Anyways happy Black History Month!
Remember to support Black people! Not just famous black people, but Black people in your everyday life. Elevate their voices. Listen to them. Black men, women and nonbinary people. Lightskin and darkskin Black people. Disabled Black people, Black people with all sorts of conditions.
Not just February, but every day of every month, every year.

My life purpose isn’t to “work.”
Your life purpose isn’t to “work.”
Disabled people especially should not be required to damage their health in order to be respected as a human being.
Theres two types of people:
Crying along to all too well at 1 am like we good, it’s fine
A friend of mine said this to me one day, after asking me what my favorite romantic trope was, and I shit you not I didnt know how to look them in the eyes for the rest of the day- like damn buddy, way to reach into my soul there
i saw a tweet that said "you love enemies to lovers fics because you think that the only way someone could ever love you is by seeing the worst parts of your soul first and if they still choose to stay, then that's true love," and i pretend i do not see it
So for years black girls have had to read fanfics where y/n was automatically described as being paled skinned with long flowing hair and blue eyes. We couldn’t relate to it exactly, it excluded us, it ignored us. But we read it cause it was all that was out there. Now when we start writing fanfics for other black girls to feel included and represented, now you all are saying that you ‘‘can’t relate to it” therefore don’t support black writers when we were supporting your work all those years even though you were acting like we don’t exist within these fandoms.
on 23 June a magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit Mexico with its epicenter in Oaxaca, where there is a predominant indigenous demographic. the majority of the damage occurred in indigenous pueblos that are still curently recovering from the devastating earthquake that happened 3 years ago. these same indigenous communities are also simultaneously experiencing displacement due to COVID 19 and lack of government aid. these are places that have the most vulnerability and need the most direct action and attention in recovery and aid.
