I did a DTIYS for @rorydrawsandwrites 2000 followers celebration! Had fun doing this.

I forgot they were supposed to be in a “let me give you a hug” position while drawing though, my bad.

Okay, so I’ve been thinking a lot about this concept lately and I really want to make it an AU so bad, though I feel like I’d be really boring. It’s simply just a concept I am very interested in and can’t let go of. (The concept being mind manipulation/brainwashing/mind control, whatever you call it)

I might make a few doodles of it.

I’m so evil for this but I just had a brain idea for TADC. Idk if this counts as spoilers, but I will be talking about episodes enough?? Maybe spoilers, idk. Read with caution. But anyways:

I was doing the dishes when I remembered when someone mentioned how Caine can’t directly affect the cast’s minds, but can manipulate them as seen with the stupid sauce in ep 4. Gooseworx’s response was very vague, giving only a small ‘heh’ in response but it got me wondering what that sort of thing could do if Caine realized how much he could do with it. See, no one expects Caine to do anything malicious, because he isn’t supposed to be, and quite frankly, he doesn’t want to be the bad guy either, ALTHOUGH he does have a very oblivious and factual sense of logic.

My thoughts then turned to the meals he makes for the cast, occasionally, if they eat meals regularly, or if he gives them to the cast as prizes, (as seen in the end of the TADC pilot). My brain immediately thought of how Caine, wanting everyone to enjoy his adventures and their life in the circus, might react when he realizes he could just feed them something that could actually make them enjoy his shenanigans! To Caine, I’d make perfect sense, and not malicious at all since then they’d be more compliant and happy. Even if it’s forced onto them.

The thought of Caine making an adventure for them, and making a meal for them afterwards with code that’ll manipulate their senses and practically mind control them seems like something he’d 200% do if he ever realized he could. One of he worst things would be that then, if they were still “conscious”, they wouldn’t just be stuck in the circus, they wouldn’t just be trapped with each other, they’d be trapped in the back of their minds, suppressed as second thought that would be completely overlooked. If not, then their minds would be seen as completely stable, and they wouldn’t even be able to get out via abstraction anymore! An everlasting generation of circus members that don’t go insane, argue, or abstract! Caine would see it as perfect!

My ramblings are just about a random thought I had, I don’t expect it to actually happen, though with how shocked the voice actors were with the script, and how the mind-altering substances aren’t completely off the table, there’s a possibility of it happening. An absolute nightmare of an ending for the show.

It’s not really an AU yet. Just something that I was thinkin’ bout. I could make it an AU though. That would be pretty cool. I don’t have a name for it though.

I’m just trying to explain something i was thinking about with the Nightmare still being a child thing so here I go.

He was transformed into the goop at the age of six, which is sad and all because he was just a kid, but also, the goop gives him transforming abilities. An example of it is in Underverse where he can shift and transform to dodge attacks and even absorb knifes and such.

In my mind, since he is an immortal being, what if, when he had transformed into the goop being, that was when his aging froze, and he’s stuck a child now under all that goop. In my mind, he’d have been sitting and panicking as the goop tendrils took care of everyone for him subconsciously. As if protecting him from harm.

After realizing however, that instead of wanting to hurt and scar him like usual, people feared him and would run from him due to the goop, he started using that to his advantage. He would shift and transform to appear older and more threatening, putting on a more ominous mask.

To sum all it up, he looks like an adult and has a more threatening and dangerous appearance to keep himself safe but it’s all just a special form he’s created for himself and his true form is just what he looked like as a six year old kid, except all goopy.

He’s keeping himself out of the possible issues that could occur, along with setting up the Bad Sans to do stuff for him so he wouldn’t have to go out and spread negativity himself, making it so he’s at less risk. Spreading negativity will also make him feel more powerful and less weak, which is something that would comfort him from his past trauma of being too weak to do anything against the bullying, giving him a sense of security.

I think that’s about it. Sorry for just spilling my head cannon all over y’all but I needed to put it somewhere :3
