Hey there, I just want to say, I really admire your undying love for Apritello in the 2012 show. A fandom as crazy as this needs your positivity on the pairing more than ever now that the shows over.

As for my question, feel free not to answer,

Do you think Apritello was in any way abusive/toxic in the show looking back? I don’t think this myself at all, I just want to know your opinion on this claim because I trust your opinion.

If you want some actual advice from someone who had a really hard time back when Apritello was a new thing and all these people were saying all sorts of things about April and Donnie and anyone who shipped them together to the point where I had to stop looking in the tags so I wouldn’t get deppressed or anxious... Try not to waste your time on this XD If you enjoy Apritello, find people who also enjoy Apritello and just freaking enjoy Apritello. 

But to answer your question on whether I think Apritello was abusive, here’s my answer, hold on to your hats: NO.

For me, one of the most adorable things in Apritello is Donnie's thoughtfulness. Oh my Shell, He becomes so contactable when he calms or consoles April🥺💖💖💘💕 (As far as I can see, April doesn't mind this at all)

And in these moments, she hugged Donnie herself💓💓💞💞❤❤❤ She trusts him so so much!💝💕💖

And when she hugs Donnie with joy, it's becomes the cutest thing I've ever seen😍😍😍💗❣️💕💗

Am I the only one who thinks that the romance in the 2012 show wasn’t as bad as people say it was? Like I know it had problems, but I’m pretty certain it’s not as god awful as people say it is.

Have you ever thought about posting that post about Apritello not being toxic/abusive at all? I know the reason you said you wouldn’t was because you didn’t want to cause problems, but imo your analysis/interpretations are hardly ever wrong, and you pretty much know what your talking about with this topic.

Well thank you very much, but the post I made was less about Apritello specifically and more about people mislabeling things as abusive overall. It was more of a rant on my part. It was one part sharing my own abuse story and one part condemning people who see some thing they don’t like and then label it abusive and because of that, actual abuse isn’t taken as seriously as it should be. 

If you would still like to read it, let me know and I can probably rework it a little bit to include a deeper analysis about Apritello specifically.
