One half says Brian, Freddie, John and Roger
And the other half says Gwilym, Rami, Joe and Ben
that moment in the one vision video where roger sings his suggestion for the line and he knows full well that it doesn’t fit but he looks up at freddie with heart eyes knowing that his line is going to make freddie smile and giggle so it’s worth the teasing that comes after, rb if you agree
i mean, yes i am sure slaxl is not real, but you gotta admit that storming out of your bestie’s wedding on the crucial yes-moment to drop an heart-wrenching guitar solo naked in the desert, while said bestie’s bandana is tied to your belt and flowing dramatically with the wind is not exactly the best way to keep me from shipping it
When i defend lgbt rights and someone goes ‘are you gay or something’
Ain’t taking no chances
has this been made yet??
The Queen fandom is slowly dying, don’t lie you know it is, and it hurts so bad because the Queen fandom is the only fandom I have really felt a part of. Like, I’ve been in other fandoms but I’ve never really felt like I’ve belonged or was important in them and in the Queen fandom I feel like I’ve finally found my place. I don’t know what I’m going to do when it fizzles out entirely, be even more sad I guess.
there is not a single reason to not reblog this
The more I read about Queen and Freddie, the sadder I feel for Deaky.
Anytime anyone asks Phoebe Freestone about John on his blog (which is incredible btw google it immediately) he talks about how Freddie stuck close to John in the early days, feeling he needed to protect him from some of the craziness of the rock world. John was the baby of the four and Freddie took care of him, especially in the years before John got married.
Lots of people are quoted talking about how quiet he was without saying much else, but Freddie knew him better. Kenny Everett once described John as the quiet one and this was Freddie’s reply: “He’s sort of quiet, lots of people think that. Don’t underestimate him, he’s got a fiery streak underneath all that. I talk so much anyway, he like to let me do all the talking. But once people crack that thin ice, then he’s alright. (You can never stop him talking then). Freddie truly took the time to get to know him.
& in Jim’s book he says how glad he was that John came to Freddie’s funeral and how he took extra care to thank him for being there, because Freddie’s health decline had been so hard for John to deal with that he hadn’t been around as much those later days.
It’s no wonder John left the entertainment world in 97 — he was already a quiet person and i bet he couldn’t imagine making music without his buddy, his friend who knew him better than most — his band mom…the person who helped him out and kept him safe at the start.
