does this keep happening to anyone else or
ughh took forever to make but yall never will catch me editing in this style unless it’s a blue moon
“Four Jews in a Room” is actually right because Marvin, Jason, Mendel, and Trina are usually seen together while Whizzer (the only half Jewish person) is more isolated and moreso the narrator of the family rather than a part of it/ in the room, so to speak
I think the reason why i love and fixate on falsettos so much is because its sung through,,like... There's so many hidden messages, And connections and subtle lore drop......
cborle yelling “you had your chance andrew!” at rannells in 2025 we are so back
Sigh
I wish andrew rannells would come to *my* local mall and solve homophobia...
Here's a close up of my deconstructing the cube page if anyone wants to take a crack at building it yourself. Mines made out of wood scraps.
How I've broken it down was into directions (the first time we see it, the left side is 'east' and the right side is 'west'). You get it. Every block was assigned a letter so I could put it back perfectly every time cause so many of the blocks look the same but have a very slight size difference that throws the whole thing off if placed elsewhere.
The scale is not completely jacked beyond comprehension, but I started with one block and scaled the whole thing around that, so I really had no idea how big it would actually be. Mine is 7 by 6 inches.
Honestly looking at it now, idk how I did it.
It was mostly a process of fuck around and find out. I needed to use every version and bootleg I could to get every angle and see all the details and even then, I'm still confused.
To more or less ruin the illusion, there's a third triangle that doesn't fit anywhere and Whizzer's headstone replaced two blocks [H and I]. So those ones either hang out behind the cube or inside the pocket of space it has.
The whole thing I want to say took me like a week of sawing and sanding wood. (Minus the painting). But I was really determined to get it done before my interest wavered the slightest. Not that it did of course, I was eager to get to work on my next Falsettos-related project. [A hand carved chessboard set] if y'all want to see that, I'll be happy to show you.
found a jacket today and it kinda looks like whizzer’s from the baseball game
now I just need a pink shirt
save me "it must be him" andrew rannells cover SAVE ME
Ok so, Marvin mentions in ‘this had better come to a stop' that he'd rather Whizzer like him for his smarts; and in "Marvin at the psychiatrist" he says one of the things he likes about Whizzer is that Whizzer makes him feel smart. In "the Chess game" Whizzer is acting dumb, like he doesn't even know the pieces or what they do, asking Marvin for help because he's helpless, but he ends up making a very good first move! I think he was just pretending to be dumb so Marvin wouldn't feel emasculated. We also know Whizzer puts on an act to be loved without having to reveal his true self and be hurt when his true self is rejected (though, this usually causes his relationships to be unstable, flings, or casual when he truly wants something meaningful), and I think-if we're using the chess game as a metaphor for their relationship-this may have been Whizzer letting that act go for a second, showing his true self to Marvin, which is why Marvin looks so caught off guard, and also why Whizzer is so horribly upset in "the games I play"; because his worst fear has come true. He showed his true self, and got rejected for it.
