Actual footage of my gameplay at some point
I drew this very specific ace artist meme with Mothman because I wanted to feel some happiness specific to me.
I think my favorite part in any video game I’ve ever played is that bit in Portal 2 that essentially goes:
GLaDOS: “Great, this is the part where he kills you.” Wheatley: “Hello! This is the part where I kill you!”
Chapter 9: The Part Where He Kills You
*Achievement Unlocked: The Part Where He Kills You”
Wheatley's character is so fucking funny. Like if you look at his character as a whole, all the comments about "they told me if I did this I'd die," his complete desperation for control and power even when it is blatantly obvious he does not have the ability to wield it, that is genuinely fascinating. Wheatley is a genuinely interesting, compelling character. but also his entire character is
being in medical college makes you understand Victor Frankenstein....... now I get why he dropped out to start up build-a-dude Then take a long ass nap...... modern day frankenstein saw the online classes and passed out and I don’t blame him at ALL
Doodling some ideas for upcoming armor for Chris to get a feel for how elements interact.
Leftmost is intended as diamond robes worn as vanity over dyed meteor armor; middle is similar but without dye, and right swaps out the robes for a larger worm scarf. Left feels most fitting for him, in terms of color and design -- his next weapon will be the diamond staff, so it matches well in that regard, and I played around with recreating that look in-game.
Still thinking about it though! It'll be a while in any case before it shows up in-comic, so I have time to play with it further.
Obsessed with @aspidateasteism‘s Jekyll.
Everyone please look at this snapping turtle, walking to the pond outside my house, still groggy from a 6-month nap.
I FINALLY got to play through Below Zero and the Precursors (Architects?) give me SUCH Animorphs vibes.
I mean the Andalites resemblance is obvious -- they’re telepathic deer centaurs with no mouths, and have a part of a tail and horns that resemble the tail and eye stalks of Andalites. They also have a really interesting connection to nature that reminds me of some of the Andalite culture we got to see, especially in The Andalite Chronicles where we got to see the Andalite homeworld.
And then there’s some resemblance to the Arn (the creators of the Hork-Bajir) in their mastery of genetic engineering -- just the comments from Al-An and scannables talking about how the Precursor’s original form was swapped out for something better over the millennia, a combination of DNA from all sorts of different creatures to make them as efficient and useful as possible.
AND OF COURSE how could I neglect to mention my very favorite most Animorphs species the Ketran? I wish we got to see more of them, I really do, they’re so cool. But anyways, even if the Network as Al-An describes it is way, way more involved than the Ketran Uninet (it gives me very vague Control Brain vibes from Invader Zim, lol), I immediately thought back to the Uninet -- especially like, in the cases where Ketran are memming each other and all. And the Ketran naming system where they have their assigned names, chosen names, and gamer tags -- I wonder how individuality works to Architects. Al-An can clearly distinguish himself from others and even went against the Network at one point, but also comments how interconnected Architects are, being able to sense each other, etc. etc., so I wonder if they have the concepts of names/pronouns since we kind of just assign both to Al-An on our own?
In short I have THOUGHTS and I am now going to reread the Ellimist Chronicles goodnight
