Okay, imagine you're me, super excited and happy because you just found a new fic! A skizzpulse college/university au, that's going to be around 30 chapters give or take, has an interesting plot, AND has amazing writing! A home run if you ask me.

Then, like any normal person, I look at the comments on chapter one,

I see your profile, "wow, that looks familiar, wonder where they got it from" *little did I know.*

Then I look at your name. "HOLY SHIT THIS IS CANNIBAL WALLEYE!"

And suddenly it all clicks together.

I found you from your fanart for Amethystfairy1, and later fell in love with your style and other art. (But APPARENTLY I forgot to follow you. Unbelievable.) You are actually the main reason as to why I posted *my* fanart for tt, and later other art!

Your art really inspired me, and I want you to know that! So finding a fic that I INSTANTLY love, and later finding out that it's made by YOU doesn't even feel real!

I am so hyped for this, maybe even more so now that I know it's you! The first three chapter have been nothing short of AMAZING and I can't wait to see the rest!

It's not annoying, that's a fair question! I do plan to continue both of them, it's just a combination of things that have been stopping me :( A big reason I haven't been working on those is that I've been focused on my lils au with Enkay for Hermit a Day May, and we've been working on that for well over a month. The other thing is that I'm just generally struggling to find consistent motivation and time to actually work on it, but that doesn't mean I've abandoned the projects entirely!! I'm about halfway through the next chapter of TSotS, but it's slow going. Idk how long it'll take, just know I'm working on it :P

Presenting Hermit-a-Day-May #1: Impulse!

This is a page from Skizz's notes on the Hermits, from mine and @enkays-den's Lils Universe. Explanations under the cut from me and Enkay! There's a lot of lore and worldbuilding going on >:)

Hello! Welcome to a special edition of Hermit A Day May! We’ll be posting little bios that Skizz has made of all the Hermits in our Lils Universe story. The entries you see are a few weeks ahead of where the story is at the moment, but we don’t care, we just want to share these awesome designs and give you a taste for what’s to come! Walleye did the art and some writing, Enkay did a big chunk of the writing and all the page layouts, as well as the doodles of @hybbart's Tamacrafters designs, or Lils as they’re called in our story! (though, Skizz calls them soul sprites)

This is technically a sneak peek into the world building we’ve been creating for the past few months, which is honestly one of the reasons that our projects have been kinda inactive lately. Each journal page has Skizz's notes on the Hermit and their Lil, part of a photo, and some secret text written in Galactic. The full photo will be released after all the people in it have had their day

Okay okay this will not go away so

The Hermits ranking how weird they are right

And Impulse talking about his inverted mouse controls and how Skizz also uses inverted controls because they both played the same war game

Where Impulse was the helicopter pilot

And Skizz was his gunner

And I just.

In a fictional version of Hermitcraft, Impulse the demon soldier of wars long won or lost but either way forgotten going 'you know what, it's nice here, it's calm and fun and beautiful and the chaos is always tempered by love no matter how destructive it gets, I should bring my friend.'

And his friend Skizz- an angel, the opposite of him in every way, an enemy turned ally turned something like brother but the word brother does not and cannot truly encompass what they have become to one another over millennia- says, 'will they want me?'

'Of course they will.'

'I can't create. I never could.'

'That's not what it's about. Come on, come see it. Come be with me where there are no guns. Come fly again.'

And these two old soldiers, one guiding the other into a circle of people who will trust and care and treat him like a person, not a weapon. Who will laugh at his antics and love him just as he is, as Impulse came to love him.

Just fucking. Impulse and Skizz, both with ancient scars, building new things together just like they promised one another they would when everything was dust and blood and this- this is their happy ending, and they share it with people who don't have a clue, and its perfect.
