The reason why RTD's first era on DW was so good is because he was a fan that got to write the show presenting it to a hole of new people

That's why now we need new writers on Doctor Who, writers that got to know the show by the 2005 series and now want to tell their stories in the show, not the people who wrote it then and are still writing now because they can't let it go of their attachment for the piece of media they created
