I'm OBSESSED with every fanfic in with Harry has a completely different hair color than black, to the point no one with eyes would actually associate him with James or Lily.

My favorite variant of that is the most horrendous Neon Bubblegum pink, it goes well with green eyes and i love the color.

Said Harry is usually crazy, in my head at least.

I don't think it would be challenging to make an image generator that "respects copyright" (you could train it on public domain art and photos but you could also license massive libraries of stock photos and TV shows and book/album covers etc. from the media companies that hold the rights to them) and I think the existence of such a generator would not lead people currently mad about AI to suddenly be cool with it because it's really not about copyright.

Microfic May: Day Five

Hang - Dronarry (157 words)

Ron’s shoes are kicked off inside the door, scarlet robes thrown at the wall in a hope that they’ll miraculously hang themselves.

From upstairs, the cadence of the shower changes as someone moves beneath it.

No. Not someone.

Some… two.

His shirt is next, lost halfway up the stairs as he trips himself closer, whilst his trousers end up draped on the bannister. He’s just in his pants when he pushes the bathroom door open, half-hard and thanking the Gods for an early finish.

They don’t notice him at first, too wrapped up in each other. Harry is gasping, breathy and loud over the top of the water fall. Head thrown back, eyes screwed shut, fingers tightening in the shock of silver-bright hair. He’s close, Ron can tell.

Draco’s on his knees, looking as utterly perfect as usual even with his mouth full. Especially with his mouth full.

Harry’s eyes snap open. “Ron.”

Ron steps straight in.

Oh I SO want a fic for this. I think it could work if Harry figures out a little earlier that Draco is the true Master of the Elder Wand and then Voldemort reads his mind so he figures it out too and Harry senses him figuring it out and is like 'oh no draco's going to die that's a horrible terrible thing that can never happen...just because then voldemort would get the elder wand and also for general humanitarian reasons obviously not because i like him or anything.'

So the whole escape sequence goes down pretty much the same way except Harry grabs Draco and takes him with them - as their prisoner (he is a Death Eater after all and can't be trusted). They drop the other rescued people off at Shell Cottage but don't take Draco there since he's not to be trusted. And now they've got a MASSIVE problem. Because what do they DO with him? Harry's still operating under the assumption he would need to kill Draco to get mastery of the Elder Wand and just taking him prisoner isn't enough, plus Voldemort definitely believes that so they can't just leave him! (Ron rolls his eyes in disgust). Meanwhile, Draco has no idea why they've taken him prisoner but once it becomes clear they aren't immediately killing him he's desperate for them to let him go so Voldemort doesn't think he has defected and murder his family as punishment. Also, he's deeply relieved to see Harry and co alive and well though he'd NEVER admit it.

They try keeping him under control in various ways, including the Imperius Curse but Harry absolutely hates doing it. Gradually a grudging truce is reached. They even get some useful information out of Draco about Bellatrix and her vault and what might be in there...and the latest security measures in place under Voldemort's rule. And what do you know? One thing leads to another and somehow they're breaking into Gringotts together and stealing a dragon. And somehow when Draco gets the chance to turn on them later he doesn't. He even gets to destroy a Horcrux in the Room of Hidden Things.

By that point Harry's ready to give Draco's wand back but decides against it since he really does need it seeing as his got lost and it does feel strangely friendly in his hand - increasingly so, in fact. And hey wait a minute. Maybe defeating someone in battle ISN'T the only way you can win control of a wand. Could this be crazy enough to work? And tldr Harry still defeats Voldemort with the powers of true love and drarry except this time he's more aware of it.

Part 11 - Forgotten

Malfoy’s shouting at an aide again.

“-Potter’s forgotten more magical theory since we arrived five minutes ago than you’ve ever learned in your entire sorry life-”

“Not going to ask for help again this time?”

“Mm?” Harry’s not paying much attention to Ron. Hard to, with Malfoy really in his element like this.

Ron sounds amused. “Never mind. You’d think this lot would want to cooperate considering they’re the ones getting cursed on the reg.”

Harry grunts. “These are the same idiots who thought it was both sensible and necessary to create a Pureblood Cultural Preservation Society and then used it to lobby for some of Grindelwald’s greatest blood supremacy hits.”

“-certainly hope you’re not suggesting that there may be an issue due to his Muggle lineage? Because that would be a breach of the Equality Act 2004, Section 5, Subclause 32A-”

“Oh my God, he just got spit right on that guy's face.” Harry was a bit breathless.

Ron laughs. “You’re absolutely fucked, mate.”
