Twelve Forever: Escapism is important in a stressful life, especially for children, but depending on it is unhealthy to the extreme, it’s important to live in the real world too. Growing up is scary, confusing, and involves many things that will make you uncomfortable in your own skin, but it is also inevitable and facing it head on with help from those who care about you makes it a little easier. The most important lesson you learn as you grow up is that the world doesn’t revolve around you and your needs, your friends don’t owe you all their time, and that’s okay. You parents will sometimes mess up, drive you crazy, and, honestly, won’t understand you, but if they love you they’ll never stop trying. Growing up means growing apart from people you were once close to, including family. You can’t be a child forever, you need to enjoy as long as you can, but you also need to know when to let go of your childhood…but never forget it. Children are selfish, creative, emotional, and stubborn, and have no idea where their life is going or what to do when they get there, and that’s okay. They just need a push in the right direction.

Ya’ know how Katara (Better then Pakku) can keep up with Aang’s and Sokka’s antics? Look at Wang Fire, and when Aang was the old dude I like to believe that she can also fully lie to Toph due to being able to be completely calm in such situations, and a great hi jinks partner, but chooses not to because Katara would feel guilty for being able to do so. Tl:Dr Katara can lie just as good as Azula and get by Toph’s seismic sense.

Okay

So, Aggretsuko season 2. We had some good things, some bad, but overall enjoyable & I liked it! That said, here are my thoughts:

I’m so glad that Kabae was given more depth this season! I liked her character in season 1 but was slightly disappointed that she wasn’t given nuance like some of the other characters in the first season, but here she shined & I’m so happy. #KabaeBestMom2019

Anai was… honestly uncomfortable. I’ve dealt woth people like that before (& I’ve even been that person, but thankfully someone told me I was wrong almost immediately), they are not good for a work environment & I genuinely think he should have been fired. His redemption was too sudden & barely explored in any way & that doesn’t sit well w/ me :/

Next, Tadano. Most of the fans love him, but there is a growing group that see him as creepy & possessive. That isn’t the case. Speaking as someone who’s been in Retsuko’s place, they were both in the wrong because they didn’t communicate properly. Yes, they split up because they had different goals in life, but I feel a bigger aspect of them breaking up is that they didn’t communicate well, which is a very important part of any relationship, romantic or not. Tadano should have paid better attention to Retsuko’s reactions to being in such a public light and her feelings in general instead of assuming what he wanted was the right thing, and Retsuko should have talked about her feelings with Tadano from the beginning instead of bottling them up because she has a voice in her relationships. She’s scared to express herself outside of death metal for my next problem…

Finally, here we are. Retsuko’s mom. She is… A lot. Retsuko’s mom brings up a lot of bad memories because I have a father similar to her, demanding and furious when they don’t get their way, while also being infantalizing and taking away freedom of choice. She’s also invasive, both literally and figuratively, and doesn’t respect her daughter as an individual, talking over her and assuming she knows best. It’s played for laughs, but this is a really negative relationship and is what molds anxiety and self-doubt in a person, especially during childhood, and it’s a large contributor to how Retsuko is today.

On a more positive note, I did like the arc between Gori & Washimi. It shows that even best friends can have differing viewpoints about subjects, and while they can be petty about it, willing to put aside those differences for the sake of someone else.

The inherent fucking racism/xenophobia in the “Save Christmas” rhetoric????? They imposed lockdowns twice right before Eid, countless Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist and more holidays went by in lockdown and now that its Christmas it’s somehow more important? People out there telling all of us that our holidays and religions don’t matter and we have to step up for society (which we did btw) are now going “oh no not Christmas whatever will we do??” Now that it’s YOUR holiday you finally pay attention? Fuck off. We could have been careful and ended this months ago but y’all decided to play around until it came to Christmas. The government deciding to not give a shit about Eid but decide to “protect Christmas” tells you everything you need to know.

Edit: Clarification: YourAnonCentral is NOT the “official” Anonymous account. There is none since it defeats the whole purpose of the movement and I thought that went without saying. Furthermore it’s comes to my attention that they are a TERF, and if they’ve changed their viewpoints is something I don’t know. Okay I don’t see a lot of people talking about it, so imma do it myself. Here is a non-spoiler way of talking about a Visual Novel I just played called “Winds of Change” by: Klace *ahem* S o... the art is amazing, and the story line while yes has a few issues, aren't that big, and the choices you can make are actually impactful to the story, while yes in general the same endings will play you can either have more characters, or less depending on how you played, not to mention the weight they have about such choices, plus the soundtrack is amazing. They leave some of the music on repeat in the background and while you can tell it never gets old especially when the story is so in your face, and I a heartless soulless husk of a being hasn't cried since Feb. 15, 2016 I actually almost cried at the end, of this game, and knowing me that is a feat. And while I can go back and replay it to get "better" choices, I think the ending i got was poetic and just to the characters that were apart of it. I get that the style won't be for everyone I EXTREMELY recommend this game to all furries, even if you aren't one it's a game you should give a shot it has given a time I wont forget soon, and I hope that the day I forget any of it is the day I die. Plus the 1-1 with the different characters are all natural and not really forced in my opinion so it leads to great chemistry with all of them. Anyways that’s just me. It’s like 25$ on Steam so if you can buy it, I hope you have a great as a time as I did while playing it.
