Spend The Night (Part 1)

Request: Could you do a Dean x Reader where they’re both in the same class at uni and they really hate each other? They make a bet one day that she can do better than him on a test and if she wins he has to do what she says for a week and if he wins she has to kiss him everyday for a week. She doesn’t like what he’s asking for but doesn’t think she’ll lose so she accepts. She loses, and when Dean tries to kiss her she dodges him. Later that day he gets her alone and ends up pinning her against a wall and tries to kiss her. He stops though because she’s shaking and crying because she’s scared of him. He apologizes and she tells him that she got scared because she was assaulted back in high school. He spends all night listening and comforting her and by the end they’re friends? Maybe a future relationship?

Summary: You’re Veronica Lodge’s little sister and are dating Archie Andrews. You’re nothing like your sister, you don’t care about the riches and you don’t follow your parents’ orders blindly. You become close with the Southside and want to stop your father but your father has gotten into Archies head and is the devil on his shoulder.

Riverdale was so different from New York, but I loved it so much. New York was too noisy and there were too many people, I didn’t enjoy it. I use to dream about moving to a small town and now that we have it was interesting. My mother and sister, Hermione and Veronica Lodge, weren’t as happy as I was. Veronica missed the glam and the parties, while my mom missed the riches and the luxuries we had. We were still better off than other people in the world but with my dad in jail for embezzling we didn’t have as much money as we use to. I was pretty much the opposite of Veronica, she was a spoiled rich girl, and I didn’t get that. My parents preferred her over me since she was daddy’s little girl and I was the rebel, I didn’t just mindlessly do what daddy said. I’m not saying my sister was a mindless servant to my parents but she didn’t say no too often.

Now it’s been a few months and let me tell you it was an adventure. When Veronica and I first got to school everyone knew who we were and what our father did. Veronica thought no one would want to talk to us but we ended up becoming friends with Betty Cooper, Kevin Keller, Jughead Jones, Josie McCoy, and Archie Andrews. I also became good friends with Cheryl Blossom, she’s the queen bee of the school and I thought her and Veronica were going kill each other since V was used to being the queen of school. I also started dating Archie, he was such a gentleman. That was a few months ago. Now Riverdale had turning into a living nightmare. Archie’s father had been shot at Pop’s and we were going to the hospital to meet him. When we got there he was covered in blood and looked so scared.

“Oh my God, Archie…” I said and hugged him, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead followed. Once we pulled apart we all sat down in the uncomfortable hospital chairs.

“Archie, what happened?” Betty asked worried.

“I came out of the bathroom and there was this man, a thief, wearing this hood with a gun at Pop Tate and then he pointed it at my dad and fired…”

“My God, Archie…” Veronica said shocked.

“And then he…” Archie paused and we all looked at him.

“And then he what?” I asked gently.

“And then he bolted…and I was holding my dad, Pop Tate called an ambulance and it didn’t come so I drove here and I…” He sighed.

“And I don’t know, maybe I should’ve waited. Maybe I made it worse…” He said getting choked up.

“No dude, are you kidding me? You saved your dad’s life! First Cheryl and now your dad? If you keep this up you’re gonna need a superhero name, ‘Pureheart the Powerful’.” Jughead said trying to comfort his friend.

“There isn’t any new information, Your dad’s in surgery, he’s gonna be there for awhile.” Mrs. Cooper said walking over to us. My mom kneeled down next to my boyfriend.

“Archie, have you spoken to your mother about any of this yet?” She asked.

“No, I haven’t called her…” He said shaking his head.

“I’ll be right back…” He got up and walked to the phones in the hall.

Once he left Alice Cooper started accusing the Serpents of shooting Fred and it was quite annoying. Once Archie was done with the call he came back and I sat next to him and held him close to me.

An hour later Sheriff Keller came to talk to Archie about what happened. Jughead and him went with Keller to discuss Fred’s shooter while the rest of us stayed in the waiting room. I sat with Betty and my sister worried out of my mind about Archie.

“Y/N, maybe Betty can give you some advice about comforting Archie.” Veronica suggested. I smiled at her a bit and shook my head.

“Veronica, I’m not you. I actually know how to comfort people when something wrong.” I said a little nastier than I meant it.

“Y/N! I just thought…”

“V I love you but seriously, I’m not like you or mom or dad, and you know that.” She sighed and nodded.

“Speaking of Archie.” She said and Betty and I looked over to wear she was looking. Archie and Jughead had walked out and the two started whispering to one another. They hugged and Jughead turned and left the hospital.

“Archie Andrews, I’m Steven Masters, I’m your father’s doctor.” A doctor said walking up to Archie. We all got up and walked over to him to hear if Fred was alright.

“‘How is he?” Archie asked.

“Well we got the bullet out and we’ve stopped the internal bleeding. But what’s most worrisome is he’s not breathing on his own yet…” Doctor Masters explained.

“I need to see him.” Archie said worried.

“And you will as soon as we’ve got him set up in a room, you’ll be able to sit with him. Should be an hour or two at the most.” The doctor said.

“And until then what am I supposed to do? Nothing?”

“Maybe, maybe you should go home and get changed.” I suggested since he was still covered in his dad’s blood.

“No, I’m not leaving.” Archie said.

“Oh Archie, wait, Y/N’s right.” Betty said.

“Here are your dad’s clothes and personal belongings, everything he had on him.” A nurse said handing Archie a bag.

“Okay well, yet another reason to go; you can get your dad a change of clothes.” Betty said bring up another reason for Archie to go home for a bit.

“Y/N will go with you, right Y/N/N?” She said with a small smile.

“We’ll hold the fort down here, Archie try not to worry. Your dad is strong stock. He’s a fighter. Fred Andrews isn’t one to leave unfinished business behind. ” Mrs. Cooper said.

Archie and I went back to his house and his dog Vegas came running up to greet him. The sweet little pup looked so happy to see him since he’s been alone for hours. I walked over to the two and smiled at the sight of a boy and his dog.

“Nobody’s walked you today huh? Must be wondering what the hell happened.” Achie stood up and held onto Vegas’s collar.

“Come on, let’s go.” He said walking past me and to the door.

“Hey Arch, what are you doing?” I asked and he grabbed the leash.

“I have to walk Vegas.” He said putting the leach on.

“Like that?” I said looking at his bloody clothing.

“You look like you just survived a horror movie! No, you take your shower, I’ll walk him.” I said trying to take the leash from him.

“Y/N, have you ever walked a dog in your life?” I smiled at him.

“I never had a dog but I’ve seen people walk dogs, does that count?” I asked. Archie shook his head with a small smile.

“I’ll put on another jacket and walk him.” He said taking off his bloody Bulldogs jacket.

“Well I’ll come with you then!” I smiled and he agreed. The three of us walked down the snowy block and Archie was telling me about Vegas.

“Before we got Vegas, my dad was like it’s gonna be your dog little Archie. Your responsibility, you ready to walk him? Give him his food? Fill his water bowl? Take care of him when he gets sick? I wanted him so bad I was like yes! Dad I’m ready, I’m so ready.” Archie smiled and I smiled back.

“Cutest origin story ever, and?” I asked looking up at him.

“Now, when I get home late from football practice, dad’s already walked him. Saturday mornings dad takes him out so I can sleep in, everytime Vegas gets sick he always comes with us to the vet. Truth is, no one loves Vegas more than my dad…” we stopped on a bridge and tears started to blur my vision as Archie was talking about Mr. Andrews with Vegas. I quickly blinked them away I needed to be there for Archie, I couldn’t be crying because his father is caring and mine isn’t.

We finished the walk and I sent Archie to go take his shower. I grabbed the bag the Mr. Andrews’s things were in and placed it on the table, I took everything out a placed them on the table to help Archie out. Once I was done with that I sat on the couch and waited for Archie to finish his shower. 20 minutes later Archie was still in there so I went upstairs to check on him. I leaned my head on the door and knocked.

“Archie? You okay?” I asked.

“I’m okay…I’m fine.” He called back and I sighed. I opened the door and walked in I took off my skirt and underwear, then my shirt and bra. I opened the curtain and Archie looked at me shocked.

“I thought you might want some company…” I said with a smile, He smiled and nodded. I stepped in the shower and kissed him while closing the curtain. The warm water ran over us as our lips were connected. His warm lips attacked mine almost desperate to feel them on his, I kissed back with as much passion and reassurance as I could so he would know he wasn’t alone in this.

Once we were done in the shower we got out, Archie went to his room to get dressed and I dried my hair and put my clothes back on. I went downstairs and decided to fold the clothes I layed out on the table. Archie came in while putting a shirt on and looked at me confused.

“What’s going on?” He asked looking at the table.

“I took your dad’s thing out of the bag, I hope that’s okay.” I said looking at him and he smiled. He started looking through the things.

“Where’s uh, where’s his wallet?” He asked confused. I looked at the things confused and started moving things around as well.

“Um… I’m not sure, that’s all that was in there.”

“It would have been in his coat.” He said and started searching the pockets.

“Are you sure you didn’t see it?” He asked, I shook my head.

“I didn’t. Maybe it was in the truck? Or back at the hospital?” I said with a small shrug.

“No, this is everything they had. You heard the nurse.” He said starting to get annoyed.

“Okay well, worst case scenario it’s just a wallet.” I said quietly.

“Everything that is important to my dad is in that wallet, he doesn’t go anywhere without it.” He said getting more annoyed.

“For all we know it’s at Pop’s” I said trying to calm him down.

“Why did you even open the bag?” He said raising his voice.

“I thought…I wanted to help!”

“No seriously! Why are we here? Y/N I didn’t ask you to come, I didn’t even want to come here! And…” He sighed and shook his head.

“Fuck, just forget it. Just go…I’ll take care of this. I’ll see you back at the hospital or I’ll call you.” He said sitting down, I looked at him sadly.

“You really want me to go?” I asked him quietly.

“I do, yeah.” He nodded looking annoyed. I looked at him then walked towards the door. I stopped staring at the door for a second before turning back around.

“I’m sorry no…” I said quietly.

“What?” He asked without looking at me.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not going. Archie you shouldn’t be alone right now! You’re angry and hurting and probably terrified, I know I am. So yell at me and try to push me away but I’m not going anywhere!” I said sitting next to him and he wiped a tear away.

“I’m staying right here with you, where I belong.” I said and he started crying. I pulled him to me and did my best to comfort him.

15 minutes later Archie had stopped crying and we had talked about what was going on a little. Archie’s phone rang from the kitchen and he got up to answer it, I followed behind him.

“Is it the hospital?” I asked worried.

“Sheriff Keller.” He said and answered his phone.

The phone call was short and Archie asked me to go back to the hospital while he went to the station to look at a lineup. When I got back Betty, Jughead, and Veronica came up and asked me where Archie was.

“He’s at the Sheriff station doing a lineup, he asked me to be here with Fred until he come back.”

“Well that’s gonna be traumatizing for him we should go down there!” Betty said but I stopped her.

“Actually can you two do me a favor? Mr. Andrew’s wallet is missing, we think it might be at Pop’s… that or the guy that shot Fred might have it…

“Well if it was just some rando robbing Pop’s then he probably took the money then got rid of the wallet.” Betty said.

“Unless it wasn’t just some rando, unless it was premeditated in some way.” Jughead said.

“What? Is that and actual theory?” Veronica asked shocked.

“Not according to Sheriff Keller, but if you ask me people have grudges, people have enemies; I mean think of where we live, fathers are killing their sons. It’s entirely conceivable this was a hit.” Jughead explained.

“Okay, or the wallets just at Pop’s, so we’ll check it out Y/N/N.” Betty said and her and Jughead left to go to Pop’s.

“Veronica, I was wondering if you could do me a favor too?” I asked my sister.

“Of course, anything.” She said with a smile.

“I was wondering if you could use your shopping skills to help me get Fred a new wallet, just incase?” I asked playing with my necklace. She smiled and grabbed my arms.

“Yes of course Y/N/N, I will get the perfect wallet that you can give to Archie.” She smiled and went off to make some calls. I looked over at my mom and she stood up and walked somewhere, she looked scared or worried, maybe both. I followed after her and she walked into the hospital chapple. I walked over and kneeled next to her.

“What are we praying for, Fred’s speedy recovery or a quick death?” I asked my mother.

“Y/N, why on earth would I pray for that?” She asked slightly shocked.

“Jughead said that what happened to Mr.Andrews may have been a hit, but who would be evil enough to do that and why? Then I remember how you wanted Fred to sell his share of the company back to you and daddy, because him and daddy wouldn’t get along. Which is a threat if I’ve ever heard one.” I said with a slight bit of anger.

“And because you are so determined to paint your father as a villain, you assume he must have put a hit on Fred Andrews. Brilliant.”

“Not him. You.” I said looking at my mother and she looked back at me shocked.

“I don’t think you’re an innocent pawn, Mom. I think you’re Daddy’s eyes and ears on the ground. Calling the shots.” I explained.

“Do you genuinely believe that?”

“If the Manolo Blahnik fits” I said with a small smirk and a shrug. My mom stood up and I looked at her.

“Mija Your disrespect will no longer be tolerated. Not by me, and certainly not by your father when he comes home. So a word of advice, get back in line with this family. Because you are a Lodge before anything else.” I chuckled softly and shook my head. She bent down next to my head.

“You know, I should slap you for what you’re insinuating, but I’m not a violent person.” She whispered then walked out of the room. I stayed a bit longer then left. I saw Veronica and she came up to me with a box.

“Here, I got this.” She said with a smile. I smiled and took the box from her, I opened it.

“It’s perfect V.” I smiled, closed the box and hugged her. Archie walked back into the waiting room and I smiled walking up to him.

“For your dad, when he wakes up, which he will very very soon.” I said handing him the box. He opened it and smiled.

“Just to tie him over until we find his.” I smiled and he chuckled a bit.

“When did you even go to Barnaby’s?” He asked.

“I didn’t, I asked Veronica to use her shopping skills and she got it for me, is that cheating?” Ii asked wrapping my arms around him.

“You are the best girlfriend ever. And I do not deserve you.” He said hugging me back.

“Why do you say that?” I asked slightly confused.

“Y/N/N, can I, uh Can I tell you about this This thing that happened at Pop’s? With my dad?” He asked and I nodded.

“Of course Arch.” I smiled. Before Achie could say anything back Jughead and Betty came in with Pop Tate holding loads of food.

“Who’s hungry? We’ve got burgers and fries and onion rings.” Everyone got excited while the staff tried to tell them we can’t have food in here. The five of us grabbed some food and went into the cafeteria. I sat next to Archie, Betty and Jughead sat together, and Veronica sat at the end of the table.

“Your dad would be so proud of you, Arch.” I said rubbing his back.

“Yeah, you’ve really been just a rock-star god through all of this.” Jug said with a smile. Archie didn’t smile though he just had a stone face.

“Archie What is it? Talk to us. Maybe we can help.” I said worried about what was going through my boyfriend’s head. He sighed and looked at us.

“Guys, there’s something I haven’t told you, ‘cause I’m So I’m so ashamed. After the guy fired, I should’ve rushed to my dad straight away. Or I should’ve tackled the guy, but I was I was paralyzed. I didn’t move, not even when the guy walked up to me, and he held his gun to my head. And I just closed my eyes, I don’t know how long. Long enough for the guy to have taken my dad’s wallet, I guess. But I didn’t open them until I heard the bell. Pop’s bell. Which meant he was gone.” He said getting choked up, holding back tears.

“There was nothing else you could have done!” Betty said.

“That’s not true, Betty. I could have done anything to comfort my dad, to get the gun away from the guy. I was a coward! And now, me and my dad were witnesses, Pop Tate too. This guy may have my dad’s wallet, all his information.” Archie paused and I warped my arm around him.

“What if he comes back?” We all looked at him shocked. None of us knew what to say and when we didn’t say anything Archie got up and went to go see his dad.

Our parents had gone home since it was getting late and we stayed because we wanted to be there for Archie and Mr. Andrews. About half an hour later Archie came out and told us that Fred was awake. He said he was getting out soon and that we should all go home. I tried to fight him on it but all of us were so tired so me and Veronica went home.

Veronica and I walked into our apartment and I locked the door behind us. We both started walking to our rooms when our mom called us. We both looked up and saw our dad sitting at the head of the table and our mom standing next to him in the dark.

“I came home early to surprise you both. And imagine my surprise when you two weren’t here to greet me.” Our father said.

“And Y/N drank your Cristal.” Out mother added with a slight smirk.

“So disrespectful. Not like you at all, mija.” My father said shaking he head a bit in disappointment.

“I’ve changed daddy, the real question is have you?” I asked as innocent as a I could.

“Not so much that I still don’t want a kiss hello from my daughters.” Veronica practically ran to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek happily. I walked over and kissed his cheek with fake sweetness. Veronica walked back to her room and I started to make my way to mine but stopped and turned around.

“By the way, in case either of you were wondering, Mr. Andrews woke up. He’s going to make it. I know we’re all really happy about that.” I said with some sarcasm. My parents looked slightly shocked and I walked off to my room to turn in for the night.
