No, I’m not talking about screaming or freezing in one spot and pissing yourself. I’m talking about the weirder, more specific-to-only-humans fear reactions.

Idk how many of you have watched people play horror video games, but a surprising amount of people start narrating what’s going on in a sing-song voice.

this goncharov thing is very funny to me SPECIFICALLY because when Welcome to Night Vale first came out I spent like three solid months thinking tumblr was doing THIS EXACT THING. i thought they made up a fuckin weird fake podcast and were making fake fan posts as a meme. in my DEFENSE… everything a fan might post about Night Vale sounds extra made up, like. it felt like tumblr was fucking with me. it wasn’t until FACEBOOK friends mentioned it that i thought “oh my god it exists”

‘the world ends with you’ is a great title because it makes it sound like the world is set to end and it’s because of you, oh no this game is gonna be edgy. but no actually that phrase just means ‘your world begins and ends with you; it’s only as big as you’re willing to expand your horizons. so go out there and meet new people :).’ the title of the game is actually the wholesome moral of the story that gets namedropped about halfway through by a friendly character. the kicker is that the game IS edgy and the world IS heading towards destruction and you ARE unwittingly playing a part in it but that’s just a coincidence. it’s not related to the title actually
