Daisuke and Daigo are/were both googleboys, as we can see at the beginning of Soshitsu (Loss).
These two have some traits in common:
- In their name there is the same kanji:
大輔 (Daisuke) and 大吾 (Daigo)
- They are both goofy, loyal to people they love and determined.
- They are both crushing on a pretty short-haired brunette girl.

Digimon Adventure Tri Kokuhaku (Confession)
Maki in: Digimon Adventure Tri Soshitsu (Loss)
- Moreover the two googleboys share something very peculiar:
Daigo’s digimon was Baihumon. Baihumon is the White Tiger of the West and when Taichi’s party scrificed their crests he was break free by the Courage and the Friendship’s crests.
When Ken became the Digimon Kaiser, the Four Holy Beasts had to create the Digi-eggs and Baihumon created the Courage and the Friendship’s Digi-eggs which belong to Daisuke.

These are curiose parallels but I don’t think it is there for no reason.
Or maybe it means nothing… but it’s a detail that I really like.

Don’t tell me either of them haven’t dumped slush down someone else’s neck. There are no rules except for one. Win.
When writing always remember… a character flaw is only a flaw until becomes useful.
Is your protagonist manipulative? Well that’s awful… until they manipulate the antagonist into making a decision that saves the lives of their friends.
Is your protagonist a skeptic? Well that’s not good… until someone tries to lie to them.
Is your protagonist overprotective? That sucks… until someone they love is in danger.
Is your protagonist remorseless? Well that makes them pretty unlikeable… until a hard decision has to be made.
The future lord of Ultramar.
"Ultramar" was derived from an ancient phrase meaning "beyond the sea of night."
