words in and I don’t remember if they mention lighting scars but I gave it to her anyway.
Also they didn’t mention what type of bird wings she has so I gave Adora Elliptical wings! They are used for short fast bursts of flight and are good for quick maneuvers :)
*gently drapes a blanket over them* my shaylas...
Writing the famous “I’m not left handed” fight scene from the Princess Bride for my fanfiction except replace Hiccups normal sword for a flaming one and Tuffnut’s normal sword for Macey and you’ve got a httyd canon Princess Bride fight.
I’m literally writing this scene as a sword fight except it’s with the two least fence-able weapons ever.
Inferno vs. Macey. A duel to be witnessed
This is really random but I think asking the question whether a character deserves redemption is a dumb way to have a deep conversation.
There has been so much debate on certain characters redemption but the main thing is whether they deserve redemption or not. But the thing about that question is that there is no answer that isn’t in some way personal. It changes on every person and will likely just lead to agreements rather than discussions.
Here’s some of my favorite questions to ask about a characters redemption that I think have sorted my feelings out about it.
1. What were the writers trying to accomplish with the character?
2. What message did this character bring? This is important especially in kids shows.
3. Was the redemption well done?
4. What were the characters reaction to the redemption?
5. Did the other characters forgive the character?
6. How did they do the redemption and why?
7. Why was this character redeemed?
8. Did they make up for their actions in any way?
All of these are more on the objective standpoint rather than one that changes person to person.
Now you can still ask if a character deserves redemption or not but it’s important to understand that we ourselves are not moral judges and the line between redeemable and irredeemable is nothing but based on our own perception.
I just think there needs to be a balance.
Any other fic authors ever have those couple of sections that are holding up the rest of your fic? Right now there's literally just four chapters holding up the rest of 'maybe it's the past that's talking,' I literally have every other chapter done but because of those four fucking chapters I can't post the rest 😭 it's lowkey killing me
once upon a time; the only tv show brave enough to ask "exactly how fucked up can we make a family tree without including any actual incest?"
Question- I’m about 1/3 through writing my httyd princess bride AU and have enough material for around 3 chapters.
If you were to read it, would you want it to upload with a 3 chapter buffer or as a bigger word one shot?
Key question; chapters or one shot uploaded likely in around 1-2 weeks?
Update, I’m going to use terrible terrors. It’ll become dragons of unusual size. Basically they will be very very tiny in this version and dragons are known for being…bigger.
I’m writing a princess bride hiccstrid AU and this is very important.
What should the ROUS (rodents of unusual size) be? There are already dragons so I need something quick!
Maybe some type of dragon or something I can’t think of right now.
I wish they interacted more :(
Idea: rather than project all his childhood insecurities on his children, Hiccup holds Zephyr (or Tiny 👀) for the first time and he cries for himself as well because he holds this newborn, his first, and he can't ever imagine casting this child out like he was once casted out for so long that acceptance from the enemy was enough for him.
They/themLikes consuming media, art, writing, analysis, and my Ocs.I eat children for breakfast :3
