Magically, I endow all of Vivz's female characters with a personality

Leon: The Professional (1994) is a fine film (not a great one), until you learn it's based on writer and director Luc Besson's real life relationship between himself and MaĂŻwenn Le Besco, when he was 32 and she was 15.
It gets even worse when you learn that they only dated when she was 15 because it was the legal age in the country they were in. He met her when she was 12. Besson also has other allegations against him regarding a former assistant.
There are so many nonces in cinema it actually kills it for me.
Simon's name doesn't even show up in the trailer đ
It's so over...
Sigh. Is nothing sacred.
Tales from the Loop was amazing but this is the kind of thing that I don't think lends itself to a film adaptation. Especially not with Crisp Rat, especially especially not one with Crisp Rat directed by the Russos. Tonal change from the book is inevitable I fear.
oh also. one other thing Iâve noticed about the kister situation is the immediate ocification of his characters and world as an excuse to still enjoy his work. I understand if you had an AU or something that youâve been working on for like ten trillion years and it isnât that attached to kisters work anymore. but i just keep seeing jokes about everyoneâs ânew ocs meerkat heathbar and sussy tables!! now that we hate this white guy content creator I can finally ship them yay yay yippee :]â itâs been one day. If you cannot let go of one piece of media in a sea of other pieces of media that are similar and probably better, or even hold off on making jokes about it for ONE DAY after it has come out that REAL LIFE HUMAN PEOPLE were hurt, I donât know what to say to you. I just donât. also. please for the love of god maybe donât use the ever repeating situation of âfamous person uses their fame to commit predatory, dangerous behavior towards their fans who trusted themâ as an excuse to make your favorite one note horror whiteguys kiss. not only does it say some not great things about your respect towards creator boundaries (even if it was likely that alex only pushed this rhetoric to make himself look less like the type of person he ended up being, plenty of creators genuinely do have these sorts of boundaries and wonât be happy to see how little people actually care) âsituation sucks but I guess some good came out of it because now I get to do (this) with this propertyâ nothing good came out of this for the victims. absolutely fucking nothing.
believe them and support them.
Everytime this is reblogged, JK Rowling steps on a lego
Oopies I accidentally made the Freikorps, I didn't know they would organize and install a fascist government, when I made them I was just trying to protect the Republic. I'm sorry that I created the language coached in a fighting a future civil war (or race war). I didn't know they would become fascist paramilitaries. Well I guess we live and learn...
ok but please tell me I'm not the only one who wants an actual exploration of Stella's character in the show. yes, I know she's a bad person, yes, I know she abused Stolas, but the way she's portrayed is just a kind of caricature of dumb and abusive, exactly like Valentino, when I feel like she has the potential to be way more interesting. Not, to be clear, as a way of excusing her abuse, but as a way of explaining it. Yes, it's possible that Stella's just a bad person, but there could definitely be more to it. For instance, think about this photo we see of her as a kid:
this is obviously incredibly violent and not ok at all. what I want to point out is how Vivzie chose to show that Stella has always been violent and angry, even as a child. in this picture she's what, eight to thirteen? almost definitely around the adolescent age range. if someone is committing animal abuse when they're a literal child, it almost always indicates that they either have anger issues from some type of mental disorder or they had a very bad childhood and home environment. either of those explanation would be fascinating to explore in the show. Stella having an extreme mental illness and never getting treatment would explain both her violence and her seeming stupidity (I use these terms lightly. Obviously not all neurodivergent people have anger or intelligence issues, I'm just saying it can be a cause of those issues). Likewise, her having a bad childhood would explain her defensiveness, childlike impulse control, and how she lashes out easily. People who were abused or mistreated as children often act less mature as adults because they were never given the chance to be a child, and this would account for much of Stella's personality. It would also be interesting if it turned out her family had groomed/manipulated her in some way, since that would make the way Anderalphus treats her make more sense (seriously, he calls her a "fiery vixen," and says she's attractive, wtf??)
anway...yeah. those are my annoying ramblings. I know Stella is canonically abusive, I'm not saying she isn't, or that there's any excuse for hurting your partner, but I would like to see more of her backstory and her become a nuanced character.
I wanted to make a backstory for the time I found this in pokemon Violet XD
Is someone gonna take one for the team and leak Scott Cawthons political donations again
Oh wow the guy that supports fucked up people and gives money (from his overrated and mediocre franchise) to republicans who are anti lgbt and never apologizes for it in his reddit response turns out to be a bad person???, color me shocked /s
