I don't know what the fuck he was thinking, but Caiti barely looks over 18. He should have asked her age, should have asked for consent, and shouldn't have supplied a minor with alcohol.

Women everywhere have always had it drilled into their brains 'if you're uncomfortable, laugh it off and stay polite otherwise it's more dangerous'. With someone with a platform and the influence such as his, he should have been aware of stuff like that, and been mindful that his following and influence would be potentially intimidating to a younger and smaller creator, especially one that idolises him, and that it may hold a factor in their ability to make reasonable decisions. Even if Caiti had consented, it was his responsibility to ensure that she wasn't consenting out of fear or peer pressure. If he saw her friends were pushing her to do something, he should have stepped in as the responsible adult in the room.

A firm reminder that George is, and was, an adult. He was a 27 year old man at the time. This was not a stupid mistake made by a teenager or young adult who doesn't fully understand the boundaries of consent. It was a fully grown and matured adult man, taking advantage of a drunk minor.

Even if he had been Caiti's age, or not understood, Caiti still 100% deserved a full whole hearted apology, and not once did he actually apologize to her. He hasn't made a little mistake, he's ruined a life.

He isn't cancelled, he's committed a fucking crime. He deserves to be in prison, not on a trending page on twitter.

I'm getting so tired of the fnaf fandom excusing all of Scott's horrible partnering choices with the whole "he probably didn't know" argument. it's quite literally his responsibility to do research before signing off on deals with his franchise and entering a partnership with another brand. not taking that time to do bare-bones research is problematic in its own way and shouldn't just be a "well, that's Scott!" moment.

if you care about Palestine, please do not support any of Jazwares collaborative designs with fnaf. they donate funds to the brothers for life charity (and more) that support the IDF. hold people accountable for their actions. at worst Scott is a zionist, and at very best he does absolutely 0 research on who he works with. it's wild how many times this issue comes up of trying to decipher his beliefs based on business decisions.

HI! :D if you don't know, some false rumors were spread on twitter about the Billie Bust Up devs and the VA for Barnaby recently. Now, beforehand, I did not know this. This drama lead me into a sour streak where I would admittedly harass people and just say nasty things about the wonderful people behind this game. :(

I will say this now; WHAT I DID WAS WRONG. Instead of being patient, waiting for both sides to come out to listen to both sides, or even asking for updates on the drama, I lashed out on others, said nasty things, and this lead me in a wrong path of taking a break/cooling down before properly apologizing. I should have apologized first before taking the break, honestly. I DO NOT CONDONE MY ACTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE WHO ARE IN A CONTROVERSY/DRAMA AND WAIT TO HEAR BOTH SIDES BEFORE FORMING YOUR OPINION.

I apologize for calling you guys all those awful things and harassing your fans. I was heated in the moment of the drama which was on my part. I won't blame my mental health or mental illness for my behavior, since this was a failure to have critical, logical thinking on my part. I understand if you guys won't forgive me, and that is okay. I understand that feeling. I wish the best for you, and when your game comes out for Xbox, I will purchase a copy of the game to support your guys wonderful and creative endeavors of diversity. /gen /srs

I apologize for not hearing your side of the story when it came out. I had only heard of your side a few days ago (I wanna say 2 or 3 days) and I feel really bad for harassing your fans as well. I had believed the false rumors, and I am the one at fault. I had lacked patience or critical thinking at the time and I was in the wrong for doing that. I hope the best for your career, your mental health, and you and your wife.

I sincerely apologize for what I had said. It was a dick move of me to say the things I had said, since it was impulsive and rude of me to do so. This controversy, and my reaction to it, had left a stain on the community, and I wish to clean up that stain. I will take time to learn to grow and improve so that this community may be a more welcoming place, to fans new and old, and to the wonderful people behind the game.

I recognized his tactics from a fucking mile away. Can't fool someone who dragged themself out of the right-wing pipeline. Hope the Hermits sort this shit before they slip into something worse.

to say my piece: firstly, fuck iskall.

secondly, its very easy to tell by the outpouring of hate comments on many of the hermits' recent videos (after his response) that he reached a target of young, impressionable fans. not only that, but also a darker side of the hermitcraft fandom that i like to ignore.

as much as i love hermitcraft, its "golden" status that its gotten from remaining "unpolitical" and "drama-free" has perpetuated a very ugly-hearted group of fans who cant find solace in the more openly left-wing smp communities. so they turn to hermitcraft, where they can hide a little more easily. and this has been a group of people slowly cultivating numbers for years now, and there's enough of them that docm77's gay beacon, or the number of pride mcc participants (and queer hermits) can't ward off.

these people have always been the ones brushing concerns in the community under the rug, the "this isn't the place for politics," and "i watch hermitcraft to get AWAY from that stuff." types. they are never going to believe the women that were harassed over the male creator they've latched onto as someone who's "for them" and "un-cancelable." these people have been waiting for this opportunity. and you'll see them say "hermitcraft is over," and "they can't come back from this," but none of that is true. they're the only ones who believe that.

and as awful as all of this is, the hate and the VERY thinly veiled misogyny-- there is a bright-side in weeding those people out. "i don't think i'll be able to watch hermitcraft after this" good fucking riddance.

iskall knew what he was doing by bringing his shit response video to his youtube audience. instead of the reddit, instead of twitter, but to a space that HE moderates. the space with the highest concentration of people who he know will defend him.

my only hope is that the hermits double down on this, and that they have the backbone to make it clear that these people are not welcome in the community. and neither is iskall. and that the larger chunk of us continue to support the victims, and uplift what they have to say. i can't imagine how this must feel for them.
