“Scared of some ghosts, Hobi?” you teased, snickering along with the other boys.
“Don’t be a scaredy cat, Hoseok,” Jungkook continued to tease.

Okay so this is a very self-indulgent list I made for myself after looking for these great edits by the amazing @ggukreum on twt/youtube. It started with looking for that viral Jungkook x Partition edit and I ended up drooling for this Kingsman edit again which led me wanting to read fics/imagines.
These are fics I’ve read with such theme but if others know more BTS!Kingsman AUs, please feel free to comment/send an ask so I can add to this list! Thank you dear authors for writing these imagines 🥰

Too much angst? Okay imagine Darling first arriving in Teyvat and the sheer happiness they experienced in meeting their favorite characters. The whole cult is so happy to finally meet them but wait! We can’t just greet them willy nilly, so every nation just puts up a HUGE welcoming festival. Every Archon and government are amped up to one up the other in wowing darling when they enter their nation the first time. Everyone is so happy to finally have darling in Teyvat. Brainrot over ☺️
@weirdsht 👀 hope you don't mind anon but I'll have to do this too in three parts 😭
Everybody in Teyvat expected their day to go as it always has done; Flora will send the Traveller to get her some freshly picked flowers, Xiangling will be out and about with Chongyun and Xingqiu for ingredients, Thoma will do his usual housekeeping and attend to Ayaka— just their everyday routines, for eveyone.
At least, that had been the plan if it weren't for a certain, sudden shower of stars that engulfed the entirety of Teyvat's sky. Of course, this has people talking— but what can the rest of the nations do but wait when the stars— or meteorites, perhaps?— seem to be aimed at Mondstadt?
But not even the Mondstadtians, with Jean herself at the front of the investigative group, could have anticipated that they'd find you, their God and Creator, face first against the grounds of the tree in Windrise, near the statue of Barbatos.
And it is you; Jean can feel it in her very bones, can feel the way every part of her body almost unconsciously recognises you— and so can the rest of the group, even those with no vision or who are particularly religious.
Gently, lovingly, reverently, you are carried by the Dandelion Knight herself back to Mondstadt to be tended to, and despite her orders of secrecy it doesn’t take long before the entire city is abuzz and excited— you're here! Their God, their very Creator is with them and decided to visit Mondstadt first! Is it not a cause for them to celebrate, then?
And so while the city begins to celebrate, bright banners strewn over buildings, fresh flowers hung everywhere, you are in the Favonius HQ, surrounded by nearly everyone— all so happy and excited to meet you, to greet you, and even more so once you actually wake up.
You are understandably scared and confused at first and they of courser rush to comfort you— do you happen to be cold, your grace? Are you injured, your grace? Are you hungry, your grace? Would you like new clothes, your grace?— until you are calmer and now even smiling as brightly as them.
And when they hear you say that you've always wanted to meet them, too, well nobody blames them for beaming, no?
And then you say you want to explore Mondstadt, and who are they to stop you when you want to and when the whole city has prepared a big festival for you?
While the Knights quickly start clearing their schedule, it is Venti who first takes you to tour the whole city— seeing you so excited and happy to meet his people, to interact and talk with them has him with a spring in his step, even more so when said people are all too glad and happy to tell you whatever you ask them. And so when you've turned your back on him for a few seconds, he quickly gets a cecilia flower crown from Flora which he gifts you.
Seeing you wear it with pride and kiss his cheek in thanks is a memory he will cherish forever in his heart.
Klee and Diona then join you, Klee excitedly taking your hand in hers after Diona shyly gives you a delicious drink she prepared just for you and dragging you to where Bennett and Razor are all the while telling you about the new bombs Albedo helped her make. Bennett is a shy, stuttering mess that doesn't even get the chance to warn you of his bad luck before you're pulling him and Razor to a hug, the latter a bit confused but not saying anything because he can tell through every single one of his senses that you lupical, that you are friend.
And after that is when you meet Amber and Eula— Eula who's so stiff despite Amber telling her that you aren't the God she's expecting, Eula who tries to drop into a kneel before you stop her and instead also take her to a hug and tell her that she's even prettier than you thought. Amber has a Baron Bunny in her hand, which she gives to you with a bright blush but a happy grin when you laugh and thank her.
Then comes Jean and Lisa, both bearing plates of food for you. Jean is also cautious like Eula, but it is easier to put her at ease after you tell her that the city is a thousand times even better than you imagined and yes, everyone has been so wonderfully nice to you. Lisa is only chuckling into her hand, though you are not blind to a the happy little smile she gets when you link your hands with her and Jean and thank them for the delicious food.
The three of you walk around the city again, and your eyes are still bright with wonder when you notice Angel's Share and ask to go there.
Diluc is of course the first to notice you, followed by Kaeya who has a little smirk that tells you exactly that he's been pestering Diluc at work again. Although you yourself don't notice it, they both brighten up as do all those at the tavern upon your entrance.
You don't known whether Diluc would've been as stiff with you as Eula and Jean were, because it doesn't take seconds before Kaeya is starting again except this time he's pulling you into the banter— and it is banter, because despite their words there's amusement and fondness in the two brother's eyes while they pester one another and tell you to ignore the other.
And then later it is Venti who comes and take you from there, citing that there is still so much you must see! And he is not lying— there's a dance going on in the plaza with Barbara singing, who waves at you with the joy of the sun itself.
When he sees that you are hesitant to join the dance, he only shakes his head when you tell him that you don’t know the steps; this is the City of Freedom, nobody will be bothered by you not knowing the steps, your grace!
Still, Venti takes your hands in his and teaches you the steps, until you are passable enough not to step on his feet every so often. Venti himself doesn't care; he's more focused on the bright gleam in your eyes and the fact that the winds are literally singing with your laughs.
Even now, it's still hard for him to think that his beloved God is actually here— but he does not dare complain. This is a dream come true for him, he will not ruin it in any way.
(And unbeknownst to him, this is a dream come true for you, as well.)
gyeong-su x gn!reader | 1.1k words
genre: slight angst, comfort, established relationship
warnings: swearing, canon-divergence, mentions of murder, kissing, blood, and aouad stuff.
synopsis: you were quietly looking around the room as everyone rushed to check on why gyeongsu wouldn't leave the recording room. you watched, keeping a close eye on nayeon. and right on time, you caught her red-handed.
author's note: you're welcome y'all /hj i need more gyeongsu gifs also
“Why won’t he come out of here? This stubborn idiot.”
You slowly stood up as everyone rushed over the glass window of the recording room while Mrs. Park walked in. They were all talking about why he wouldn’t leave and such things. Namra stayed on her seat, a bit further away from the others, and Nayeon unexpectedly walked over to the glass window with them. You took slow steps to follow behind her.
After everything the girl had put Gyeongsu through, you thought it’d be best to keep an eye on her. You didn’t know what she was capable of doing, how far she was willing to go, but you knew if anyone was more stubborn than Gyeongsu, it was her. And that scared you. If she was so stubborn and stuck on the idea of your boyfriend being infected, who knew what she would do to prove she was right?
Your hand grabbed onto her wrist harshly, holding it in place. She stilled in her movement completely and slowly looked up to meet your gaze. You looked calm, despite how hard your grasp on her arm was. You stared at her silently and lowered her arm. Down and away from the broken broom. “What are you doing?”
“Just… Just cleaning… the…”
Your gaze must’ve been too hard for her to hold, from how frantically she averted her eyes from your face. She paused to swallow thickly, as if searching for a credible answer to your question. She’d been caught off guard. Dare you say, caught red-handed.
“Cleaning what?” you asked quietly, purposefully getting closer to her face so only she would hear, “A zombie’s blood off a wooden stick? Are you planning to kill someone?”
Her eyes widened and she pushed you off, but your hand was still too tight on her wrist for her to shake it off. She desperately tried to move her arm, in vain. You heard the door of the recording room open and understood why she was so distressed at the idea of not being able to move away. She yelled out in frustration with a last, harsh attempt at getting her wrist out of your hand.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Let me go.” she said loudly; loudly enough to attract everyone’s attention. Even from the recording room, Gyeongsu seemed to have noticed the commotion. You scoffed with a smirk as Mrs. Park hurried over.
“[name], what are you doing? Let go of her wrist!” she exclaimed, hand moving to grab your hand before you spoke up.
“Maybe if she admits to attempted murder on her classmate.” you said steadily, eyes never leaving hers. She looked furious, irritated at being caught doing whatever it was she was attempting to do while everyone had their backs turned. But you didn’t relent. “So? Do you mind talking or should I do it for you?”
“That’s– You can’t accuse someone of attempted murder, [name], that’s far from being something to take lightly! I know things are very stressful for you and everyone else but it would be unfair to–”
“To let her try and kill Gyeongsu just because she can’t stand being wrong.” you cut her off, turning to look at her over your shoulder. “Right, teach’?”
She seemingly stumbled over her own words, before shaking her head. “Nayeon-ah. What does this mean?”
“Nothing! I wasn’t doing anything and this fucker just grabbed my fucking wrist!”
“They didn’t do it for no reason. Use your heads, for once.” Cheongsan chimed in, stepping closer. He furrowed his eyebrows and pointed to the girl’s hand. “She’s holding something.”
“My handkerchief.” Nayeon said, before scoffing and holding her head high, “What? I can’t have a handkerchief anymore? The fuck is wrong with all of you?”
“Nayeon-ah. Please hand it over.” the teacher said, extending her hand. Nayeon hesitated, and then looked at you coldly. You raised your eyebrows and moved her hand up for her.
“Do be careful with it, teach.” you said calmly, chuckling, “There’s zombie blood on this. Don’t touch it if your hands are injured.”
She made a confused face but grabbed the handkerchief. Her eyes widened as she inspected it, and glanced over the broken wooden stick they’d used to kill a zombie just earlier. The gears seemingly turned inside her head along your other classmates’ until they understood.
“This is a murder weapon, practically.” you said, nodding towards the piece of fabric. You tightened your hold on Nayeon’s arm and held it up as a harsh reminder of the predicament she put herself in and smiled. “And this is a murderer.”
You loosened your grasp on her wrist and she easily shook your hand off. You folded your hands behind your back and stepped aside, before turning around to face the rest of the group. You wore a calm smile on your face as you waited.
“What do we do?”
The teacher sighed and stepped forward. “Lee Nayeon. Were you really going to use this on Gyeongsu’s wound?”
“No! What do you think?!”
“Nayeon. Be honest. Please.”
“No, I… I just… I was just…”
“There’s no reason for you to be cleaning a fucking zombie-blood-stained wooden stick we used to kill a zombie, you fucking stuck-up bitch.” Jimin scoffed.
“Jimin, languag– Ah, nevermind, Just… Just quiet down. Nayeon, please just tell us the truth.”
“I… I just wanted to… Fuck, I just... I wanted... To make you all think that I was right when I said he was infected, I just–”
You walked past her, purposefully shoving her shoulder as you headed to the recording room. You opened the door and stepped in quietly, before closing it behind you. Gyeongsu was leaning against the table, staring at the room as he seemingly tried to understand what was going on. He turned to you the moment you stepped in and lightened up. “Hey. What’s going on out there? This girl being annoying again?”
You walked over to the chair he’d previously been sitting on and intertwined both your hands over the table. There was an odd silence for a few seconds before you slapped your hands on your face and screamed a muffled yell of frustration. You then put your hands back on the table and breathed calmly, acting as if nothing happened. Gyeongsu stared at you with wide eyes, obviously concerned.
“Are you okay…?”
To be honest, you were the one who wanted to murder someone. It took everything in you not to completely lash out, grab that bitch by her hair and hang her head over the edge of the window. It was so hard to keep your hand from twisting her arm until it ached. It was so hard not to punch her so she’d shut the fuck up. But you had to keep calm, because if you were too hysterical, they wouldn’t listen to you. Nevertheless it was unfair. She deserved to at least be punched. She tried to kill someone.
She tried to kill the person you’re dating, at that.
“Yes. Now that I’ve managed to stop her, I’m quite fine.” you said, smiling as you looked at him. “Now, you owe me one. Nayeon was trying to kill you.”
His eyes widened even more and he ran over to where you were sitting. “What?! What do you mean?”
You nodded towards the glass window of the recording room and Gyeongsu followed your gaze. Nayeon was crying and Namra was talking to her, seemingly annoyed while the other girl stammered over what she tried to say. Cheongsan rushed towards her before anyone could stop him and pushed her so harshly she almost fell. Suhyeok held him back, and you chuckled a bit. It looked like she was still trying to explain herself, before the teacher pulled her aside to another corner of the room and sat her down with her. You scoffed. “She was wiping blood from zombies on a handkerchief. She was planning to put it on your scratch.”
The boy instinctively looked down at the wound at the mention of it and frowned, scoffing. He wrapped his hand around it as if the blood was actually about to touch his wound, and you put your hand on his as an attempt at comforting him.
“Honestly I talked to her and everyone like I was certain that’s what she planned, but part of me was scared I was actually completely wrong. Then everyone would hate me, or something. But there was no reason for her to be wiping that blood that seemed as… Terribly logical as the one I came up with. Turns out I was right.”
Gyeongsu fell down on what he expected to be the chair but ended up falling on the floor. You laughed despite everything and held out your hand. He scoffed a chuckle and grabbed it as you got up to give him the chair back. You sat on the table instead and exhaled.
“So I almost just got killed.” he said, nodding to himself like he couldn’t realize it. You pursed your lips and sighed, looking down.
“Yup.” you said, “You did.”
He ran his hands over his face before holding them up on the top of his head. From the looks of it, it looked like he wanted to punch her very much, too. Understandably so. But he only gulped and nodded, before taking a deep breath.
He looked up at you and grabbed your hand. “Thanks.”
You smiled. “Why, of course. Now I’m counting on you to save me if I need it at some point, okay?” you said with a grin, trying to lighten the atmosphere. He waved his hand in dismissal, pulling off that overly-confident smile of his.
“Obviously!” he scoffed, before grabbing your chin to bring you down to his level. He had a small smile on his lips when he kissed the corner of your lips.
“Who do you take me for?” then he smiled fondly and kissed you properly.
And you grinned. You knew both of you were dead scared, despite your attitudes. It was frightening to think that if you hadn’t noticed, Gyeongsu might’ve just turned into a zombie as well. So when you pulled away you immediately wrapped your arms around him as tightly as you could, and he exhaled and reciprocated the hug just as tightly. You both needed it. You could feel it.
This was nice-- Better. You felt relieved. Finally.
So I was listening to the prince of Egypt soundtrack when I got an idea, imposter au (the one where there’s a legit imposter that’s posing as you) x the prince of Egypt, specifically the Plagues song.
I know it sounds crazy and like it wouldn’t fit, BUT think about it, God darling sending messages to the imposter telling them to knock it off or else, the imposter decides to be a lil shit and wants to see what this “or else” is.
Immediately, reader starts off plaguing the nations like in the prince of Egypt. Cursing their crops and whatnot and sparing and protecting those who they seek innocent in this and the believers who don’t believe the imposter. On the last night of the plagues, instead of killing the first borne or whatever, instead reader raises the characters most loved dead person to shame them for their actions while the people who looked like reader who have been murdered drag out the imposter to face the real god, reader
Oh, anon I love this idea!
I will confess I've never seen the prince of egypt, haha, but I'll do my best to answer this!
Fyi, I love a morally grey reader so...
Darling already knew who they were - the Creator.
So when they heard of an imposter posing as them, they were furious.
Residing in the Abyss, they had been talking out negotiations for the Prince to hopefully not destroy Teyvat - after all, it was your beloved creation.
As Darling sees the Archons of Liyue and Mondstadt bowing down to the imposter, practically tripping over themselves to please them.
How dare they?
After all, a heretic using darling's name to command the archons was against the Creator themselves.
So Darling decides to take is slowly.
They send visions - dreams - to the imposter. They slowly ruin the silk flowers that the silk clothing the imposter comes from - the farmers are not spared. They were the ones to willingly provide the silk, after all. Many starve to death.
The imposter doesn't heed their words.
However, Zhongli has started to have doubts. Whenever he mentions bringing a gift to his god, the sources of the gift start to vanish. He had doubts about his god's personality - after all, it didn't match what the scriptures said about their kindness and generosity. But he didn't act on them, as it would be absolute treason.
As the imposter learns of what has been happening, they see Zhongli hesitate to serve them on his knees, and they throw a fit of rage.
"How dare you! I am the Creator!"
And Zhongli leaves their side.
Venti hesitates to leave however, having already spent too much time with the... imposter? Creator? to have so easily abandoned them. After all, they'd visited Mondstadt first.
Darling is furious at this.
They send a wave of plague to Mondstadt, only sparing the innocent.
Jean struggles to deal with the outbreak, running straight to the imposter to beg for a miracle.
The imposter cannot do anything.
However, the children are miraculously spared. Those who were too young to fully understand that the imposter was someone supposedly 'important', who didn't bow down to them...
Parts of Teyvat start to flee to the only Creator's temple, begging for protection.
This satisfies Darling, somewhat.
After all, less and less people are running to the imposter - who resides elsewhere.
As people start to die in droves, those who reside in the temple seeking your protection - those who never prostrated themselves at the imposters feet - are safe. None show any symptoms of the diseases, and they are all granted great kindness in the face of your wrath.
The imposter refuses to move, but their great mass of followers has dwindled.
You listen to the stories of those who sought refuge - apparently, the imposter has been killing off those with any resemblance to you. You shake in rage.
How dare they exert their power, pretending they are you?
You raise a hand, summoning those recently dead, and pick out those who were murdered by the fanatics who followed the imposter's teachings.
And with them, you teleport into the home of the imposter - which has been almost entirely abandoned.
The only one who remain are Venti, Jean, Kazuha, Diluc, Kujou Sara, and Ei.
Eyes cold and stormy, you summon another wave of dead.
Venti crumples to his knees, eyes wide, as a look-alike of him appears. He sobs for forgiveness, but his twin only shakes his head, turning away coldly.
Jean feels like a little kid again when she sees her family - the ones she sought so desperately to please - look at her in disgust. What did she do wrong?
Kazuha feels his blood go cold when Tomo appears again. Tomo's usually bright smile is sinister. Tomo grabs his shoulder, nails pressing in, as he hisses, "I am so, so disappointed in you. I hate to have to call you friend." He can't bear to try and remove the hand from his shoulder.
Diluc's mask cracks as he sees his father standing in front of him. Like he was never killed. But his father only scowls at him. "I have no words for you. A Khaenri'an traitor was a better son then you." And he weeps.
Ei sees her twin appear again, and she steps forward in shock as her twin stares at her. A sad frown appears on her twin's face, and she turns away. "I thought I could trust you with our creator. I was wrong."
Sara has none that she attached herself to easily - the life of a general was not a social one. But her devotion to her Archon causes her to watch in shock as the mirror to Ei gives her a cold stare as well.
As those killed in the imposters name move forward, the imposter is dragged out of their home, screeching.
Their words are empty now, face bone white.
They know who they've angered.
They are executed on the steps of your temple, as a warning to those who actually try to impersonate you. As for the rest of the imposter's remaining followers? They are left to endless drown in their own sorrow - day after day, they are trapped in a cycle of misery and pain.
You easily replace Barbatos and Ei with a flick of your hand. Teyvat listens to your will. Morax is spared, but just barely. He now carries a scar you inflicted upon his face - a reminder of what happens when one forsakes the Creator.
You return to the Abyss, and smirk.
Next time, they should've worshipped you. Imposters are not tolerated in Teyvat. And no matter how many you must kill and drown in sorrow, you will get the awe and worship you deserve.

A few days had passed and you couldn’t believe it had been almost a week since you moved to this city. You felt like any moment now you were going to wake up and be back in your childhood room. It was all so surreal. Your mother had checked in with you a few times already, and you could tell she was trying to hold herself back from being a helicopter parent. She was worried and you understood that. You couldn’t imagine how she must feel as a single parent with her first child moving out but at least she had your younger brother to hover over now.
You still hadn’t told her about how you were treated at work or any of the drama at your residence and you didn’t plan on telling her any time soon. You knew that if you did, she would beg you to come home immediately. This wasn’t your first run-in with a bully. Growing up in a rough public school, it felt as if there was always an arrow on your back. It all felt like a blur now but all you could remember was your mother being so concerned for you and you didn’t want to awaken that part of her again. An overwhelming need to prove yourself had come over you, not wanting to run home to your mother after the first inconvenience.
Besides, things seemed to be improving. Well, they hadn’t gotten any worse so you figured that was a plus. Jiwan still gave you dirty looks and acted as if you were a nuisance so you hadn’t bothered asking her for help anymore and thankfully, she didn’t say anything to you at all. And your roommates seemed as chipper as ever. Ever since Soomi had left, they seemed much more comfortable at home. Their chatter carried throughout your floor whether they were in the kitchen or hanging out in one of the bedrooms and you somehow didn’t even mind. It was weird how fast you felt yourself warming up to them but you supposed it was the way they treated each other like a family, which they were now seemingly including you in.
Like right now, as Jungkook had practically begged you to join him in his room to play one of his video games. There was no way you could resist those big doe eyes and the way he held your hands so tenderly as he cornered you in the hallway. He was ecstatic when you finally agreed and that was how you ended up sitting on his bed with your back to the wall facing his large computer screen. He had quite the gamer setup, something you were shocked to see due to the small living spaces the residence offered.
He sat cross-legged next to you on the tiny bed, close enough for your legs to brush but you didn’t feel uncomfortable. Something about Jungkook was just so endearing that you felt like he could almost get away with anything. You could tell from the way the others babied him and how much he would turn the puppy dog eyes on you that he was used to getting what he wanted.
“Press these two at the same time if you wanna do a cool combo move.” His knee bumped yours as he leaned over to point at some buttons on your controller. You followed his instructions, causing your character to injure his character. “Ah, noona! I’m on your team!”
“Oops, sorry Kookie.” You smirked, watching in amusement as he focused on getting his player far away from yours. You don’t remember when you started calling him that but now it was hard to stop.
It was nice to get a break from adult life and enjoy some downtime with your new friend. You can’t remember the last time you let loose like this. Ever since you’d graduated high school, the stress of work and life had been set on your shoulders. You two continued to play for a while and you found yourself getting so engrossed in the game that when the door suddenly burst open, you actually jumped in shock.

*more parts coming soon*
Ayyee! A bit of a more normal but a funny Genshin yandere men thing: Now hear me out, you're a highly advanced shapeshifter (can shapeshift into anything, anyone, any animal, any bird, any bug even) who's got a yandere man on your tail, and to keep it simple, everytime they successfully get you and lock you away, you just shapeshift into a tartigrade (an indestructible microscopic organism) and escape or you could blend in with other organisms and evade capture! Your yandere has absolutely no idea who they're dealing with as the cycle of find, capture and escape is almost endless. I really like the category thing you did and if you categorized this that would be awesome, but take your time, I can wait 👍
Oh, this is such an interesting idea!
Somehow he always manages to catch you by pure, dumb luck and when he does he begs you to turn into a cool-looking onikabuto: Itto
It's a challenge he'll gladly accept; probably turns it into some sort of game of cat and mouse: Childe
Wait, how did you do that? What's going on? His whole world is rocked when he realizes you can shapeshift and is at a temporary loss: Chongyun, Gorou, Bennett
You may be able to shapeshift, but your true scent will always remain. Even if it's hidden under other scents, he'll still manage to sniff you out. Sometimes he's quick in finding you. Other times...not so much. But he'll do whatever it takes to have you back: Kazuha, Razor
He finds your ability to be very interesting and wants to see what else you can do. So keep shifting into various things; he'll commit all of your moves to memory and plan accordingly: Kaeya, Xingqiu, Zhongli
He thinks it's a unique skill and wants to study and record every aspect of it. Be a dear and show him all that you can do, won't you?: Dottore, Baizhu, Albedo
He's more annoyed by your unique abilities than impressed. Once you're back with him, you won't be escaping anytime soon. He'll make sure of it: Scaramouche, Xiao
Why can't you just cooperate? :( He hasn't done anything to hurt you. All he wants is for you to stay by his side. If there's something bothering you, tell him and he'll fix it. He wants to do better for your sake, so please don't shapeshift and run away. Talk to him: Thoma, Diluc, Dainsleif
It's troublesome, but what can you do? Who is he to take away your freedom of shifting? Go wild! But please make sure to come back to him. It wouldn't be very nice if you left your dearly beloved all alone: Venti
He's already busy with all sorts of work, so he can't afford to lose you all of the time. Tries to find clever ways to keep you by his side without it seeming like you're stuck in captivity. Thoma probably entertains you (and goes searching for you) when he can't: Ayato
What would the familiars do if they realised their master had gone to TW to escape them?
Why would you do such a thing..? They’ve waited so long to meet you, to serve you, to love you, and yet... and yet... You ran away?
(an incredibly long answer under the cut!)
The situation: They meet you again in Twisted Wonderland, but you tell them you came here to escape them. They don’t take it well.
Heartslabyul is absolutely heartbroken, but they’re the most understanding of your decision to run. They were your familiars the longest, so taking care of you came naturally to them. Even now, your safety and happiness is the top priority to them.
Ace seems like he’ll shatter if you touch him, the shock rendering him frozen. After all he did to find you again, you tell him you don’t want him? Deuce digs his nails into his palms, wide-eyed, but takes a breath and manages to give you a wobbly smile. He gently pulls the trembling Ace away, whose desperate cries are starting to escape his throat.
Cater laughs, breathless and unbelieving. Relief and grief rush in like torrents, and it doesn’t take long before his laughter turns hysteric. Tears keep pouring out and it takes Trey yanking his hands away from his face, where his claws almost dug into, to pull him out of it. Trey’s face is twisted in deep sorrow, but he’s keeping his own tears in as he murmurs something to Cater. At his words, they both snap their gazes to Riddle, whose expression hasn’t changed.
Riddle’s face is carefully blank, like your declaration of wanting to escape didn’t hurt him at all. He’s staring intensely at you, trying to burn the image of you alive and well into his mind and then... he turns away, barking orders out to the others. “Let this be our final service to you,” he says to you, voice breaking. “Let us take care of you one last time.”
After all, the rest of your familiars won’t take the news as well as they did. Heartslabyul gathers themselves as best as they can, their sobs fading into shaky breaths. They’ll have to force the others back into the mirror. It’s the least they can do for you now.
Savanaclaw’s reaction is particularly explosive. Their group is made up of strays with nowhere to go, who found a home in you, and now even you don’t want them.
Jack is snarling, trying to bite off Ace’s head for stopping him from moving any closer to you. He doesn’t get it, he doesn’t understand why this is all happening. It just doesn’t make sense. Why would you abandon them too? What did they do wrong? Why didn’t you tell them they were wrong?! Cater grabs him by the neck and pushes him away, his anger morphing into howling agony as the grief sets in.
Ruggie is being held back by Deuce and Trey, but his hands are reaching out to you. His words are incomprehensible through his tears, as he claws at empty air and digs his feet into the ground. Why are they forcing him to leave? He just got to see you again! Why won’t you meet his eyes? What’s wrong? Why won’t you look his way anymore..?
Leona glares at you, betrayal etching itself on every bit of his body language. Riddle stands firm in front of him, tense and ready to put him down if takes a step towards you. Leona’s hands twitch, as if wanting to tear you apart, and Riddle nearly attacks him before he just... closes his eyes. When Leona opens them and looks at you again, there’s nothing but resignation left. He seems soulless as he leaves, having lost everything that mattered to him.
Octavinelle doesn’t believe you at all. They keep talking like they haven’t heard you or Riddle’s commands to go back through the mirror, as if this really was just a happy reunion. The way their eyes glaze over gives away their denial, if Azul’s shaking hands didn’t already.
Heartslabyul can’t risk anything with Jade and Floyd. As soon as their smiles turn too sharp, they’re trying to restrain them and force them back. Floyd is immediately kicking and screaming, his voice shrill and desperate as he claws at Cater and Deuce. He’s threatening to destroy the entire place and their original world too, if you don’t come home and stop him, if you keep refusing to return! The last glimpse you get of him as he’s forced into the mirror is the promise in his eyes that he will follow through on his threats.
Jade is just as violent, though his voice is leveled as he unblinkingly meets your gaze. Ace shoves a hand over his mouth, to muffle his increasingly descriptive threats to everyone you used to know in their world. Trey hisses in pain as Jade’s nails scratch him over and over, but they manage to push him into the mirror, Ace pulling away his bitten hand. Jade’s eyes never leave you as he goes.
Azul crumples to the ground all on his own, falling to his knees as he begs you to come back, to come home. He’s a complete wreck, as the sounds of the frantic twins fade away, his wailing sobs louder than even Floyd’s screams. He grovels, head pressed to the ground, for you to please please please please-- You can’t even make out what’s he’s asking of you anymore, as Riddle drags his limp body into the mirror.
Scarabia can sense something’s off as soon as they arrive. Kalim’s smile crumples at the sight of Heartslabyul looking so resolute, Jamil tensing behind him in response.
The two of them hear you out, Kalim interrupting more and more as you talk. Eventually, he won’t let you speak anymore as he begins to ramble about all the things you’ve missed since you’ve been gone. He can’t bear to hear you talk about wanting to leave them. It’s too much. Kalim can’t stand still, his entire body buzzing with nerves and pent up sorrow, eyes darting everywhere. When he reaches a hand out to you, as if to test the validity of your claims, and Deuce grips his wrist with a grim expression, he breaks. Ace catches him when he falls, curling into himself as sobs wrack his body.
Jamil is silent and motionless up until Kalim breaks, where he then suddenly snaps his gaze from you to the Heartslabyul boys. His voice is low as he begins to speak, before it rises in volume the longer he goes on. He’s blaming the Heartslabyul group for forcing them back, for letting you leave them, for being cowards--but not once does he blame you, unable to turn the brunt of his anger on you even now. He leaves with Kalim, giving you a last, longing look, and another scathing glare for the others.
Pomefiore is grief-stricken before you even have the chance to say anything to them. Vil looks like the world is ending before his eyes, causing Rook and Epel to both pick up on the severity of the situation instantly.
Epel’s expression gets worse and worse the more he hears, torn between erupting with anger or crying his eyes out. He ends up doing neither when Cater scoops him up, who didn’t want to risk keeping him around any longer than they need to. Epel’s furious demands to be put down are desperate pleads for a little more time with you by the time he reaches the mirror.
Rook hasn’t said anything the entire time, choosing instead to give you a deep bow and a flawless smile, before he departs. Judging by the stern, disapproving look Rook gets from Trey as he passes by, he has no intentions of letting things end here. However, instead of loudly announcing his plans like the twins did, he says nothing, leaving a chill in your spine and a terrible omen in the air.
Vil watches you quietly through it all, studying your expression. If there was even a slight chance that you would want to return, to come home to them, he would’ve pushed relentlessly for it. And yet, seeing you now, standing tall and firm on your decision even through all their tears, he can’t find anything to say. The resignation that slowly consumes his gaze looks eerily similar to Leona’s, that loss of purpose to continue living. Still, even as his heart shatters, he wishes you the best, his walk to the mirror slow and unsteady.
Ignihyde seems like they expected this from the start. Idia isn’t at all surprised by your decision, even if Ortho is frantically looking between the two of you in a panic.
Ortho is gentle as he questions you, prying for answers for how it all ended up this way. At your every response, he whips his head around to look at Idia, watching for a reaction. When the most he gets is a sneer, he turns back to you and presses you again if you really, really, want to leave them like this? Isn’t this... too cruel? When Idia walks forward, Ortho is pulled back by Deuce, then Trey draws them both close for a hug.
Idia’s march towards you is halted by Ace and Cater, both of whom are already growling. Idia eyes them for a moment, then turns his attention to you and Riddle behind them. Recognizing that they won’t let him get any closer, he starts his rant there, blaming you for ruining him, for ruining every single one of them, and then just running away from it all! That you can’t just leave after everything you’ve done! They’ll never be the same anymore! How are any of them supposed to live past the fact that you don’t want them?!
Cater and Ace force him into the mirror before he says anything worse, his words abruptly cutting off as he’s pushed through. Ortho looks to you like he wants a final hug before he goes, but he hangs his head, and leaves without another sound.
Diasomnia is full of mixed reactions. Half of them are smiling, the other half is devastated. The Heartslabyul boys can’t decide how to divide the work, the response from Diasomnia being too strange. They cautiously surround you, extremely on edge with Malleus grinning at them.
Sebek is absolutely dismayed. Words are failing him, and he can’t gauge what to do based on Malleus’ face either. He settles for his own honest reaction, which is to start bawling and begging for another chance. Whatever they did to upset you, they can fix it! Everyone treasures you so much, you must know that, right? You know they’d listen to whatever you say! So why..? Lilia holds a hand out, quieting him instantly as he turns his attention elsewhere.
Silver isn’t faring any better, realizing how serious you are about this. He’s completely crushed, frankly, and he just wants to go lay down and fall asleep and never wake up again. Then the fear seeps into his expression as Malleus laughs, and Silver turns towards him, disbelief evident in the way he breathes a barely audible no.
Malleus and Lilia are both watching you like you’re just throwing a tantrum. Lilia coos, delighted over how resolute you are. He nods at your every word, as if he’s simply indulging your whims. When you demand he go back through the mirror, how proud he is at your display of courage comes through in the way he claps enthusiastically after your speech. He herds a shocked Sebek and a worried Silver away into the mirror, smiling all the way.
Malleus hasn’t stopped grinning since he caught sight of you, but his expression melts into something softer, more fond, as the other three leave. He gestures at the world around you, your “Twisted Wonderland”, and he asks you how much you know about it. When you can’t come up with the answer he’s looking for, the pure delight on his face is a sight to behold.
“You’ll be home soon, then,” Malleus purrs, his heavy, burning adoration for you flooding his gaze. “Grim does not disappoint.”
And with that, he’s gone. The Heartslabyul boys don’t seem to know how to react, wearily looking around for any signs that someone else was still around. When their search comes up empty, they turn to you, waiting for you to take it all back and come home with them. When you say nothing, Riddle nods, and pushes the rest of them through the mirror.
