one of the best things you can do for yourself as a woman is refuse to see your own suffering as virtuous. like no, the fact that you’re practically working yourself to death because your husband is useless and your basically a married single mom with an extra kid isn’t proof you’re a good mother.

no, the fact that you’re willing to let your boyfriend hit you during sex and call you names doesn’t make you a “cool girl”.

no, the fact that you pour hours of your time you’ll never get back and so much money into altering your appearance solely on an aesthetic level so you can be a “baddie” or whatever isnt a flex.

your life is yours, a solid sized chunk of us live very privileged lives as women where we’re allowed to obtain education, live independently, etc yet so many of us still actively make ourselves suffer is so infuriating, confusing, and disheartening. i want better for all of us. every single one of us.

If eyeliner grants women more power, why does it not grant men more power? Who is granting women power when they wear eyeliner? Why? What kind of power is it?

If eyeliner is worn almost entirely by women and wearing eyeliner "sharp enough to kill a man" is feminist, which specific feminist issue does eyeliner tackle (menstrual health, sexual harassment, medical misogyny, domestic violence shelters)?

How does eyeliner liberate you from the patriarchy (not make you feel good, liberate you ― there's a difference)?

we dont need body positivity we need body neutrality we dont need “gender instead of gender roles” we need the abolition of both we dont need “ethical porn websites” we need the eradication of porn altogether we dont need sex work legalised we need more options systematically in place for disadvantaged abused women we dont need cosmetic plastic surgery to be de stigmatised we need to normalise natural female features we dont need “race/sexuality blind feminism” we need intersectional feminism that recognises the different needs and traumas of woc and gay women

All of them. At every level. For every issue. Focus on women. Follow them. Support them. Help them rise.

Getting very sick of trans-identified men making creepy, voyeuristic media about the violence and suffering that women and girls experience at the hands of men.

lol @ the insinuation that men “turn to” the patriarchy as if it’s a weed strain rather than a violent system of oppression created to make women second-class citizens

men created it, it benefits them, they don’t commit unspeakable acts every second of every day because they’re “lonely and alienated” they do it because they want to and the systems they created allow them to with no consequences
