so obviously i rewatched the scene where kai and lloyd find eachother again one million times yesterday and can i mention that kai had like. bandages under his gi?

i mean. it COULD have been a crumpled shirt. but then again this is lloyd's pov. so i cant be sure.

also i was comparing the kai's clothes on the trailer and his clothes when he reunites with lloyd and theyre not only extremely different but they are VERY MUCH shit. like he's dirty and has lost his armour and cape. and i cant tell if the belt he's using on dr is the one he holds during monstrosity because the colors are different, too?? like what the hell happened bro.

and that's not even touching upon how TIRED bro is.

in this scene, the moment lloyd has his back to him, he climbs this FOUR STEPS really, really heavily. like he's having trouble moving at all.

and then

like bro it's just a mergequake. hell it's one of the earlier ones. why are you so winded that you get shown frowning TWICE and THEN ALSO breathless after it. lloyd doesn't show this kind of distress. it's just kai.

he looks miserable when he's packing up. yes he does smile at lloyd but of course he smiles at lloyd. can anyone hear me. bud are you Okay.

How many generations removed do you think the centipede fire master was from Kai? Where the fire master line (???) originally from this dying/dead world and eventually escaped or did he enter the world for a reason many questions I doubt will be answered but delight me anyway.

Im thinking like 1-2 generations before Ray, maybe some years after the fsm made ninjago and the other realms? Also, very much vining with the whole "Masters of fire originally came from the realm of monsters" theory, cause it makes sense.

Like, imagine the og master of fire chucking his only remaining kid to ninjago before he was eaten by the centipede monster, then the element of fire being past on to them after, then they get a partner and have Ray? I think it's a pretty solid theory. Also gives another reason why Kai struggled with unlocking his element and true potential.

Kinda hoping for the arin confrontation to be a realistic and slow process instead of a quick "It's okay not to have Elemental powers you're just as good as the rest of us!!!!!!" Between Lloyd and arin, because the writers have done such a good job at emotional scenes so far.

hoping to have some big bro kai scenes too. Because arin, sora, and Wyldfyre are so similar to kai in regards to their own self worth and how they view their contributions to their team

Arin feels useless because of his lack of elemental power and wanting to grow stronger through not so peaceful means? Kai's whole green ninja spiel and the entirety of the tournament of elements.

Sora feels guilty about arin and feels as if she's only gotten this far because of her Elemental tech? S11, S12, S13, Powers stolen, Powers Lost, Powers negated by Vengstone.

One thing ive been doing to combat ninjago spoilers is I feed them to my siblings. If I find an edit of the leaks, I immediate pause it, shove them in the closest siblings face, and make them react to it (volume off of course) I then watch their reactions to determine if it's good, return to doomscrolling, repeat. It's very fun, and actually helps if said sibling isn't actually into ninjago and just watches it with me because they find my reactions funny.

THEY WOULD PANIC. HEAVILY. Imagine seeing your supposedly dead brother walk in with a dragon and a sentient mech while just being oddly violent out of nowhere, looking completely different—scars, darker outfit, flinchy—and Nya’s first reaction is pure shock before she goes into full panic mode. Lloyd’s trying to stay calm but he’s internally freaking out because Kai was his first sensei and now he’s like this?? looking like a very dirty feral cat??? It feels like the start of a bad pun.

Monstrosity trailer analysis part 2! Part 1 <

The environment (+ a theory on what the monsters are)

This is the topic I've been wanting to discuss for the longest time. The environment and the ecosystem in general. To start, it just feels so alive. Everything from the flora to the terrain feels eerie in such a good way that I paused the trailer and clapped. It's gorgeous, and it feels like the place looks back at you when you look at it. The use of empty space and hidden context is also ingenious. You see bridges and landmarks and carvings, and you just know someone or some people were here before Kai. Maybe the human inhabitants of the realm? Or the ones living in the homelands the guardian dragon was talking about? What really happened to them then? The forests are so empty and filled with greenery that it makes it feel untouched. A place where no human should be let alone live in. Poor Kai, I hope he has fun.

Another thing I like is that there are different landforms. From plains to forests to hills to mountains, it's like we were put in Kai's shoes with the sheer scale of it all. Each area has their own specific monster/s to that region, and it makes the idea of the realm being unfamiliar really tangible. It makes you think and theorize what the food chain is or if there even is one. Are some of the inhabitants herbivores? Or are they all carnivores? Maybe omnivores? Are they all organic? Maybe some have different skin? Are there supernatural elements? What if some are capable of speech or sentience? There are just so many things to pick apart and analyze that you can't really help but rewatch the trailer every five minutes while it's on the lowest speed just so that you can catch every detail. Or is that just me. Please dont say it's just me.

One thing that i find kinda funny is that there are also bodies of water. Like, legit large spaces of sea and river. From oceans to lakes to just flooded plateaus (I don't know the term, sorry), there was even a shot where Kai was just in front of a sea full of broken shipwrecks. It makes you think if a water-based realm was merged inside of it or! This is a theory! If the realm of monsters is a parasite realm. A realm that infects others and therefore grows bigger with each new land consumed. A theory I saw on here was that each monster was an elemental master consumed, and that's what the centipede mural is for. What if the rom (realm of monsters) was just a regular realm before its elemental masters got hit with a curse of some sort? Maybe that's why the guardian dragon is pissed. What if the monsters need elemental energy to survive? That's why there are SO many of them that are huge? What if they fed on the guardian dragons? What if that's why they're extinct?

Maybe that's why they're so hostile. They can sense Kai is an elemental master and one of the elements of creation as well. It's why the mech and dragon want to help him. They won't let another master become that.

The merge also caused a giant surge in elemental energy, so another reason why they are so many of them. Maybe they procreated using that energy.

Ooooooo I can't wait for this. I'm definitely checking if I'm right when monstrosity comes out.
