when I taste my own cooking I fall in love with myself
as i get older, i realize more and more that talking is truly pointless
I wait patiently, he's gonna notice me. You are the one I have been waiting for. I've waited my whole life. I've been sleeping so long in a twenty year dark night, and now I see daylight. He better lock it down or I won't stick around 'cause good ones never wait. If this is the long haul, how'd we get here so soon? I wait by the door like I'm just a kid. Were you waiting at our old spot? Now I'm waiting by the phone. Like waiting for a bus that never shows, you just start walking on. Now I just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time. Should've known it was a matter of time. I died on the altar waiting for the proof. Still alive, killing time at the cemetery. I just sit here and wait, grieving for the living. I won't confess that I waited, but I let the lamp burn. The woman who sits by the window has turned out the light. Even statues crumble if they're made to wait.
when kafka said ‘you wouldn’t believe the kind of person I could become if you wanted it’ and when brontë said ‘if you ever looked at me with what I know is in you, I would be your slave’ and when Sartre said ‘if I’ve got to suffer it may as well be at your hands’

your only job on this earth is to be so intrinsically yourself that the right people gravitate toward you and the wrong people move out of your way
I need to be babied, for science. serious inquiries only freaks

Appreciation post with every single Taylor Room I've done so far! 💛💜❤️🩵🩷🩶🤎💙🤍
The Taylor Swift Room and the Reputation Room won't be done until we have their Taylor's Version re-release (it would only be fair!).
Sometimes you need to read something twice to get it. You might need to watch a movie three times to understand it. You might have to have that album on repeat for a week until the lyrics make any sense. You're allowed to engage with it and can keep engaging with it until it means something to you. People will see a painting at a museum and laugh about not getting what the big deal is but like you can come back, you can see it at another time, and maybe that next time it'll be different for you. I'm of the belief the "media literacy crisis" would solve itself if more people just sat down and did it again. Watched, read, played, listened, etc like I don't think people are getting more ignorant necessarily I just think we're not glorifying personally replaying things nearly as much as we should be.
