WHO HERE THINKS THAT WE SHOULD'VE GOTTEN MORE ANNABETH AND POSEIDON MOMENTS? You know how Athena disapproves of and threatened Percy? Well………….DO THAT WITH POSEIDON AND ANNABETH! Let them meet. Let Annabeth squirm. Let Poseidon smile, but let it not quite reach his suddenly cold green eyes. Let him size her up, and let her be found wanting. LET HIM SILENTLY THREATEN HER NOT TO HIT PERCY AGAIN! Let him disapprove of Annabeth's nickname for him! Let Percy defend it, defend Annabeth from Poseidon! Let Poseidon tell Percy that if things don't work out (in a way that he implies that he hopes it doesn't work out) that he can hook up with a sea nymph or naiad or something! I just feel like this was SUCH a missed opportunity. To show that Poseidon loves Percy and thinks that he can do better than a plain daughter of Athena! (At least Poseidon thinks so).
Can someone write this, please? I would, but I already have something else going on.
I wish Rick would do this in the show.

The entire Fandom needs to listen to this:
Percy having a thing for Rachel was so absolutely deserved like he should have been head over heels for her. Here's why:
First meeting? Runs her through with Riptide, and where anyone would have spent the whole time yelling and arguing, Rachel quickly gauged the situation, helped Percy hide, deviated the skeletons from their orignal path all at the same time.
Percy is so awed and he should be and Rick Riordan doesn't do justice to the whole thing.
It ends on Percy saying he owes her one, almost an indication that they would meet again.
Yet Percy is terrified of running into Rachel again because he isn't sure if he could answer all her questions, most definitely because he doesn't want to drag her into the whole thing. So much so that when he sees her at Goode, he calls her "my redheaded nightmare " .
Not only has he thought of her since they last met, but he may or may not have dreamed about her, not to mention he remembered her full name after listening just once.
When he does meet her again she yet again warns him about monsters hence saving both of them.
The most important thing is Percy, who all his life has been judged blamed ridiculed, and mocked is for the very first time understood so instantaneously by Rachel. She who has been put in mortal danger every single time she meets him doesn't blame him, doesn't judge him for it, and openly takes the blame for the burning school. Even Annabeth's first response to seeing the smoke is blaming Percy despite being around him and knowing well enough for 3 years; she chooses to blame him as if she doesn't know that it's never Percy's fault. Yet Rachel, someone who he has met only twice and that too for meager few minutes, understands him and his situation so well.
All the people in the Fandom ask yourself this: Will Percy Jackson not for all that he is be absolutely head over heels and in awe of someone like that?
He can barely give her any answers at the moment, but she agrees to a death quest to help him save the world.
Throws a literal hairbrush at the Titan King and stands her ground.
Stays by him and comforts him through his depressive thoughts about dying due to the prophecy.
Falls in love with him despite knowing he has little time left.
Does her best to help him while still keeping his mind off from spiraling into dark thoughts.
Rides a literal helicopter mid-apocalypse to get to him just to warn him of the dangers?
Percy would be so absolutely over the moon in love with Rachel, were Uncle Rick not so fixated on Percabeth agenda.
The last bit is for toxic Annabeth stans:
Rachel is a genius too.
She is ambidextrous and can draw with both hands and legs; probably has exceptional memory, and her composure and quick thinking are on par with Percy himself.
I hate bringing this to looks, but I will if I get to shut up toxic fans. Annabeth is certainly beautiful, and her grey eyes are quite unique, but Rachel is the most underrated and definitely the most beautiful out of all Percy Jackson females.
The woman literally won genetic lottery with red hair and green eyes, and the only reason Uncle Rick doesn't rave about her beauty is to not make Annabeth insecure.
Also, for those overly concerned about the Oracle celibacy thing, I will address that in my next post and how it's not a problem at all. (Now posted link is here:

In which scenes do you think they should have given Klaus and Hayley a kissing scene?
Let's say we disregard the entirety of season 1, let the whole Elijah thing blow over.
Firstly, in season 2, when Klaus is consoling her after explaining the realities of being a hybrid, in the real moments are vibrant scene or even when he takes her out to kill witches, they could have given us a forehead touch in the for the former and a kiss for the latter part.[Both consumed by bloodlust mostly Hayley as Klaus can control it, she accidentally(definitely intentionally while acting on her true desires) kisses Klaus and he is so enamored he can't help but reciprocate.
I trust you, more than you know scene should have definitely evolved into a kiss. Klaus can't help the jealousy and the feeling of fear that arises at the thought of her marrying Jackson (yes, yes, he is also worried about Hope's existence being revealed, but there's obviously more) and after hearing Hayley's words he wants to convey to her that he does trust her and care for her so yeah a kiss there for sure.
In season 3, Hayley turns back and is fighting Klaus but breaks down after seeing Hope and then hugs her? I think that scene should have also had Klaus hugging them both, maybe to symbolise his apology or other but not a kiss, but at least a hug.
After he saves her from Lucien, we really need a scene where he hugs her, and then she kisses him because she needs to feel that he is real and they are both alright. Klaus kisses her back equally fervently to assure her that she is safe as she is both afraid for Klaus's life and her own so he can feel her fear and relief now that Lucien's dead. That should have definitely been added. (So many missed opportunities for the building up to probably the most compatible and perfect couple you would think they didn't do it just to not brutally destroy the previous Klaus or Hayley ships. Oh shit that's exactly why)
When they are alone in the wood clearing, and he says, "I have given you a thousand reasons to abandon me, but you haven't yet, thank you?" A kiss would have gone really well with that.
Maybe a scene where Hayley shows off her karaoke skills, and Klaus is so amazed he kisses her? That would have been perfect.
When he goes to Marcel to sacrifice himself for Hope, Hayley and his family, a parting kiss
When Klaus, Hayley and Hope unite and Klaus and Hayley see each other's struggles they can't help but kiss because Hayley has missed Klaus's presence, his words, his protection and Klaus has missed his little wolf and littlest wolf dearly, moreover Klaus can't help but marvel at her strength each time for whenever he thinks this might just break my little wolf she perseveres through it and he has been wanting to kiss her since they last parted and as she was one of the few who broke him out the want only doubled.
A lots of kisses during that time cause two people don't go to such lengths for each other if they don't love one another like crazy.
When he has to leave with the hollow's essence, a sorrowful but desperate kiss. Yet again, parting ways and this just might be permanent.
I like to think Hayley gave him individual visits to check on him when Hope was grown enough and was in school and they kissed and everything.
Lastly when Klaus saves her from Greta, the Hollow's defeated and its all good for the rest of them, after Hope's taken back, passionate kissing and make out scene that results into another miracle baby is exactly what we deserved. [This is what I believe would have actually happened if the writers weren't bloody fools and also so I don't wallow in misery at the unfairness of it all for both of them]
As it should be. And who's to say they had a choice in the first place.
Some character: "Oh, you need the pegasi for your very important quest to save Hera? Can't do. The Savior of Olympus himself is missing, so it's all hands on deck, really, so we will leave this minor task to you . And frankly, Blackjack's rallied all the Pegasi to look for "Boss," as he calls Percy so you will have no luck there."
Like, I don't think we talk about Blackjack or Ms. O Leary's situation when Percy's missing. They must be so sad, panicked, and feeling alone like any animal without its caretaker.
But I headcanon that Blackjack rallied all the Pegasi even 'Pegasus' himself to look for Percy while all the sea creatures and nymphs, naiads were also naturally looking for their Sea Prince. [Maybe on Poseidon's order but I think he was already being split between two halves of his personality when Percy went missing so the sea creatures are doing this for Percy just cause as he is very kind to them and always helps around. ]
Not to mention, Grover would obviously have all the nature spirits looking to find Percy as well.
We totally deserved a Percy-Blackjack-Ms. O Leary reunion scene and of course Percy Grover one as well.
I really love the fact that Camp Half-Blood didn't give Jason, Piper, and Leo Pegasi for their quest in The Lost Hero, despite the fact that they didn't really have an alternative for air transportation at this point in time, and only had four days to save Hera, solely because they used the pegasi to search for Percy.
Like, priorities were set, and Hera was not on the top of that list.
I've always wondered...
What if Percy was a Girl?
I've always been thinking of this but I just wondered.
Like instead of Perseus her name would be Andromeda Jackson.
Full name: Andromeda Rhea Jackson
Andy Jackson, Daughter of Posiden
How would everything look of Percy was female?
I've always wondered this.
Like everything stays the same Except Percy is Female named Andy Jackson
Pretty sure I have seen a dozen fanfics that go like that. Personally, I'm not a fan of gendebending, but it's a popular concept.
Several things come to mind, the obvious things.
Remember how Percy was gravely underestimated at the start? I think it would be a bit more prevalent here. I am not implying that certain characters are more misogynistic, it's more along the lines of not putting a young girl in even more danger.
I think more characters would be prone to sympathizing with a female Percy. Luke mainly, Annabeth too, other characters like Thalia, Jason to name a few.
The dynamic with Hunters and Amazons would be completely different. And a female Percy would drill in their heads the grave consequences of blind hatred of men and misandry and coming from a female, it would be more of a wake up call than anything else.
Percy and Zoe dynamic would have been even more interesting and closer than one in the books, albeit less meaningful since Zoe wouldn't be overcoming her stigma about men.
I think certain characters like Nico, Rachel, and Annabeth, who all have/had a crush on Percy, will explore a slightly different dynamic or an even more intimate one with female Percy. Nico might also not feel as disgraced or shamed by his own righteous feelings towards Percy.
Certain characters like Leo or Piper might be attracted to female!Percy (which they were originally not cause self explanatory).
The not so obvious things but more important things: (trauma coming your way)
Poseidon would be more protective and slightly more guilty if female!Percy ends up resembling Sally more. Cause now the sea god knows not only did he abandon his queen among mortals, he also abandoned his little princess, his only mortal daughter.
(Probably similar dynamics with Seafam. Especially Triton and Amphitrite)
Now, we come to Gabe. We know what a despicable human scum he is to Sally but a female!Percy, a young girl? Alone with Gabe and his friends? Since 6 years of age? I think we can all imagine the horrors.
Think of how all firstborn children of the big three, the direct results of oathbreaking, would then be female. All women. A new era of female led army of demigods, directly challenging certain misogynistic history of the Olympians. (Thalia, Andromeda(female!Percy, Bianca).
Think of how Zeus(other Olympians, too), with his unending ego and despicable nature, will fall at last at the hands of women. After how he uses women, as some sort of tool and a means of venting, a fitting end for him.
I may not like gender bending, but this has its merits as it becomes not only about changing oppressive ways of the Olympian Gods but also about defying patriarchy.
It would make some lovely additions to the essence of the series itself so it's not a bad idea at all.
These are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. Will reblog if I remember more. But anyway, I'm pretty sure the fandom will be filling this up with headcanons anyway.
Blog A: Percy needs therapy
Rebloggers: Yes, we absolutely agree. Give Percy therapy.
Me, a concerned individual: Does that mean we are going to stop trauma dumping on Percy in fics and actually start writing fully wholesome fics?
Everyone in the fandom: WE DON'T DO THAT HERE.
Me: Yup, that's about what I expected.
It's hilarious how we who love and stan Percy the most are the first to give the poor boy more trauma in our fics.
No, seriously, more wholesome fics in 2025, please.
ive seen a couple ppl talk about how crazy it is that percys never cried after everything he’s put through and tho i like the idea that since he’s the narrator to his story he just skips over that part i also just think like could you imagine how numb you’d be after all the shit
like that boy had been bullied and abused his whole like at this point he probably just internalizes it and then sits at the bottom of the ocean every once and a while and just vibes like the amount of times i would have cried is like every six pages but he just sits there and is like “well shit oh well” like he could loose a leg and just think “welp😐- damn that’s gonna be annoying to annabeth😐” like WHAt
This, this is the problem , with the writing, with the fandom, with shipping stans. I don't care how nostalgic you feel about certain characters and their relationships, if it's at the expense of one of the individuals involved, it's a toxic and terrible situation.
And say what you will, but it's always Percy who has to compromise, adjust, and temper himself for everyone else; always. For the Gods, for his supposed friends, for his so-called girlfriend. This is not a recent issue , but new books have made it more apparent .
Grover is or used to be the character that did everything for Percy, and Percy always went above and beyond himself, more than anyone can count. They have a freaking empathy link, and now you are telling me they are having such terrible misunderstandings and downright toxic behavior on Grover's part. Annabeth isn't much better either. I need to know what Rick's on. Forget about anybody else, somebody get Percy Jackson out of there. Poseidon should take him away to Atlantis to relax for a long time, and he would definitely actually do that if Rick wasn't writing the books brainless and amnesiac.
I swear everyone, the gods, the Camps, Grover, and Annabeth, will all come begging and pleading once he finally snaps and blows them all off. But Percy would never, he's too good, too understanding, too traumatized to do it. But everyone has a limit, and his has almost run out. (Somebody, please write this.)
As I've mentioned a few times times, one of the actual interesting things Riordan is doing in this new series is mentioning Percy's obvious rage issues and then not actually doing anything with it other than making Percy swallow the anger down so he stays Nice and Controlled at all times.
Which, if we were dealing with pre-Disney+ show deal RR, could be a great character arc over the course of the series where Percy learns to actually deal with his anger and trauma while he's actively being triggered by petty godly bullshit. But Wrath made it pretty clear he's okay with letting Percy eat shit emotionally as long as everyone is one big happy team in the end and we're Therapy Speaking ourselves into the sunset, so I don't think that's happening.
Wrath sets up a conflict between Grover and Percy that's pretty simple: Grover eats a magical thing he's specifically told not eat and causes chaos that puts Percy's quest at risk. Reminder, these stupid quests are so Percy can get into college and Grover knows this. Percy gets angry at Grover; so angry Annabeth can see it and shoos him out of the room so he doesn't explode. And then he just... tries to stop being angry, assumes Grover means well, and carries on pretending it's not Grover's fault while being resentful because it's totally Grover's fucking fault.
Eventually, we get a scene where Grover attempts to make things right by putting himself into danger and Percy freaks out because, duh, he doesn't want his friends to get hurt. Grover then attempts to apologize by admitting he maybe sorta kinda subconsciously wanted to sabotage things. And it's here where we run in to trouble.
Please notice that Percy immediately tries to reassure him that he's not responsible despite Grover acknowledging it. Then we get the good ol' Grover tears and looking like a poor bullied baby before he confesses to sabotaging his best friend's quest because he doesn't want to be left behind. And with that, all of Percy's anger is gone because how can you be mad at your friend for that?
Uh, pretty fucking easy, especially if my idiot satyr friend knows exactly what the consequences of failing the quest is (forget the college letters; Percy is under the assumption that Hecate will unmake him if he fucks up) AND said idiot frequently has gone MONTHS without seeing me because of his job and, in fact, several months from now will be halfway across the country anyway helping Apollo with some different quest bullshit!!!!
I digress.
Suddenly, Percy is the bad guy for being mad at Grover. And this continues with the next part of the conversation.
How hard it's been on him?????
Percy Jackson, you are constantly blowing literal gaskets because of the stress you are under, and you're worried about how hard college applications has been on GROVER???????
"I'm the one who should be apologizing. I should have been thinking about how you felt rather than stressing about getting into college."
like
are you kidding me here rick
are you FUCKING kidding me
PERCY needs to APOLOGIZE to GROVER for PRIORITIZING COLLEGE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
And then Grover makes a joke about Percy's shitty gpa because dunking on Percy in an emotional conversation is totally fine because his emotions don't actually matter to any of his friends. He'll get over it! He's Percy, duh. He's not a ticking time bomb of resentment full of grudges whatsoever.
I think we're supposed to see this as Percy maturing and being forgiving, but is he? He doesn't tell Grover he forgives him. Percy's the one apologizing in the end because he's been guilted into feeling bad that Grover is sad/upset and put himself in danger. The conflict doesn't actually get resolved because Percy brushes it aside; it doesn't matter any more because Grover is sad and must be reassured. No one's going to learn anything from this because there have been no consequences. Grover's gonna do some dumb shit again, Percy's gonna get mad at him, Grover will cry and make up a sad sack excuse, and Percy will stop being angry because Grover's his bestie and what else is he supposed to do?
(This could be a good character arc about how Percy's fatal flaw makes him have a really messed up view of friendships and the meaning of loyalty, but again, we will be denied.)
And for the record, just because your friends have compelling reasons for their shitty actions doesn't make them any less shitty. It doesn't mean they shouldn't apologize for their fuck ups or negate the hurt they caused you. Forgiveness needs to be earned, not manipulated out of you through tears and reckless actions.
Grover can get fucked. I hate this fucking character.

I don't have words for this dear. I died gushing over this. It might quite possibly be the nicest thing that's happened to me. I swear you are turning me emotional. When I find you Kris, when I find you. As soon as I get someone to resurrect me, that is. It's not like death can keep me anywhere.
But seriously, this is so awesome. Which is to say you are so awesome. I am not even sorry that Percy was bullied into the pink cake mission.

Happy Valentines Day to you too, dear @forgechildofheph !!!

This has no relation to sexual intimacy or romantic scenes. Which of these ships understood each other the best and worked well together [when they tried to]. Just curious about what ship dynamics work the best (for my current book).
