It’s not his fault - really, Tony hadn’t expected him to make it at all. It’s been snowing all morning, thick and heavy, and Tony barely managed to make it here from his apartment three blocks away. Steve’s far enough to drive.

But it’s Steve, so of course he shows up anyway, cheeks as red as hot coals and shivering. “Jesus,” Tony says when he sees him, leaping up to brush the snow from Steve’s face and hair. “Did you walk here?”

Steve grins at him, teeth chattering. “Roads were - too bad to drive,” he says, “But I wasn’t going to miss our first date.”
