I guess the bots were like…hibernating through the winter because I had a really blissful period of no mysterious new followers, and now they’re back in droves.

I just started watching Transformers Earthspark and I’m currently on episode 2.

And not gonna lie it’s pretty great. I was really worried it wasn’t going to be all that great because most of the new tf series have been real sucky lately.

The artstyle of the show is a lot better once your watching a whole episode and not just trailers. The way the explosions are animated is fantastic. The story line seems to be going well and It’s really interesting that Megatron is not only good now but has a human friend which is really cool. It was a bit shocking to hear such different voices for some characters but you get used to it quick. The way Optimus’ voice actor portrayed him unique like TFA, it’s not a forced impression like the trilogy series.

Overall I’m really liking earthspark and plan to make fanart soon.

Lawker also known as 14WK3R

My cyberpunk oc from my dnd group.

He’s basically a robot that the police force now use to enforce stability in a corporate controlled world. The police are mostly for hire though and are quite corrupt. 14WK3R was hired to shut down a robbery at a rich engineer’s house.

But one of robbers grabbed a random gadget and shot him with it. The device scrabbled his sensor unit and processor, within that moment he was hit repeatedly with a metal bat. The combined contact and confusion scrambled his coding. So he now has gained full sentience instead of false programming that most bots are programmed with for communication.

After a failed mission he was returned to the police force. He now struggles with his new found sentience, he is greatly concerned with the situation as police bots are created to serve and that only. He is forced to act as a robot like the rest as he is worried that if his secret sentience was found out, he would be sent to be scrapped. As police bots are programmed without sentience so that emotions and morals won’t influence their actions.

He is now trying to perform at his best despite his internal conflict, so that if he is found out, his high reputation will save him and he won’t be shut down. Although all these patrols aren’t quite getting him anywhere. Until he picks up radio chatter of a murder so he assigns himself to case. Upon arrival he finds out that he isn’t the only one who wants to solve it. As there are other people who’ve been ‘assigned’ or hired to track down the murderer. As the body shows signs of being part of an on going trend from someone called the Doll Maker Murderer. So he is now trying his best to be a detective and solve the case along with three others. He quickly realizes it won’t be easy as he is forced to against his previous programming to arrest the criminals helping him and take charge.

Alrighty folks, new year new DCA server!

Okay so we’ve seen a lot of lonely/socially awkward/new DCA fans looking for a place to talk to others and me and @flinxypie who kindly helped build this server are hoping this could be a fun place where we can coax each other out of our shells or at least spend a little while going pssppssppssssp with cat treats in an attempt to lure each other out from under the fandom sofa. The chat’s name is as of yet undecided (to be confirmed once poll results are in) but don’t let that stop you from joining along if you’re interested!

This is a place to make friends where we embrace our awkwardness, our loneliness, and maybe we do it scared but we do it anyway (don’t worry, you’re in good company!). We don’t want to put anyone up on a pedestal out of other people’s reach or have fandom in general be a big competition or grind to get “famous” or stay “relevant”, just a fun space where we’re all equally silly little guys and get to talk about fun things we collectively like and have fun doing it at our own pace.

We plan on doing throwback days for older art, we have channels where you can adopt or be adopted by new friends (a little attention seeking is good and fine actually if you’re willing to give as good as you get) or if all words are failing you you can talk in meows or pictures or one word sentences in one of our quiet channels if you wish (fun fact: there are a surprising number of house cats and cryptids in the DCA fandom). Be a part of some silly fun art/writing trades, magmas or themed art/reblog chains and let’s all draw ourselves with our AU versions or do picrews (We also want to bring back the DCA sleepovers and interaction chains because those looked fun!) along with a bunch more stuff we likely haven’t thought of yet!
