“it’s getting really hard supporting lando”
no it isn’t.
Lando cheers for Oscar. He supports Oscar. He highlights Oscar where he can, even when he’s struggling with himself.
“Oscar shows us where the car should be.”
His genuine smiles. The way he looks at him.
They are rivals for a championship title, but let’s be real: Lando’s biggest rival is himself.
He looks at Oscar as someone to learn from, just as Oscar has learned from him. They aren’t total opposites but they’re just different enough to create a necessary balance to be teammates, rivals, AND friends.
Have your favorite driver all you want but these are my driverS. My team. I love them separate as much as I love them together and I know that with how they care for one another they will go far.
lando saying seb always messages him when he needs it the most i’m going to cry
There are already people calling Lando stupid and stuff like that in reaction to the "it takes two video", not being helped by the F1 admin stirring up hate again.
How many times do people have to say having dyslexia or any other learning difficulty or neurodivergence DOES NOT mean you are stupid. And feeding into those ableist narratives doesn't just affect the person targeted but people (like me) who see it and are neurodivergent. And are just frankly wrong!
Lando is very smart, he did an apprenticeship program with Mclaren - at the same time as doing F2. He runs multiple businesses. His technical feedback has been commended by multiple people. And his setups are so good that his teamate uses them (don't even get me started on that!). He has helped him mechanics with things inside of the car that he can do with his mechanic training and he is very knowledgeable about personal branding. That is not stupidity that is intelligence, just not the way society (dominated by discrimination btw) likes.
Be kind pls :)
I don’t remember where I saw this but comparing lando and oscar to max and daniel is the closest comparison about the dynamic in McLaren I think we’ve seen.
- younger teammate taken under the older’s wing for a season
- the older teammate was at the team for a while, and stuck through a flop era
- the car starts getting better, and the younger teammate begins to exceed expectations
- the team tries a “two 1st drivers” strategy
- eventually, the younger driver starts to garner more support within the garage and becomes the de-facto 1st driver
anyway I don’t remember where I saw that but it’s a pretty good comparison, at least much better than brocedes
ESTEBAN SAYING "GOOD" TO OLLIE ADMITTING HE SAID "CIAO" WHEN PASSING AN ALPINE IM CRYING LAUGHING
