imagine ur prost. random guy chooses YOU to be his rival for no good reason. he is dead fucking set on beating you into the ground and you don’t know why. you guys become teammates. tensions creep up more and more - rivalry turns more intense. you invite the guy to stay at your home. he does but doesn’t talk, sleeps and goes. you go on to win and decide to stop racing in f1 after winning the championship four times. guy becomes depressed because you were his biggest motivation. you watch the races. the guy calls you his friend. you are deeply touched. he crashes and dies two days later.
