São Paulo, 23 de fevereiro de 2016 – A Ubisoft convida a todos para uma aventura selvagem e assustadora ambientada 10 mil anos antes de Cristo. Acaba de chegar às lojas Far Cry Primal, o novo título da aclamada série Far Cry, que se passa na Idade da Pedra e coloca o jogador frente a frente com tribos primitivas e feras extintas há milhares de anos, como tigres dente-de-sabre e mamutes-lanosos. Far Cry Primal apresenta gameplay inovador em estilo mundo a aberto e momentos de extremo perigo na busca por um lugar no topo da cadeia alimentar. O jogo está disponível em português com versões para PS4 e Xbox One pelo preço sugerido de R$229,90. A versão para PC será lançada em 1º de março.

Desenvolvido pela Ubisoft Montreal em parceria com outros três estúdios da Ubisoft - Toronto, Shanghai e Kiev –, Far Cry Primal é uma experiência single player completa que leva os jogadores a uma era em que os seres humanos não representavam uma grande ameaça e precisavam lutar todos os dias pela sobrevivência em um ambiente cercado de predadores ferozes, cenários deslumbrantes e desafios imprevisíveis.

Na pele de TAKKAR, um experiente caçador e último sobrevivente de seu grupo, o jogador chega à majestosa e selvagem terra de Oros e tem um grande objetivo: sobreviver em um mundo onde ele é a presa. Nessa jornada, encontrará uma série de personagens que irão ajudá-lo a superar os perigos da natureza e se tornar um símbolo da luta contra a extinção.  Durante o percurso, será preciso criar ferramentas, usar ossos de animais, caçar, dominar o fogo, afastar animais e lutar contra outras tribos para conquistar Oros.

Diversas armas poderão ser criadas e utilizadas por Takkar, como o mortal arco-duplo, as bombas de abelhas e o próprio fogo. Além disso, suas habilidades especiais de domar e comandar animais selvagens serão fundamentais em sua caminhada. Corujas e texugos, por exemplo, poderão ser chamados a qualquer momento para auxiliar na localização de inimigos e em combates, e se tornarão grandes aliados.

Solar System: Things to Know This Week

Here are a few things you should know about our solar system this week:

1. Beyond Pluto

The principle investigator for the New Horizons mission reports that the spacecraft is healthy and has recently completed the halfway point in its long download of 50-plus gigabits of data about the Pluto system. 4. Bringing Home a Piece of the Sky

Did you know that we’re planning to bring part of an asteroid to Earth? The ambitious OSIRIS-REx mission, which will retrieve a sample from the asteroid Bennu, is slated for launch later this year.

The best time to view the Lyrids meteor shower will be just before dawn on April 23, when the constellation Lyra is overhead and the moon will be near to setting. Scientists record heat moving through materials at speed of sound

Providing unprecedented insight into roles played by individual atomic and nano-scale features, researchers have recorded the first-ever videos showing how heat moves through materials at the nano-scale traveling at the speed of sound.

The groundbreaking videos were made using a state-of-the-art ultrafast electron microscope called FEI Tecnai Femto, which is capable of examining the dynamics of materials at the atomic and molecular scale over time spans measured in femtoseconds (one millionth of a billionth of a second).
