ALBEDO looks at you with a specific kind of expression that you’d know what the next few words would be. Eyes sparkling with affection and a gentle smile seemingly plastered on his lips, as if he couldn’t control the urge to do so as he gazed at you like that for a few seconds. One, two, three, “I love you so much, darling,” he says, alas, the bomb has set off.

CHILDE doesn’t say it often but he does make sure he will. He says it when there is a strong urge of emotional connection between you, when he feels that bubble in his chest, waiting for him to strike it with a blow of words. His expression varies as well, depending on what occasion or situation you were both on. Passionate and fiery, or solemn and peaceful. GOROU isn’t afraid of saying those words even with the presence of others. He loves you, you love him, what seems to be the procblem? He’s very affectionate most of the time so it’s quite difficult to know when he’ll say them because he sometimes blurts it out and you’ll never see it coming. “My love,” he grins as he peeks onto your eyes, making sure you will look at him before he leans in his head to your cheeks, rubbing off his cheeks then his hair and his ears. This prompts a giggle from you, and he slightly leans away to meet your away again, “I love you!” he declares and presses a kiss on your cheek.

KAEYA says it between his teases; “You know how much I love you, babe,” “Have I ever told you I love you?,” “That was good. I love you, you know that, right?” And despite its facade, he meant it with his heart and soul. It’s not something that he says just to anyone with those gentle smile and the affectionate way he rubbed the juncture between your thumb and index. He knows when he’s in love, and he surely does to you.

KAZUHA writes it in his poems or haikus. However when he does vocalize it, there is never a similar way of him saying it, he’s quite unreadable too. You’ll never know his true intentions until he has done it. One day he had gently taken your hand, kissing the back of your palm and traced his way up with gentle kisses, and when he was inches away from your face his other hand softly caressed your cheek before saying “You truly have a hold on me, dove. I love you very much.”

SCARAMOUCHE rarely says those three words and doesn’t really find the necessity to. However, of course there were those times that he does, and during these moments, the world turns… silent. You’ll literally feel it; the tension rising in the air, his eyes staring into yours that it’s basically unreadable; he looked hesitant, but confident at the same time—is it possible? Yes. The situation would even make you want to ask him if he wants to say something, and then he just says it, blurts it out as if it slipped from his lips. His eyes widen and he looks away for a bit, only to return his gaze with a small pout. “That’s what I want to say. I can’t help it.”

THOMA seems like the type to say it often, but only when it’s just you and him. Those words are for you and you alone, and he wants you to be selfish of it no matter what. He places himself behind you, wrapping his arms as he leans on the side of your face. Sometimes, when he feels like it, he’d pepper kisses on the juncture by your neck, or that he suddenly says, “I love you,” fondness in his tone as he presses you even more to his chest, letting you feel the warmth that radiates off of him.

VENTI sings it in his songs, sometimes even sings it to you with just the words, “I love you, I love you.” He says those words with every chance he got. Out of everyone in this list, he is probably the one who says it the most. Everyone is basically used to seeing him just strum on his lyre as he leans back, his head suddenly on your shoulder or just to look at you behind him as he says those words.

XIAO has a hard time saying them to you, but he’s not afraid of showing them. Nonetheless, there are very rare times when he does say them and it will always leave you breathless when he does. Closing his eyes as he leans over you, pressing your foreheads together, seated next to each other. It takes a lot from him to initiate actions like these, but over the years, he had learned and adapted, his own body betraying himself from doing such mortal actions. “I’ll return to you, I love you,” he says, but they were enough for your shoulders to ease and so did his. He then leans away gently to kiss your forehead this time, a silent promise of the future that no one will ever be sure of.

ZHONGLI always says it at the perfect time. When you never even thought of needing it, he was there to say it to you. Whenever he does though, the thing that he usually does is hold you. Your hand, your form, your face—he holds you tenderly, gingerly, treating you like you were the finest jade he had ever seen. “Beloved,” he calls you, his fingers on your chin, holding it up softly as you are perched on his lap, hands on his chest. once again the way i wrote these rly changes as u go down but I thought the concept was cute so 😩 also peep me finally trying to write smth for thoma after wanting to for weeks now 🤩

Kaeya would embrace you often, but rarely tightly. Venti embraces you often, no matter the occasion. It's his favourite way of showing affection and with you at the receiving end it happens pretty much all the time. It'll be rare to not find him by your side, drawing you close to him, even with something as simple as keeping his arm draped around you. One of his favourite ways to hold you is with you nestled in his lap as he places his head in the dip between your neck and shoulder.

The way that Thoma embraces you somehow always manages to leave you breathless. It isn't often that you get to, usually just the first few moments of seeing one another again after time apart, but he scoops you into his arms in such an overwhelmingly passionate manner. If you do open up to him about your problems, he actually had no idea that you were having such, although the next time you do the same, he’ll actually be more relaxed and lets you indulge in alcohol unless you already had too much.

He had been there the entire time and he can’t say it’s pleasing to his eyes for you to drown yourself in alcohol, he knows someone like that, but he couldn’t blame you as well. If it is already a part of you, he won’t try to reprimand you, unless it is very detrimental to your health. He will listen to your rants as you drink alcohol and will only give you advice in the morning when you’re sober. For now, he has to take care of you and for him to lend his ears for you as you do the same to him any other day. It’s endearing, actually, how he could sense the truthfulness in your emotions whilst you’re intoxicated. After all, he’s not a mortal and these are things that humans do when they have problems most of the time, it seems.

If you try to make moves on him, it’s alluring for him and he chuckles wholeheartedly at each of them, yet nothing can ever make this man flustered… unless you’re really bold in your drunk flirting statements. No matter how hard you try, this man is a rock--no pun intended.

“Stay here on the bed for a while, let me brew you some tea for tomorrow,” he says, but when you follow him on the kitchen and hug him from behind while he does what he has to do, he won’t reprimand you and it’ll actually make him break a smile and reward you with a soft kiss on the forehead afterward.

“Thank you for waiting for me, dearest.”

Your first kiss with Kaeya is sweet, soft and gentle. He just can't seem to help himself anymore around you, pulling you close to him one evening under the stars and pressing his lips to yours like his life depends on it. You weren't even dating yet, but at least this way you finally knew how you felt about one another. Perhaps, just maybe, he had been planning it this way all along.

The first time Diluc kisses you is absolutely out of the blue. He's been planning the perfect time to for weeks now, meticulously making sure that he has everything in place. He'll ask you if he can after dinner one night, he's decided.

But it doesn't go to plan at all when he comes home one night and you're there waiting for him, surprising him with a home-cooked meal and a tender smile. He sweeps you into his arms and kisses you on the spot.

Albedo isn't the type to plan out something like a first kiss. Not to say that it wouldn't be something he cared about, moreso if you're at the point of your relationship where you want to kiss, it'll just happen naturally. The first time ends up being during something really simple, like you leaning across him whilst helping with an experiement and receiving a gentle peck as thanks.

Kissing Childe for the first time happens very early into the relationship, potentially even before you get together. It might be a little rushed, teeth clicking together and perhaps even bumping foreheads being too caught up in the moment, but you both know absolutely that it's the right thing to do right then. Regardless, it'll feel romantic and unforgettable.

Zhongli kisses you for the first time out in the open air of the Liyuean wilderness, pulling you close and dipping you low as the sun begins to set over the horizon. It'll be in the middle of one of your regular walks, a route you'd taken together maybe a hundred times before, but this and every time after will have an extra special meaning in your heart.

You're the one to initiate the first kiss with Xiao, otherwise you'd probably never reach that threshold with him. You ask him first, of course, not wanting to risk him being uncomfortable- though none of the gentle touches and general closeness between you has given you reason to believe he would be. He kisses you back experimentally, worried that something bad might happen at any moment for allowing himself to enjoy this.

Kazuha kisses you the way you imagine every fairytale protagonist gets their first kiss. Time seems to stop and all you see is him, both leaning into one another, and you swear sparks fly as your lips finally meet. He wastes no time kissing you more and more, uttering poetic sweet nothings to you between each one.

The first time you kiss Venti is probably accidental. Not in the case of neither of you wanting to in the first place, but moreso those moments where one person goes to kiss the other's cheek but they move and lock lips instead. It's clumsy and you both end up bowling over laughing about it, but it's pleasant all the same and leaves you feeling warm. Suffice to say, however, that the times following are certainly no accident.

Your first kiss with Thoma is intense and full of emotions, happening in a momentary interlude after being worried you'd lost one another. He kisses you like you're going to disappear if he doesn't, like you're his lifeline. There's a good chance you'll catch a few tears slip out of the corners of his eyes, only because it's the same moment he realises how overwhelmingly in love with you he is.
