In my opinion, I find the duality of Jeremy and Michael's relationship to be one of the most beautiful things about BMC relationships.
You can see them as strictly platonic, a ride or die/attached-by-the-hip type of friendship where they see each other as brothers, platonic soulmates even.
Or you can see them as potential romantic partners, childhood best friends whose friendship happened to bloom into something else.
And of course, there's the third option, were the line between platonic and romantic becomes so blurry neither of them know what the fuck is going on, and they are too scared to ask.
And I feel that you'd still be right no matter what you choose. Because they are each other's favorite person and they'd recognize each other in total darkness. And the romantic subtext is there if you want to use it, but if you don't it's fine because the love they feel for the other - call it platonic or romantic - is very much real and you could literally do whatever you wanna do with that.
What I'm saying is that their relationship's nature is something that can bee seen through many lenses and I find that really interesting. Sometimes I'll find myself reading fanfics about them being the most obnoxious couple ever, and the next day I'll be referring to them as platonic soulmates and I think that's awesome.
I rest my case.
