Had a dream today where you were my teacher, you taught isat and we had an exam this wednesday that apparently was going to be incredibly hard

I literally had to take a second to think about It after waking up because it was so clear my brain got confused

Siffrin the Idea vs Siffrin the Person

Everyone knows Siffrin is cool as fuck. But who knows what he's thinking? Who knows why they crush Sadnesses? And why do we think about him as fondly as we think of the mythical (nonexistent?) Forgotten Island? Perchance.

When Siffrin leaves his place of safety to stomp a Sad, he knows that he may Die. And yet, for a guy who can loop back indefinitely, a life becomes a mere store of value. A tax that can be paid for, much as a rich man feels any law with a fine is a price. We think of Siffrin as a hero, but he is simply a two percenter of a more privileged variety. The lifekind.
