I wonder if women who identify as men see males as the "basic, default person" in a way. TIFs dysphoria sometimes begins with discomfort toward their breasts because they've been sexualized, or the trauma inherent in puberty and getting their period, or the expectation to wear makeup or objectifying clothing - and then they think, "Well, men don't have breasts or periods. They don't have to wear makeup or clothes like that."
I wonder if it's less about truly "feeling like a male" and more about seeing the male as the standard person who does not have all these additional problems and expectations and identifying with that.
gay men: i am attracted to exclusively adult human males. i want to be able to marry without being discriminated against.
lesbian women: i am attracted to exclusively adult human females. i want to be able to marry without being discriminated against.
bisexual people: i am attracted to both sexes. i want to be able to marry without being discriminated against.
transgender people: i am an autogynophile, or someone with gender dysphoria, or someone who is uncomfortable in their body and therefore i experience extreme feelings of distress because my body doesn't match to be my true self. these feelings of distress is strong enough to make me want to commit suicide on a daily basis and the only way i can elevate that distress is by taking artificial hormones and undertaking painful surgeries to remove or permanently alter parts of my otherwise healthy body. but if i am attracted to certain body parts i can keep my genitalia and argue my way into lesbians spaces and force them to suck my cock. also please top saying sex. it's extremely triggering and i am always EXCLUDED from SAME SEX ATTRACTED SPACES! it's transphobic that you're not included from my body parts! and i also believe in rigid gender roles and think anyone who is slightly gender non conforming is trans and...
Hey gyns, if you’re on reddit, please go support r/TheLezistance. It’s a safe space for lesbians to vent and talk about how TRAs and the modern LGBT community have been erasing and abusing them for years now. Of course, many of the members are TERFs and radfems so it’s under a lot of scrutiny from TRAs.
I wish I’d known about the sub sooner but I found out about it today because of this post on r/GenderCynical (a sub making fun of gender critical beliefs) trying to get them banned, which I think is absolutely disgusting and homophobic. This is all because they don’t want to date trans women. Btw here are TRAs confirming that they ban safe spaces for gay men and lesbians:
I’m not a lesbian so I won’t post or comment there but I joined to show support. You should too. TRAs get every radfem sub banned.
In the meantime I’ll be reporting r/GenderCynical and r/EnoughJKRowling because they’re also classified as “hate groups” according to their logic.
Getting the "girls can do anything and still be a girl" talk is like being handed a sword. Being told “maybe you’re a boy” when you stray from the mold? That’s a cage.
One says: you’re real.
The other says: you’re wrong.
You were never wrong. You were always you. And anyone who tried to un-girl you for not being soft enough, quiet enough, pink enough? They were scared of a girl who didn’t need permission to exist.
You didn’t need to change. The world needs to catch up.
You know that feeling when you spread your wings like you've been grounded forever, feathers tangled in the wires of their expectations and suddenly, the wind catches you? The air’s not heavy anymore, it's freedom. They tell you you're too wild for a cage, that you should be smaller, quieter, tamer. But they don’t understand you’ve always been meant to fly. Maybe you haven't even figured out your full wingspan yet, but every time you stretch, you feel the sky, vast and endless, waiting.
You were never meant to stay in the nest they built for you. The moment you left, you started becoming the bird you were always supposed to be. They can keep their cages. You’ll keep your flight.
Or something like that, I like birds....
this is from some awful TRA ‘guide’ on how to spot terfs and why terfs are bad
there’s many things wrong with this whole ‘guide’, but one thing i found so stupid is them saying calling yourself an “adult human female” is a dog whistle or a sign of bigotry or whatever
because “adult human female” is…quite literally the definition of woman. like in almost every dictionary that is the exact definition of woman. calling yourself a woman is a bigoted terf dog whistle that is deserving of condemnation, apparently 🫠
trans activists: cis gays are a disease
trans activists: i hate cis f*ggots
trans activists: cis lesbians deserve to be raped
republicans: i agree. let’s re-ban same-sex marriage
trans activists: OH MY GOD DO THE TERFS SEE WHAT THEY’VE DONE DO THEY SEE THE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT
"I'm pretty with makeup"
"I'm pretty without makeup"
Radical feminism: "It doesn't matter if you're pretty at all. You don't exist to be pretty."
"Female body hair is okay"
"Female body hair is not okay"
Radical Feminism: "Female body hair simply exists and is completely neutral. Talking about whether its 'okay' doesn't even make sense."
"Presenting THIS way makes you a man"
"Presenting THIS way makes you a woman"
Radical feminism: "Nothing about the way you present makes you a man or woman. Gender isn't real."
I love that radical feminism just removes you from so many binaries of thought. It makes them completely nonsensical. Why would I analyze whether I'm pretty when it doesn't matter either way? Why is the acceptability of my body hair even a subject of discussion? It merely exists, just like the bark on a tree. Does society sit around and debate whether a tree ought to be able to keep its bark?
I've come to realize that I've been handed a ton of "either/or" choices about who I am all my life and told to make a decision on each one. And they were all illusions! I just exist. I never had to justify the way I am or even formulate an opinion on it.
Gendies like to say "sex ≠ gender." And this is correct.
And if we agree that sex ≠ gender, then riddle me this: why do you people try to force your way into sex-segregated spaces and sports based on gender identity?
Could it be that you may just be incredibly dishonest people who move goalposts and change rules based on what benefits you in the moment?
the “block op they’re a terf” movement was so thorough that now none of the libfems have any idea what radical feminism is about. I just saw a post saying that we enforce rigid gender roles and most of us are white like…not only are there a LOT of radfems of color (including myself), our whole thing is abolishing gender while acknowledging sex based oppression
Honestly when I hear people say “not receiving gender affirming surgeries will make me feel suicidal” I hear the same thing as if someone said “if I don’t get a nose job I’ll feel suicidal”
It’s a physical insecurity that wouldn’t exist in a vacuum. I’m sorry that you were influenced to feel this way, but surgery will not fix something that is rooted in self-hatred. If you change it with surgery, you will find another insecurity to fixate on within a week.
Also, can we talk about how rebranding gender affirming surgery as some life-saving procedure is just promoting and glamorising a very misogynistic and corrupt industry.
if your feminism excludes trans people, you are not a feminist. Feminism means equality.
The definition of feminism:
The definition of radical feminism:
I am a feminist, don't you dare try to silence me just because you've been brainwashed into thinking that being trans is okay.
