- support indigenous people you’re hearing about for the first time - support black indigenous people - support all dark-skinned indigenous people, mixed or not - support indigenous people who are disconnected from their roots and are only now rediscovering them - support indigenous people who arent white-passing or mixed with white - support multiracial indigenous people - support indigenous people who are mixed with white but refuse to identify with that part of their heritage - support all indigenous people regardless if they speak their tribal/native language, whether they live on their land or not, whether they know a lot of their heritage or not

could you explain the difference between the Taliban and Muslims and why people say the two are the same?
The Taliban are a militia trained and funded by the U.S and Saudi Arabia as resistance fighters to combat the influence of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan circa 1980s. In 1994 they overtook Kandahar as an independent power and claimed governorship of surrounding region. Until 2001 the Taliban remained as the body of power over Afghanistan and now they remain as insurgents, trying to reclaim power through acts of terrorism and shock-violence. The Taliban are a group of militants that use a warped version of Sharia Law to justify their war on anyone who resists them—including Muslims who are targeted and killed at the highest rate by the Taliban.
Muslims are a demographic of people, 1.8 billion strong, that adhere to Islam, an Abrahamic monotheistic religion spanning 14 centuries. Muslim have existed long before the Taliban ever did. Muslims are killed every day by the same people that the world continues to categorize them with. Muslims are not Taliban and the Taliban do not represent Muslims.

Just found this, and it’s stuck in my head. Classic Reggae Dub!
This classic always takes me back to childhood times. Much love!
I am an indigenous-mestiza-afrodescendent trans-national Latina sister from the picturesque South American city of Guayaquil and brought up in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. I love and respect my journey in exploring my browness and my womanhood.
