as pride month comes to an end, i wanted to share my old high school AP art concentration section. my theme was about stages in a gay person’s life, from being an observer in society to an unwilling, then active participant. my art skills then weren’t great compared to now, but i was fortunate enough to get a 5 overall. it’s nice to reflect on how strongly i felt about pride (as well as my own identity) even as a teenager. 🌈
