Children in Gaza are losing their limbs every day—just like the little girl in this heartbreaking photo. The war has stolen their futures, their mobility, and their right to live in peace. My own son, Qais, is just two years old. He was injured in an airstrike, and I cannot afford the medical treatment he desperately needs. Slay the Princess is my latest obsession. May a bit out of place compared to everything else I ever made art for. It is NOT for general audiences and it's a horror game.

I knew about the game months ago when coming across a video essay about it. I was mildly intrigued with its story, but I don't play horror games as I get easily scared.

But curiosity got the best of me and come the Pristine Cut, I decided to play it near Halloween. I was a delight. It helped that it being a visual novel let me take things at my own pace.

I knew all the story's twists and endings, but the interactions with the Princess and the banter between the voices and the Narrator was entertaining and novel. Figuring out which decisions lead me to which path also kept me engaged.

Still, I think it's best to play blind.
