This one hits pretty close to home for me. When my wife installed monitoring cameras in the house, she didn’t tell me about them at first. That’s how she caught me trying on her things and masturbating with her sweaters. Why I have hatred for “male subs”.

Men are generally a disappointment, men who consider themselves “submissives” included.

A combination of observational and firsthand experience has made me develop a strong dislike of “male subs.”

They reveal themselves to be as entitled, shallow, superficial, and sexist as any average man.

“Male subs” badger women online, insisting on being “dominated” in accordance to their specific “female domination” fantasies, wanting to direct scenes/play that is not supposed to be about them.

If you don’t play the part of “dominant woman” that they want (there are different kinds of “dominant woman” tropes/types different subs focus their fantasies on), and don’t give into their specific fetishes and kinks, their guise of groveling submission drops and they aggressively lash out.

“Male subs” can go from calling you a “Goddess” and insisting on “worshiping” you to rudely calling you a fat, ugly, cow because you don’t want to conform to their expectations.

Like how men go from being complimentary to angry when they holler at women on the street and women ignore them, so too do many “male subs” react – switching from beggingly submissive to verbally abusive (or disengaged) – when women don’t play out their femdom fantasies.

It’s so typical of men to get angry when women don’t give them what they want.

For the vast majority of these “male subs”, about 99%, their interest in femdom is extremely superficial and entirely sexual. There is no genuine political consciousness involved in their claims to want to “worship” and “respect” women, or “submit” themselves to women.

My realizing how apolitical male interest in femdom typically is, and how these men exhibit the same sort of sexual entitlement common in the general male populace, disillusioned and embittered me. Years ago, I had the naïve initial expectation that femdom would be an “empowering” experience. This expectation was eventually shattered by the reality that the “male subs” I was interacting with were as piggish and degrading as any other man, just in a seemingly alternate form.

It seems clear and obvious to me now, but back then my naïve (now laughable) expectations gave me hope that perhaps femdom men would have a heightened or enlightened “pro-feminist” consciousness, but the truth of the matter is – an obvious truth to me now after my experiences, is that what gets a person off doesn’t necessarily correlate with their official political-ideological beliefs. I spoke with a femdom male sub, for example, who bluntly admitted to being anti-feminist. In fact, the attitudes and behaviors of many “male subs” can be described as “anti-feminist.”

I’ve stumbled across male sub blogs featuring foot fetish photos of female minors (disgusting and pedophilic). “Male subs” whose obsession with fragmented “worship” of specific female body parts is more creepy than endearing and is not indicative of any “respect” for women but rather the sexual objectification of them. “Male subs” who, some might say ironically, exhibit an acute understanding of real female oppression in their supposedly ‘apolitical’ sissified and feminized embracing of the fashions, styles, and behaviors actual patriarchy grooms women and girls for.

Being harassed by these horny, loose, slobs, – pestering me to “dominate” them, and directing me on how to “dominate” them, revealed a common trend amongst male subs of “topping from the bottom.” They claim the submissive position but their male socialization, which turns them into entitled snobs who insist and badger women to fulfill their sexual ideals and fantasies, always shows itself.

Industry femdom porn is no better*. The majority of porn consumers are male, femdom porn is produced, directed, and casted for primarily a male audience. Femdom porn pages are designed to entice an assumed male viewer, the casting for femdom porn suits the heterosexual and bisexual male gaze very well: the female porn performers paid to act as “dommes” are typically conventionally attractive, slim, leggy, busty, youthful looking or young adult, feminine women in tight form-fitting latex, leather, corsets, lingerie, tights, and high heels while nearly all the male subs are average looking, overweight, aged, and/or ugly. This is so that the male viewer can perceive the male sub(s) in these femdom porn scenes as a self-insert for himself.

So many of these “male subs” want to “worship” a gorgeous gender-conforming (i.e.: feminine) Goddess™ but don’t even want to maintain their appearance and have only feigned, conditional, humility. “Femdom” really is an act for them and just another easy way to get off.  

After a few years exploring and experimenting with the femdom fetish subculture, I have come away with strong contempt for “male subs” and I am by default skeptical and hostile towards them.
