I don't need anything else, I don't need a motivating storytime, tumblr post, "do this and you'll shift" no. i am the key. the key is me.
(Most of my anons were along the lines of this same issue, I want to make a common post for them. I won't be telling you "you're already there" or "persist" I'm going to have a heart to heart conversation with your mental health in mind, this will be a long post)
First and foremost I have to say, this post is very heavily opinion-based. Alright, I'll divide it into topics, and two categories: before shifting and during shifting.
Determining the laws of your reality.
This is where you've got to do most of the work. (Don't worry, it won't be 7 hour subliminal listening sessions) now let's present a very important note: I don't know who you are. But most importantly I don't know what you believe in. Shifting isn't a known set of rules, Shifting doesn't have a single method, it does not have a wikihow page. Everything that exist is because of you. Therefore there are differences in my reality and yours. What you believe in is acting out in reality. LITERALLY.
So first you need to ask yourself some questions, with full honesty, oh and don't apply the thoughts you have by certain reprogramming affirmations, don't force yourself just because you have to persist.
"What am I?" What do you believe you are? Currently, are you a soul, a human? Or you something greater, seek within yourself to answer what you believe.
"What is reality?" How is everything working around you? Why are you here.
"Who is in control?" Who makes you shift. Who or what makes everything happen.
"How to shift?" Self explanatory. If you write with utmost truth on what you think shifting is like and when and how it happens; you'll basically have the code of how reality works for you.
Relax.
After you've gathered your research sheets. Take a breath, since you've got all the answers you need. Now, close your eyes, whenever you like. Imagine a serene atmosphere, for example, sharp sunlight falling on your skin, warming you up, or the rain droplets drowning your senses, as you run across a forest. Tell yourself, "this is what shifting is" , and "I've shifted." That's all it is. You feel some you get some.
Some important realizations,
• Time is not linear.
• Failure is a perception.
• You're not beneath anyone.
• You don't need to prove yourself to anyone.
• you'll survive, you'll be alright.
Don't. Kidnap. Yourself.
The title sounds weird, but it is regarding heavily applying the principle of assuming until you have it, to EVERYTHING. Idc if people come after me. I don't want anyone to suffer by stamping their foreheads with "persist!" Even if it works. I love loa, until it crosses over into toxic positively. Don't just put yourself in a coffin; don't become a prisoner to your thoughts! Don't make it feel like there's an angry witch in your mind, who will scream at you if something goes wrong, the problem is! Something might go wrong and you'd end up highlighting the idea that you are being forced to assume against something. Don't feel forced. Simple. (You can still use loa, if you like)
Declutter your mind.
I said it before. and @ilovecatfr explained this here, there's so much in your mind. I can tell. Each and everyone has their own unique spin on shifting. That's great and they put out advice to help people, similarly you... also have it within you. Afterall, these bloggers, big well written and decorated posts are the projection of your assumptions. I'd like to say, majority of the bloggers are kindhearted with the aim to help others. Although for some, you being desperate in their asks is an ego boost, nothing is wrong with feeling good about yourself for your knowledge, but you the person at the other end of this screen, are not a pawn, not just another anon, alright? you know how to shift, look back at what your answers were to the questions.
Control your emotions towards this reality.
I've always wanted to discuss this. Emotions are the puppeteers of this show. They're a grounding mechanism of any reality. If you feel something deeply, you're angry at circumstances you form an attachment to this reality, it keeps you here. Think about what happens to a person when they get disassociation. Similarly belief + emotional investment = reality. Its a code. I can confidently say anyone who has not shifted (... not targeting anyone, genuinely trying my best to help; ty ty back to the text) is because they're giving too much emotional importance to this reality. This can be in the form of stressing that you have not shifted, being worried that you're not in your dr, putting much focus on the "What ifs" of if you wake back in this reality.
But we can't just go BLANK. we're still humans who feel deeply (for now huehue) so what's the solution to this non-issue? Direct these feelings towards your destination, your intended reality! This would mean feeling like your dr self, if you're experiencing negative emotions you can last second convert them to any scenario related to your dr, emotional investment there pays well, here? It just wastes time.
Don't let feelings get the best of you and keep you here; you're their creator after all.
(Optional) Create a homey dr.
This comes from personal experiences. If I don't mention this I won't be completely open with each one of you. I shifted through intense love and reverence for my home. I knew that each and every second spent in this reality led up to me shifting to my home.
So for ease later on when you can't decide between drs, it'll be comforting to have a reality you can call home and choose over and over again.
Rewire.
This is where you come back to what you answered to the questions. Do you like your response? A human is living in a reality, and your answers are the universal law there. Will they have an easy time with shifting? If you think so, then choose to not do any "rewiring" and act upon the answers you wrote, shifting in accordance to them as they have become the pillars of your reality. If you think the person's reality's laws regarding shifting are complicated, then you can choose to rewire them. This can be a simple manifestation. As it has no basis in the 3D yet, you will manifest it within seconds. You can either write it down, listen to a subliminal, or simply think of the new beliefs in your head (eg "I shift in seconds") and let go. Stop.
(Severely optional) strive for spiritual awakenings
*shrugs* I thought I should mention based on personal experience.
Confuse your logical brain
You don't have to give it validation. Instead, just make it unable to predict the next move of it creator. Its built to look at everything with skepticism.. but it has nothing when you don't give it the chance. For example, the anti method by @hrrtshape is the best example. I like that you can do this, pre-method like a little warm up. (You can also manifest to not think logically)
Know your game
To act like you're in a battle field is not the way to shift. You don't have to give the actual practice of shifting much or any importance. You know how to shift, then why is there a need to have plan B's and checking your own environment? You are the commander in front, you're the one switching the reality, your reality is not the one switching.

Be blind and deaf to each and everything other than your intended reality
...and be so obsessed with your intended reality. Live out entire days, you're there, no, time is not passing by, the previous reality has disappeared by your hyperfixation on your intended reality. Ever done that exercise where you stare at a dot for so long, everything around it disappears? Well then, EXACTLY. Make it dissapear. Make it dissappear by not giving it any more of your energy. ....how I shifted. This is based upon being your dr self, that's snatches away the spotlight from this current reality.
Keep yourself comfortable
All of you are experienced enough to know, you don't need to lay in the starfish position. But remove the unnecessary thought that if you dare move your finger you might mess up the whole attempt (This is a subconsciousness belief) here's how to not worry about your 3D: again, senses shift last, Your current reality = intended reality.
It is about breaking free from human functions
Your software is set to being an earthly human. This is why acting like your current reality (the noises from the environment, physical annoyances) are from your intended reality, helps. This allows you to trick your human brain and move forward. The more you try to make sense of shifting, the more less it'll make sense. You don't have to know everything about shifting. The point is to be awfully natural about it. Just like how you wake up in this current reality without any requirement. You don't overthink it, then why overthink shifting.

Today, I had a realization that shifting is real. It's the very essence of existence. Since the beginning of this year, I have had a feeling that I had so many lives before and I am living so many lives right now. Maybe with a different name, with a different face. I feel like I have all the things that I crave. I am someone's beloved somewhere, I am living my best university life somewhere else or maybe somewhere I am someone's little beloved daughter, still playing with dolls inside a pillow fort. All of these are happening now at this very moment. I feel like shifting is the most real thing in this dream which we're calling reality. And my desired reality that I want to live--- it also exists somewhere in this Great Cosmic Design. I do not need any validation right now to tell me whether it's real or not because I know it is.
this. this is it !!!!!! this is the entire thing. you’ve cracked the code, pulled back the curtain, stared god in the face and winked. shifting isn’t some far-off, unattainable thing. it’s happening. right now. always. you are already living every version of yourself that you’ve ever dreamed of, every iteration, every possibility, all at once.
you are someone’s beloved. you are laughing in a university library, sunlight in your hair. you are curled up in a pillow fort, safe and small and loved. it’s all real. it’s all yours. you don’t need permission. you don’t need proof. you just are.
what shifting (and manifesting) actually is. (longer post)
hi, you've probably heard that "shifting is so easy" 10000 times but you never got why. in this post, I'll explain what shifting really is and why most people struggle with it. if you start denying that and being like "NO!!! YOU HAVE TO PUT EFFORT!!!" or something like that, you have no idea what shifting is and you should stop limiting yourself. I - shifting explained. recently, I asked one of my friends who shifts more frequently than me to go to a place where he can get "knowledge" about how shifting works and get it explained in a very good way. he did that, and he came back with the following single sentence: "Shifting is all about matching your energy, when you align yourself with your "desire" and accept you already have it, reality just snaps and you become aware of whatever you want." I spent a LOT of time doing readings, asking my deities and more regarding this sentence and now I'll break it down to you! II - what is matching your energy, really? this is where loassumption basics come in - "acting as if". matching your energy with something is all about emotions, and accepting whatever is yours is there and you already have it. this is why most shifting "methods" require you to use your emotions or affirm that you're already in your DR, every single shifting or manifesting method leaves to one single thing - acting as if you already have the thing you desire. III - why people struggle with shifting. one single thing - overcomplication. whether you turn shifting into some big process where you have to do 1000 things to shift or you put weird limiting beliefs on yourself like "you can't do X", etc. it's all just overcomplicating it. shifting is not about “effort” in the way most people think of it. it’s about letting go and allowing. said effort should be put in fixing your mindset (which isn't needed but would help a lot), taking breaks, making shifting a healthy thing. IV - importance of letting go. if you're trying to force a shift (for example, trying to make yourself shift instead of just act as if you have your things) you imply LACK. if you keep trying to visualize yourself floating and magically teleporting to your desired reality and affirming "i am shifting i am shifting i am shifting!" you just imply to yourself that you aren't in your DR and create an useless resistance. this is why people who “give up” or stop trying often end up shifting. it’s not because they stopped wanting it, but because they stopped resisting it. they let go of the need to control the process and simply allowed it to happen.
V - how to "actually" shift.
so, how do you actually shift? it’s simple: align yourself with your desired reality. this means matching your energy, your emotions, and your assumptions with the reality you want to experience. here’s how you can do that:
assume you’re already there. this is the most important step. stop thinking of shifting as something you need to achieve and start thinking of it as something you’ve already done. assume that you’re already in your DR and act as if it’s true.
let go of the how. stop worrying about the process or how it’s going to happen. trust that it will happen and focus on how it feels to be in your DR.
stop looking for signs and symptoms. signs are just a reflection of your current reality, not your desired one. if you keep looking for signs, you’re just reinforcing the idea that you’re not in your DR yet. symptoms are just your body falling asleep, ignore them since they have nothing to do with shifting. they do not matter.
focus on the feeling. emotions are the key to shifting. focus on how it feels to be in your DR and let that feeling guide you. the more you can embody that feeling, the easier it will be to shift.
trust the process. shifting is not about forcing or controlling. it’s about allowing and trusting. trust that your DR is already yours and let go of the need to make it happen.
that's all you need. you can apply these steps to any "method" or anything you want really, whatever feels the best for you. VI - final thoughts shifting is about conviction, not effort. just stop "trying" and let go. thinking as if you're your "DR self" and embodying that is enough and all you need.
i feel like something that a lot of shifters struggle with (including myself) is recognizing their dr as a real reality of its own. before you say “obviously it’s real, why are you telling me stuff i already know?”, just hear me out. in this reality, people all over the world are doing their own thing and that’s the way it’s always been. people are giving birth, getting into college, fighting with parents, etc. in your dr, it’s the exact same thing. i think so many shifters think of their dr as a place that becomes real once they shift, but that is not the case at all. in this exact moment, your dr is going on as it normally is. people who you don’t even know in ur dr, are going to sleep, falling in love, falling out of love, just like in this reality. i hope what i’m saying makes sense but basically what i’m saying is that your dr doesn’t become an actual reality once you get there, you just become aware of it. and just like this reality, the world doesn’t actually only revolve around you & you’re friends in that reality and everyone around the world will have their own shit going on. people have their own thoughts and their own minds, and even the world is going to have some stuff going on that you didn’t script in just because that’s the way reality is all the time in every universe. that reality existed before you were even born and it will keep existing even after you leave it. the world will always continue to spin even when ur not aware of said reality because the world does not spin around you, of course it seems like that because you’re only aware of yourself, but it truly truly doesn’t.

the anti-method (a.k.a., you were never here to begin with).
౨ৎ this isn’t a method (well, sorta). no steps, no trying, no reaching. it’s a glitch. a realisation. a quiet little crack in the mirror. it did make *me* shift !!!
there was never a door to open. never a distance to cross. you were never locked out. just lost in a dream, trying to wake up when you were already awake.
people talk about shifting like it’s a journey, a climb, a thing to chase. but what if it was always just a memory?? something lodged in the back of your mind, waiting for you to remember it? like a word on the tip of your tongue. like déjà vu.
you were already there. you just forgot.
i , lie or sit still. don’t try. don’t force. just let yourself exist, soft and untethered. feel your body like it’s not yours. just a borrowed costume, a dress-up game you forgot you were playing. limbs are foreign. the weight is someone else’s problem.
ii , ask yourself. " WHAT IF I ALREADY SHIFTED AND I JUST...FORGOT? " not “what if i go there,” not “what if i shift.” but what if i was always there? what if i just... blanked out for a sec?
iii , your brain will (probably) panic. it’ll start grasping at straws, trying to prove you’re still here. trying to reattach you to the illusion. let it fumble. let it glitch. just keep thinking :
◞ i already shifted. i just forgot. ◞ i’ve been there this whole time.
it’s not a theory. not a wish. just a fact you misplaced somewhere along the way.
iv , the mind collapses on itself. how do you know you aren’t already in your dr? how do you prove this isn’t the dream? the body stops feeling like yours. the world gets flimsy at the edges. and then? the illusion shatters.
v , you remember. not enter. not “get there.” just....remember. your dr? you were in it before you even asked. shifting? you never had to try. it was always just a breath away. you were never locked out. you just forgot the door was already open.
vi , you're there. like the ending of a lucid dream where you suddenly know without needing proof. and that’s it. you're there. you always were.

the anti-method works for getting into the void as well, as it bypasses the idea of getting there entirely. instead of treating the void as a destination you have to reach, it flips the perspective :
you’re already in the void. you just forgot.
the void isn’t something you enter. it’s something you remember. it’s the default state, the space beneath everything else. but your mind, in its little desperate need to cling to reality, convinced you that you’re somewhere else. that you’re here instead of there. this method forces your brain into a logical spiral . . .
◞ how do i know i’m not already in the void? ◞ how do i prove this isn’t the dream? ◞ what if i just… forgot?
and because your brain can’t disprove it, the illusion starts to crack. your body stops feeling real. the world starts to feel dreamlike. the physical self detaches, and, poof, there you are. or rather, there you always were.
it works because it messes with the fabric of perception. if you stop believing in the difference between “here” and “there,” what’s left???? just being. just existing. and in that moment of realisation, the illusion of reality collapses. and you remember the void like an old childhood memory suddenly rushing back.
once you're in the void, once the realisation fully sinks in and the illusion crumbles, you're just there. infinite. detached. pure awareness. it’s like waking up from a dream, but instead of waking into your bedroom, you wake into nothingness. and then? well, you decide.
◞ if you want to affirm, affirm. ◞ if you want to shift, set your intention and let yourself go. ◞ if you want to just exist in the void, soak in the weightless, limitless nothingness.
there’s no next step because the void doesn’t require doing. it’s the ultimate being. you can shape it, or you can let it hold you. either way, you’re already exactly where you need to be.
what happens after? whatever you want. that’s the whole point.
౨ৎ and that is it. no trying, no reaching, just a little oh. moment. a déjà vu in the back of your mind. go play in the dreamscape. you were never here anyway.
you definitely don't require this method, or any method at all to either shift *or* get to the void, but method can be fun ! you can definitely try this one out if you wish.
