I also want to note that I will be taking my Doyoung post down even though it had Johnny in it. I'm clutching my pearls like a southern white woman and leaving. For example, New Jeans they have a contract with Coca-Cola, and they just had a meal with McDonald's. That I completely understand. And while these have not become federal law, they have garnered enough support so that 27 states have adopted anti-boycott laws that explicitly prohibit businesses from boycotting or endorsing boycotts of Israeli products and goods. I would also encourage you to look at what happened to Airbnb when it tried to take a stance on Israeli occupation.

So while, you may not personally believe that boycotts work, our federal and state governments absolutely believe that they work so much so that they are not only orchestrating social pressures to keep businesses from participating, but actually in many cases creating legislation Prohibiting boycotts because they believe that’s how effective they are.
