A month late, but done! Thank you all so much for your patience. ^_^'

I got unexpectedly delayed by a wonderful surprise! After all the surgeries and ivf, my husband and i got extremely lucky. Our embryo lived and will be born around late fall/early winter! I'm just as surprised as I am thrilled!

 i'm also apparently one of those pregnant people who gets very, very, VERY sick in the first trimester. This was the hardest update i've done in ages just because it's very hard to think clearly and move one's hands precisely when you're constantly fighting off vomiting and unexpectedly falling asleep all the time. I was nervous to say anything at first because i wasn't sure if the baby would live, but it's been several weeks and so far he seems very strong so I think it's ok to give word of his existence (I'm so proud of my lil' one! Fight! Fight! Fight, Lil' Dude! <3).

Hey, you know how the Zelda community has, like, Linked Universe and Multiversal Links AUs?

Well, I propose a little offshoot of the marvel multiverse and spiderverse just for Morbius; As a treat! Like, there are enough distinct multimedia versions of him that it would be funny to set them all down in the same room.

Like for Tv/Cartoons you have TAS Morbius and Ultimate Spider-Man Morbius: you get both because they are very different characters, TAS being possibly the youngest version of Michael, and Ultimate being the most cowardly and closest to a villain.

For video games you would have Midnight Suns Morbius: I know that’s not the only video game version of him, but he’s the most fleshed out version of Michael in gaming.

In print media you can possibly have two of them: post 2013 616 Comic book Morbius (who has the sick from a young age background) and Book Morbius from that novel (he ties best into the 70s and magazine continuity of getting sick later in life)

And, of course, you have to have Movie version Morbius: like it or not, in universe, he is just another version of Michael, he doesn’t know how horribly written or acted he is! He deserves just as much sympathy as any other version. Plus, it could be very funny if he’s the meta one. like, because of how much Leto is bleeding out of that performance, he can see the fourth wall while in a multiversal setting. And he is deeply aware and ashamed by what he can see!

And well, as far as what they’d all do once together? I don’t know 🤷, what do Multimedia Morbs do? Look for a cure together? Compare love interests? Try to save Nikos from the timeline? Raise an infant B-Negative?

Nope now it’s at the point that i’m shocked that people off tt don’t know what’s going down. I have no reach but i’ll sum it up anyway.

SCOTUS is hearing on the constitutionality of the ban as tiktok and creators are arguing that it is a violation of our first amendment rights to free speech, freedom of the press and freedom to assemble.

SCOTUS: tiktok bad, big security concern because china bad!

Tiktok lawyers: if china is such a concern why are you singling us out? Why not SHEIN or temu which collect far more information and are less transparent with their users?

SCOTUS (out loud): well you see we don’t like how users are communicating with each other, it’s making them more anti-american and china could disseminate pro china propaganda (get it? They literally said they do not like how we Speak or how we Assemble. Independent journalists reach their audience on tt meaning they have Press they want to suppress)

Tiktok users: this is fucking bullshit i don’t want to lose this community what should we do? We don’t want to go to meta or x because they both lobbied congress to ban tiktok (free market capitalism amirite? Paying off your local congressmen to suppress the competition is totally what the free market is about) but nothing else is like TikTok

A few users: what about xiaohongshu? It’s the Chinese version of tiktok (not quite, douyin is the chinese tiktok but it’s primarily for younger users so xiaohongshu was chosen)

16 hours later:

Tiktok as a community has chosen to collectively migrate TO a chinese owned app that is purely in Chinese out of utter spite and contempt for meta/x and the gov that is backing them.

My fyp is a mix of “i would rather mail memes to my friends than ever return to instagram reels” and “i will xerox my data to xi jinping myself i do not care i share my ss# with 5 other people anyway” and “im just getting ready for my day with my chinese made coffee maker and my Chinese made blowdryer and my chinese made clothing and listening to a podcast on my chinese made phone and get in my car running on chinese manufactured microchips but logging into a chinese social media? Too much for our gov!” etc.

So the government was scared that tiktok was creating a sense of class consciousness and tried to kill it but by doing so they sent us all to xiaohongshu. And now? Oh it’s adorable seeing this gov-manufactured divide be crossed in such a way.

This is adorable and so not what they were expecting. Im sure they were expecting a reluctant return to reels and shorts to fill the void but tiktokers said fuck that, we will forge connections across the world. Who you tell me is my enemy i will make my friend. That’s pretty damn cool.

This is very Morbius coded too, if you think about it.

Hi, I read it, it was ok… but a warning to folks who like Michael as a character: read at your own risk!

He’s, no spoilers, very out of character here, and the way he’s used in the plot is a little gross… just a heads up.

However Mitzi is a very fun character and I appreciate her dynamic with Gwen and Peter; I just dislike the method in which she receives her powers (hint: that’s the gross thing).

I think it could have been handled better and in plenty of ways that would not have to resort to that …

(Like literally there’s a whole tank full of recently experimented on bats, right there! Which do get released into a crowd. Spider people don’t have to put with that, so why did Mitzi?)

I’ve previously mentioned this story in other posts of mine, but this is its own dedicated post! Spider-Woman and Mitzi; The Living Vampire is a Spider-Verse based story centering around Gwen Stacy, her Peter Parker, and my OC Mitzi Tamanna who’s their best friend. After a field trip goes sinister, she becomes the Morbius variant of Earth-73. In a series of Jennifers Body inspired events, Gwen has to figure out what happened to her friend and how to stop her with Peters help. It’s an angsty teenage action and drama story with a gripping love triangle, all unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Here’s the link!
