CPS fails children

They are part of why children go missing and get sold into trafficking

Exactly. Native children get taken away for missing a day of school and get put into abusive white cishet households to erase their culture. I mean it was literally CPS’s guidebook for continuing the genocide against us. They know exactly what they are doing.

In the past it got so bad that (US) federal law had to come in and had to put rules on who specifically native kids could be adopted to (The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA, 1978); 1. Other family members for obvious reasons, 2. Other natives in the federal recognized tribe that the kid is registered to, and 3. Other natives, not tribe specific then if all those options they go to white families. Canada didn’t even bother with that, in Canada they had brochures of available SPECIFICALLY native kids to adopt to white ppl.

*PREACH*

Housewives can be feminists, too. Feminism promotes women being able to choose how to live their lives, even if that means living within traditional gender roles. You don’t get to decide what fulfills other people.

#SayHerName: why Kimberlé Crenshaw is fighting for forgotten women
More than 70 black women have died at the hands of the police in the past three years. Professor and activist Crenshaw, who coined the term ‘intersectionality’ in the 1980s, is determined they will not be forgotten

When she speaks at public meetings, Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw has a trick. She asks everyone to stand up until they hear an unfamiliar name. She then reads the names of unarmed black men and boys whose deaths ignited the Black Lives Matter movement; names such as Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray, Trayvon Martin. Her audience are informed and interested in civil rights so “virtually no one will sit down”, Crenshaw says approvingly. “Then I say the names of Natasha McKenna, Tanisha Anderson, Michelle Cusseaux, Aura Rosser, Maya Hall. By the time I get to the third name, almost everyone has sat down. By the fifth, the only people standing are those working on our campaign.”

The campaign, #SayHerName, was created to raise awareness about the number of women and girls that are killed by law enforcement officers. For Crenshaw – who coined the term “intersectionality” in the 1980s to describe the way different forms of discrimination overlap and compound each other – it is a brutal illustration of how racism and sexism play out on black women’s bodies.

I saw people do this & adopted it myself, and it’s actually been super helpful—set a daily reminder to do your arab.org click of the day. It has been said ad nauseam at this point, but if each person in the thousands of people who engage on palestine posts clicked on this, we’d be raising thousands in revenue towards humanitarian aid. Don’t think your one little click is unnecessary. It adds up fast—but only if you actually do it.

A lot of people asked how they can help if they don’t have funds to spare. This is the most passive way to raise donations towards Palestinian aid.

Hope for the future

Hope For The Future

This is what anti-fascism looks like.

transcript of the screenshot:

A bright spot from a friend in Philly:

The Proud Boys - a white supremacist group with a stupid name - planned a rally a block from my house today. The "belly of the beast" rally. Because apparently that's where I live - the belly of the antifa beast. Whatever the fuck that means.

2 hours before it was supposed to start, the park starts filling up with my neighbors. A drum line shows up. A brass band plays. The anarchists are giving away vegetables and nachos and some artists are selling jewelry. Black leaders give speeches. We chant Breonna Taylor's name. And all the other names.

No right-wing rally every coalesces. There was never room for a critical mass to congregate. A lost-looking man or two walks to the park, doesn't see their people, turns around. A right-wing vlogger trying to debate people is surrounded and walked to the edge of the park. Someone spotted with a handgun is chased through the park, to their car, by over 100 people. The ice cream truck music plays the whole time.

The usual guys sets their chess tables and start playing, the crowd of neighbors start to break up.

Nazis, we will replace you. We will displace you. We will louder and more numerous. We anti-fascists are full of music and love and nachos. We will always replace you.
